I was thinking the same thing. I think that it would be tacky to become a fan of a CONDOM!
I am not doing it for the same reason. My friends would have a entertainment for a week making fun of me.

I became a fan on facebook. But if you go back to your profile page on facebook you can remove the post about becoming a fan. You will still be a fan but no one will be able to see that you became a fan. 🙂
I have 2 facebook accounts. 1 of them I have no friends, but am a friend of everything.
How do you do that though, do you have to use two different names? I would think your friends could find you on either one…..wish someone could explain this, so I could do it too, hee, hee!
I just use part of my last name. I don’t have a pic either. I’m sure my friends can see it with the “people you may know” feature, but I haven’t gotten any requests, you could always ignore them if you do. I have as little info on it as possible and just use another email address. Its good for some of those silly apps too, I can send myself stuff :).
also, as soon as you sign up, you can defriend them and it will take it off your profile.

I can see why they would want to only allow fans to access the sample because this is exactly the taboo about condoms they want to eliminate. People shouldn’t be scared to say they’re being/want to be safe. I wish it weren’t such a public freebie because there are so many people that would request it otherwise.
But I also think facebook should have privacy settings that can hide your fan pages. Mixed feelings about this one.

You can became a fan, but then go to your profile page and remove the post that you became a fan. So you are still a fan (you can also remove them from your fan page afterward) but no one will see it because you remove the post. I did this because I too have family on my facebook, but I just removed the post that I became a fan and I got the sample. 🙂

It’s not inappropriate. What do you do when your kids ask you about all the free tampons?! My 6 year old son just asked me the other day that question, and like everything else I don’t want to truly answer, I glossed over it saying “It’s just hygiene products for women.” Really, you can make up whatever you want. I’m sure your kids aren’t literally watching what you’re doing on the computer.
Sue, I understand your concern. Some are more comfortable talking to their kids about such things than others.
However, if you feel this way, you should filter what your kids see just like T.V. I don’t feel it would be fair to the rest of us to miss deals on things like this just because it makes a few uncomfortable.

Well I forgot to go hid this on my account. I have some very pudent friends. But I cant have kids for a while I get to sick. I don’t like birth control and It has a history of not working in my family or working to well and cant have kids after using it. well some where not happy. ” I hope this is a joke” and lots of ?????. I told them sorry. I really don’t understandoh ha I do. But I feel that couples need that “love making” for a healthy relationship. And yes some of them only have it to have kids. So what every 2 or 3 years. I guess they must havae a great relationship to not need it.
