Target Deals 5/16-5/22
Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Plus, their coupon policy in now available to view online here and price matching policy here. Print them off and keep them with you every time you shop at Target. You also may want to read more about the coupon issues people have been encountering and what can be done about it here.

I might be missing it but I’m not seeing the kleenex coupon on coupons.com
I cannot find the kleenex Q either…
Is anyone able to get more than 1 Target coupon to print? I get one and when I go back, it has disappeared.
I’ve been able to print 2 per computer.
I would love to take part in these deals but the cashiers I have dealt with at Target refuse to take more than one coupon even if I buy 3 of the items. for example. I buy 3 Crystal lites they will only let me use 1 couon total for the entire order because according to them it says only 1 Q per purchase and I told her it means 1 Q per item purchased not per order and she (they ) argue with me and tell me that I have to ring them all up as seperate purchases. then I could not use the $1/3 target Q. I will just print the Q’s including the target Q and see if Publix has it on sale too and use it ther.e Target gets my goat!!
Educate them take in a dictionary. lol
I had some MAJOR issues with coupons at Target this week. Call corporate when you are in the store and they will advocate on your behalf. You can get the # online – or call from the C.S. desk. You are using them appropriately and they need to be informed. You can always print their policy off the website…
I have similiar problems with the Target near me. After trying to educate them several time, I finally gave up. I no longer shop at Target. =-(
When I went to Target on Friday, the cashier automatically tried to tell me that I could only use one coupon per item because her for some reason their system is “TOUCHY” when she saw me coming with a stack of coupons. I informed her of the coupon policy there, showed her the print-out, and stood my ground. She seemed very displeased to tell me after handing me my receipt that I had saved $42.75. I skipped my way out with a smile on my face. Just thought this might help.
I will print the polocy and try again. It is so frustrating and if they do it to me again I am gonna scream. ๐
Policy. lol
i just ran into this problem this week….target HAD been my store of choice. they tried to limit me one coupon per purchase, i tried to tell them what a purchase was…..you would think being in retail you would know some of the definitions that go along with it. I tried to call corp, but the woman on the phone didnt speak english very well and didnt know how to transfer my call to a supervisor…..i have run into this problem at three different targets in my area, even if i do get to use more than one coupon, then they tell me they have the right to limit the quantity of items they are selling me….mind you i was only buying 3 or 4 and usually different scents. if they want these items to stay on the shelf then why are they in business! they also tried to tell me that their coupon policy has changed and when i ask to see a copy of it, they say they dont have it.
Noticed that there is a 5 dollar off coupon for Aveeno ageless vitality from coupons.com as well as one on the Target site. Not sure how much the product will end up being but could be a good combo.
I tried this at Target…the product is about $40. I (like you) thought something might be free.
Thanks good to know. Not something I really need yet! Maybe I’ll leave the coupons on the product for someone else to use.
You should get it at CVS! You get $5 ECB’s back, plus there’s a $10 rebate to get back. The one at my store was 23.99.
I used the $5 off $30 of children’s clothing which consisted mostly of clearance items (including boys’ shirts for $2.48 each.) But the best deal was printing the $3 off any Merona dress. I found a dress on clearance for $6.48, so after the coupon I paid only $3.48 for it. I love a bargain!! Thanks for sharing the link.
I just got back from Target and I found those clearance flip-flops, actually a couple different styles for $3.48 here in S.E.Michigan. The Jergens lotion was there, I did the cheese deal, but the Wheat thins were $2.50 each and not $2.14 each like Collin has posted, but still a good price. My total before coupons was $90, and after I paid just $56.00! Love it! Oh, plus there is a lotion called Giovani Organic body care with a ‘try me free’ peelie on it. I got that too, but on a separate reciept – it’s a $9.99 lotion otherwise!
Don’t forget if you’re going to buy all the Kraft products that if you requested the summer sample pack from Facebook, it came with a $10 rebate form for a $30 Kraft purchase starting on 5/23…so wait until next week to make those Kraft purchases if you have that rebate form.
I just got my Delicious Summer Savings pack in the mail today. Yea!!!
I got the one that had a coupon for a free package of Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh lunchmeat. Anyone have a guess as to whether Target would let me use the free coupon when doing the deal Collin posted if I use the Target Q 1st?
