Kids Bowl FREE All Summer Long!
With summer fast approaching, I am always searching for fun and free activities to do with my kiddos. For this reason, I love the Kids Bowl Free program offered at participating bowling centers across the country. This program provides kids with 2 FREE games of bowling each day for the entire summer! Here’s how it works…
* Select a bowling center near you: click here to view a list of participating centers (note: more centers are constantly being added so check back if you cannot find one near you at this time)
*Register directly on the bowling center page (The registration is valid only at the bowling center where you register and cannot be used at any other bowling center unless otherwise noted.)
*Once you register, you will have the opportunity to purchase the family pass (You do NOT have to buy the Family Pass; however, if you have adults that would like to bowl throughout the summer, the the Family Pass is a great deal. It starts at $24.95, covers up to 4 adult family members and includes 2 GAMES PER PERSON PER DAY.)
*Once you complete the registration, you will receive 2 emails: (1) The first email is a welcome email and contains your account information (2) The second email is very important…it does not contain coupons, but you will need to click the link confirming your subscription to the service. If you do not click the link, the system will not send your weekly coupons to you.
*The “program start” and “program end” dates are listed on the bowling center page that you register with. You can sign up for the program before the start date, but the coupons and family passes will not be loaded into your account until the start date has occurred.
*Once the program has begun, you will receive an email every Sunday morning that contains a link to your coupons and family passes for that week. (It is not required that you view this email to print your coupons; you can simply login to your account at anytime once the program has started to print your coupons and family passes.)
(Thanks, Stephanie and all you other readers who emailed!)
This is a great deal but check the pricing on shoe rentals. We tried doing this last summer and the cost was more than worth it for the two “free games”.
I did see for $25 each kid you get unlimited shoe rentals. So I guess the deal is worth it depending on how much you plan to go. I wish my cities bowling alley participated but they don’t.
I have to agree with Mer. I have 3 kids and went to our local AMF lanes to bowl “free” with them last summer. It cost $5 each for the shoe rentals so we paid $20 for 4 of us to “bowl free”. I will not be doing that again this summer. I will stick with the free kids’ movies at Regal cinema instead (hope they have that program again this summer, has anyone heard?!).
Same thing happened to us as well. 🙁 Not really a free program.
Yes, they are offering it this year!
Oops, I guess that’s kind of ambiguous…there will be free movies at Regal Cinemas this summer!
May be worth it to buy a pair of 5 dollar bowling shoes from ebay!
Agreed. I just checked bowling.com and they have kids shoes for $33. They ship free but have a $6 packaging fee. Retailmenot.com has a coupon code of “5offnow” to get $5 off your order..making your total shipped of $34 for a pair of shoes. If a rental was going to cost you $5 each time, and you knew you would bowl more than 7 times this summer..it’d be worth it!
Hope this helps if anyone is interested!
Yes Ellin I would agree with that- if you can find cheap bowling shoes on Ebay, yard sale, free cycle, craig’s list then it might be a great deal. However I would check with your local lanes and see if there are any restrictions when using the Kids Bowl Free program- for example are you required to rent the shoes from the lanes???
I thought the same…..buy a cheap pair of bowling shoes at Wal-mart or yard sale or e-bay!!!
We did this last summer. Fun program. The shoe rental issue is there though. Our alley had some slow times that they had half price shoe rental. So, that worked out well!!! Look for this!
Great idea to buy used bowling shoes.
Not in my area…that stinks.!!
Just signed up. Funny how it makes you ready through the family pass info. Keep scrolling down until you see the tiny print for “no thanks”.
I was super excited until I read about the shoe rental prices. Hmmmmmm, I’ll have to figure out something there.
My shoe rental is only $2.50 and they dont carry my daughter’s size as she is 3 years old so I dont even have to pay for that. But if I did here its $2.50 for shoes then $5-$7 per person for the lane its still much cheaper for you to just have to pay for the shoes.
We go bolwing with friends I wonder if we can buy one family pack and put all 3 kids on (her 2 and my 1). So 4 adults and 3 kids.
purchased this for my family AND my sisters family, thats 4 adults and 6 kids (i have 5 she has 1). we are looking into purchasing our own shoes for everyone, wont need them for my 2 youngest tho…will be something great to do on rainy and really hot days! THANKS
I just checked out my alley and $3 shoe rental x 3 kids = $9 a pop. I’ve been pricing shoes all over the internet and not finding any great deals. Youth shoes seem like hot commodities on eBay right now!
I let my Aunt know about this program and it is wonderful for her family. They have 4 young sons (10, 8, 6 & 5) They have had the kids on leagues and things in the past so bowling is in their blood. My Uncle and one of their grown sons both bowl on leagues so they can each bowl with the kids for free anyway. With my Aunt having some issues with back problems and not being able to do as much of the fun stuff this summer… this will be a great treat for the boys. (Going in the moring is perfect since my Uncle leaves for work after lunch and can take them!) She has already made lists of what is expected of them to be able to go bowling each day!
I have also let her know about the Barnes & Noble, Borders (reading programs) and free summer movies… I look forward to more great deal to pass along to her!
Some bowling alleys will let you bowl in your socks! That really is free!