Buy 4 Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Lunchmeat $3.04 each
Total = $12.16
Use 4 $1/1 coupons from here (youโll need 2 computers) ** 2 $1 Qs and -3.04 for free Q)
Plus, use the buy 3 get 1 FREE Target store coupon from here
Final cost $1.02 each!
FYI – the above post looks confusing. I copied and pasted Collin’s post and the part after the ** is what I plan to try.
I’m wondering if there will be beepage with some of the new Target coupons…for example…..the Kraft dressing…..you are buying three and using three MC for $0.55 off each bottle…when you stack the Target coupon (Buy Two Get One Free) will it beep since you are using a $0.55 MC on a “free” bottle? I have a lot of trouble at Target with beepage and my store does not allow any type of overage (they adjust the coupons). Just wondering if these new Target coupons will cause me any problems ๐
Tobi, I’m thinking if you use your manufacturer’s coupons first, you shouldn’t have problems with beepage. But, if the Target coupon does beep, they can clearly look in your cart and see that you bought 3 total.
when i did the bop it/monopoly deal, i used a manufacturer coupon on the free one, and no beepage. the free one is a target promo, wouldn’t they rather get some of their money back on a free item target offers than no money at all? I also had more coupons thatitems because I had 2 TQ and i man for 2 items.
I said that backwards. I had 2 man Qs and 1 TQ
Thanks for the replies! I’ll give it a try ๐
No beeps! Thanks for the comments!
Has anyone else had trouble with stores taking printable coupons? Both Dollar General AND Wal-Mart refuse to take my printables, regardless of what their coupon policy says.
The manager at DG told me today that they didn’t used to take the internet coupons but they just started taking them. Seems it should be the same everywhere. I went there today and got 4 SURE (I think it was SURE) deoderants that were $1.50 each and used 2 coupons for $3/2 ๐ For some reason it wouldn’t work when I did it in one transaction, so we just did it in 2. Also the Gillette body wash was $2. Used my q for $4/2. So I ended up just paying pennies for the items, since I had to pay the tax. I’ll settle for that! LOL!
If my brain is functioning properly, then I am dong this deal:
Buy 2 gallons of milk
Buy 4 Nabisco Cookies (2 Oreo Fudge, 1 Nutter Butter, 1 Golden Oreo)
Use 2x $1 Oreo Fudge
Use 2 BOGO from Nabisco FB page
Use B3GO Target Q
2 gallons of milk, 4 packages of cookies for REALLY cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not see a $1/1 Maxwell House coupon in my 5/16 SS as listed above in the $5 gift card deal. I only have the $1/2 in my SS. Anyone else?
I was able to find one pair of the merona flip flops on clearance today for 3.24, so I only paid 24 cents!!! I was so excited!!!Thanks Collin!
Ok so I went to Target last night with coupons and corporate policy in hand but still had a problem. Because I had over 10 coupons a supervisor needed to come over and scan the coupons. She told me that on the items where the amount was less then the coupon amount that I could not use the coupon. (in the past…and actually this same supervisor had always adjusted the coupon down) I referenced and showed her the corporate policy and she said that the store policy had been changed in the last 2 weeks. She had nothing in writing to provide me. It just seems silly to me that Target would lose out on this business and also waste employee productivity. I had her take off all of the items that I was not able to use coupons on..which all had to be restocked on the shelves. Seems like a huge waste of time to me. I will contact the corporate office today. I just dont understand why they would not accepts the coupons and by the way these were not even internet coupons just regular coupons from the sunday newspaper. I am realatively new to couponing and it is a real shame that some of these stores make you feel like you are a criminal or doing something wrong by using coupons. I am just trying to save my family money. Any advice here?
I agree – Target seems more intent on losing sales than on making any money – they really don’t get that they will receive all that money back from the manufacturer. I encounter this too often to shop much at Target anymore…
unfortunately, all you can do is what you have planned to already. Sometimes a policy may be updated and someone misinterprets it. For example, I went to Wags and was informed they no longer give rainchecks. What it actually was, was that they PREFER not to give a raincheck by offering to substitute a similar item. BIG difference! So, call corporate, get a reference #, and try going when they corporate is open so you can call while in the store. Then you can give the operator your reference #, they can look it up, and it won’t take as much time. I am always at the stores late when corporate is closed b/c I go when my kids are asleep, so I always end up calling the next day, too.
Seriously understanding your pain. Read my posts below. They have lost my business, not just for coupons but ALL purchases.
I went to Target last night in hopes of some awesome deals on merona stuff. Well I was able to snag one. I got a cute little pair of merona flats (NOT FLIP FLOPS) for .14cents!!! Yeah! Took some digging around but I found a deal. Thanks Colin for heads up on the coupon.
I used two B1G1F Nabisco 100 calorie pack coupons on four and used a Target B1G1F Oreo product coupon. I could have used two, but I didn’t have two with me. I would have had to buy four Oreo 100 calorie packs instead of the choc covered pretzels. That would have been sad, but cheap!
I guess these are Super Target prices because the only Oscar Mayer stuff I found was $3.14 for the 9-oz. Deli Select (I think). Still, I had a $2/1 and three $1/1 so they were only $1.01 each or so.
Collin rocks.

I’ve noticed that some of the coupons I print off Target.com say “Target Web coupon” at the top and some say Manufacturer Coupon but has the Target logo on the coupon. If you read the fine print the manufacturer cpn can be used anywhere (might have trouble at other stores) I’m guessing that you cannot use two “manufacturer” coupons on one item even if they have the Target logo. But you can use a Target Web coupon and a manufacturer coupon. Might be worth investigating?
Just found the cutest pair of flip flops for $.48 after coupon! Thanks Collin!
Got a pair of flip flops for .48 cents and a scarf w/ the 2 dollar coupon for 1.24! I have not had a problem using the coupons, however, I do agree that they act like your some kind of scam artist. They check and verify that you bought everything you have a coupon before. It has been a long time since I worked retail but whenever I scanned people’s coupons they wouldn’t work if the person had not bought the item. You didn’t have to visually check.
ok, heres my target issue last week. sorry its long, but this is my frustration. I did this deal that you’ve all done:
2 razors: $15.98
minus 2 $1/1 TQs: $13.98
minus 2 $5/1 MQs: $3.98
get back $5 gift card
Wrong! my cashier wouldnt even Scan my second $5 Q – she said she couldnt take it because I was getting back a gift card. when i asked why, she says its just how they are doing it. So i blow it off, only cause i am really running late so i had to go. Later at home I called corporate.
1st Call, i was disconnected after 10 minutes of hold time.
2nd Call: I say Hi, I am trying to get in touch your corporate office. He says and i Quote “then WHY are you calling the Customer Relations Department?!” The phone just happens to disconnect again.
3rd Call: the lady says she will pass along my frustrating coupon experience to the higher ups, but i should have dealt with it in the store when i was there. i said, so i am just out $5 then? she said not necessarily. she wasnt there and she didnt see the coupon, so who is she to know that the coupon was valid to begin with. (i guess i was just lying then?!!!). she doesnt get my phone # or anything, just blows me off.
4th call: They tell me they have to research the situation and get back to me. She calls me back an hour later and says, Im sorry but my supervisor said that you were in the wrong. I say I would like to speak with him because I am looking at their coupon policy and it specifically states otherwise. She said I cant talk to him because she cant transfer from her phone. So I say have him call me. She says he cant cause his phone Doesnt Dial Out!! She suggested that I hang up with her, go back to the original line and ask for him.
5th call: Finally get to talk to this suppsed manager. I explain their coupon policy. He says that I wouldnt know their policy about gift cards because there is nothing online posted about that, so only he can see that policy. HA, EXCUSE ME!!! so he is making up stories, and i was persistent. All of a sudden, he agrees with me but says the only this he can do is send me out a voucher for target dollars. they are worth $3 each and he is only sending me 1. so i tell him, great so i am out $5 but you are going to be nice and send me $3? im still out money!!! he finally decides to send me 2 of them.
so, yay. after hours of persistance because the cashiers havent got a clue…(oh and he tells me that next time i should call from the line so they can train their cashiers over the phone!!!!!!)…i made an extra $1.
Sometimes when I have that issue at one of my particular Targets, I just take the Q to the CS desk and get them to reimburse me then. They rarely ask for a reason why I didn’t give it to the cashier. So they scan my receipt, scan my Q, then give me back the cash.
I’m sorry about your frustration. You were way more persistent than I was!!! At least you made a $1??? ๐
The only time that I have called corporate from the store, I was in the customer service area using their phone for 45 minutes. The person on the other end was very difficult to understand and I think they spent more time telling me about new promos and products than they did resolving the issue.
I was attempting to buy several trial sized products and in the end they left it up to the store manager who said she thought that a reasonable limit was 6 of an item per household.
I still shop Target, but I’ll admit I almost gave up after that. Plus, I had my baby and frozen items in my basket during that phone call.
I understand your frustration but it sounds like you just wasted ALOT of time to try to get $5.00 back, does not seem worth it. I mean I am all for saving money but time is money too and your time is valuable. Why not just return the items or not buy them when they wouldn’t take your coupons?
Anyone have luck w/the Wheat Thins deal yet? Something tells me they are going to have a problem attaching a coupon to the “free” item.
I can’t get those oreao coupons on facebook – I kkep trying to scratch for the coupons but nothing scratches – can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. are coupons still available there?
I went today and did the, buy two large packs of Huggies Snug & Dry diapers get a $5 GC. They were $19.97 a piece and I used the $3.00 off Huggies Snug & Dry printable coupon. I was going to try to mix and match with the Little Movers but they were out. I had a $3.00 coupon for those to, oh well. Still a pretty good deal to me! I also got a McCormmick seasoning on their clearance shelf-$1.77, only .77 after my $1.00 mani cp. Their huggies wipes tubs are $2.39 so I got two and used my $2.00 of two. Making those $2.78 (not as good as the WM deal but close). I got a couple of other deals there as well. No problems with the cashier taking my coupons.
I did the windex all-in-one outdoor starter kit deal where you use the man. coupon along with the target coupon and still used another target coupon to get the $5 gift card, and all went fine. I tried to do it again on Sat., and they wouldn’t allow me to do the deal. They said I could only use one of the two target coupons. So, I either get the gift card or use the other coupon. Why is it so inconsistent???
As far as the stacking policy, I have noticed that by our registers it clearly states that you can stack one man. coupon with one target coupon per item.
Has anyone gotten the 100 calorie deal listed above? I went today and used 2 B1G1F coupons from facebook and the buy3 get 1 free target coupon. i watched the cashier scan the target coupon and the $2.40 come off, but when i got home and looked at my receipt it only has the 2 – b1g1f coupons ($2.40 off each). I am assuming once the computer took off the “free” one’s with the manufactorer coupons then it put back the amount from the target coupon. If somone else has done this deal will they check their receipt and let me know if they go credit for both B1G1F manufactorer and also another $2.40 taken off for the target coupon?
I tried this deal last night and it didn’t go well. My understanding is you can buy 4, using 2 bogo man, q’s and 1 bogo target q’s (because you can use 1 man. and 1 target q on the same item) and he didn’t let me. He said I had to buy another set of 2 items to use the third q. I got so mad because he kept interrupting me while I was trying to talk so I gave up, took the q’s back and had his take it off the bill. He said they had to go by the fine print now so they get credit.
I just got back from Target and I stacked and used several of one coupon. I luckily got a sweet young man who made sure they all rang up. My total before coupons was 77.00 after coupons it was 38.00. Thanks Collin for all the great target deals. I can’t believe I got lunch meat for 1.28 and 100 calorie packs for .60. They also had Angel Soft toilet paper on sale. 12 double rolls for 4 bucks usually 5.99. I didn’t have a coupon but this was such a great deal I bought 3 packs. Love saving money and love your website.
Where is the Crystal Light coupon? The link takes me to the home shopping network and I don’t see any coupons.
Target used to be my favorite store, and instead of being treated like a “loyal” customer, they treated me (as others have experienced) like a “scam” artist. Who is feeding this system? The manufacturers who are issuing coupons on Sunday papers and other flyers, and Target, themselves, who issue coupons — to attract shoppers? But when shoppers like us act shop wisely, and make use the coupons that were made available to us by themselves — we are being discriminated. I have my own solution — I stop shopping at Target and go to others stores like CVS, Albertsons, Rite-Aid, Walgreens — and many times — their prices are actually cheaper and they just follow what their policies say. I live here in Irvine (OC, California) — I wished they have Walmart here.
UGH! Not a happy first trip couponing at Target. I did get come major deals, but the cashier told me that she couldn’t take the coupons that exceeded the value. I told her the coupon policy states otherwise. She said that if I read all the fine print, it says that each store can decide if they adjust the counpons and their store doesn’t adjust the coupons. I had printed out the policy, but not all the fine print at the bottom, so I wasn’t sure if she was right??? I came home and looked. I don’t see anything that says that. Also, on the 100 calorie Nabisco deal, they said I had to buy 5 boxes to use both coupons. HUH??? That doesn’t sound right? I have been couponing for years, and no other store that stacks coupons has ever told me sucha thing. I emailed corporate today. Not expecting much results but we will see. (Why would I want to shop at a store that you have to constantly argue your way out the checkout?)
Called corporate. I was told that I was right and that the cashier SHOULD have adjusted to coupons AND I should not have had to buy another Nabisco 100 cal snacks… BUT when I went to the store with this info, they would not budge. I had them call corporate… after waiting for an hour, they returned saying they could not do it and that the rep did not tell me those things… OK… not happy, but I bit my tongue… HARD. So I called corporate from their phone. They politely informed me that they were documenting everything. Thank you for writing down my complaint, Mr. Corporate Guy. Seriously not worth the hassle and definitely NOT worth being called a liar, no matter how politely they say it. Thankful I was able to hold my redheaded temper at bay, but I will also be holding my wallet very far from Target from now on.
I tried this deal and was able to use the B1G1 coupons, but the cashier refused to take the b3g1 target coupon for nabisco cookie product b/c it beeped. I walked over to customer service and she then said these must not count as a cookie product???? She then said, ‘sorry I tried–but it won’t let me take the coupon” I was bummed. Did this happen for anyone else?
I had no problem using all three coupons. Bought 4 100 calorie packs- used 2 BOGO coupons, plus the target coupon. Use the BOGO coupons first! All your doing is getting the BOGO deal, then stacking the Target coupon — which coupon policy states clearly you can stack manufacture coupons and target coupons.
Sorry it’s not working for you. Try another cashier. ๐
All these comments would be such a wealth of helpful info for corporate in improving their customer service in the area of dealing with coupons. Hope someone from Target is following all these comments. Couponers are very faithful when a place is known for being “coupon friendly”!
I went to target last night and did the wheat thins deal with NO issues. My cashier didn’t even blink. I had some coupons for travel size-no issues. The only one that beeped was the $2 on the Jergens Natural glow since it was 1.99. I told her that was why it was beeping-and she just put it through without batting an eye.
Scored at Target sunday…..used the $3 merona coupon on a pair of flip flops for my little one….that just happened to be on clearance for $3.24…….24 cents….are u KIDDING ME!!!! Gotta luv it!
I found a pair today for $2.48 (I had to dig). They adjusted my coupon down so they were a big, fat, FREE! Love that! I noticed the coupon is no longer on their site, I was going back for another pair ๐
I still had the $1.50 off of two Classico Pasta Sauces, at Target they’re on sale for $1.99. Oddly enough the large jars as well as the smaller. So I got two for $2.48! (Or each for $1.24).
Target does match other stores prices. Meijer has the Oscar Mayer bacon on sale 2 for $5.00. Target has a buy 3, get 1 free coupon making it $7.50 for 3 packages. Meijer has Kraft cheese on sale 2 for $5, if you buy 2, use 2 $1.00 off and then the Target $1.50 off 2, it would make it $1.50 for 2 packages of Kraft cheese. Meijer also has Kraft dressing on sale for $1.89. If you use the buy 2 get 1 free coupon from Target, it would be $3.78 for 3 bottles. ๐
I used the $5 off benedryl etc. Unfortunately my target in Potomac Mills (VA) has the itch sticks cheaper (2.39) so I knew there would be beepage, instead I got 1 itch stop stick and one to-go spray, then 2 visines. More things I will actually use vs sitting in my closet till they expire. I think the Visine was 3.99 so 2 visines for 1.50/ea is great. Maybe Ill go back when I feel like fighting with the cashier.
Do I hand over the taget coupons or the manufacturer coupons first?? Thanks!
I don’t think it really matters. I had luck the other day handing over target q’s first and then manufactures.
Energy smart light bulbs were on sale for $1.99. Plus there are $2 Target coupons a while back that did not have a print limit, also $1 GE coupons in the inserts. I was able to use my Target coupons first, which automatically took off $1.99 then used my $1 GE coupons to score $1 in overage — no beeping!
Did anyone else have this problem? I went to Target today to do the travel size sales and the lady manager said that ALL coupons are NOT for travel sizes regardless if they say it or not and they won’t take them. I had to put all my travel sizes back. Granted it would have been some decent overage because the ts deodorant was clearance too but aren’t they supposed to take them? I thought as long as it didn’t say ‘not travel size’ its legit for any size item. Help!!!! Seriously confused!!!
