  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

congrats on winning – but where do you get kraft cheese for 74 cents???

    • jen

Sale + coupons! I’ve gotten it free after catalina before… you can get as many as you have coupons for & freeze them if you won’t use them before they expire.

    • Michelle H

Yep, what she said^^^^! My local grocery store had Kraft Cheese on sale for $1.25 and I had $1/2 coupons I used. And yes shredded cheese freezes well.

      • terri

thanks for that tip, I never froze cheese before.

        • Lisa

Block cheese doesn’t freeze that well b/c once it defrosts and you try to slice it, it crumbles. Some people preslice it then freeze!

      • Angie U

So when you defrost the package do you have to use it all at once or can it just go back in the fridge?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I put it back in the fridge if I don’t use it all. Now remember that it’s only the shredded cheese that freezes well. Not the BLOCK cheese.

  13. Rhonda W.

  31. Olivia

    Congrats!

I am so going to try this recipe, it looks so yummy!

  32. Barbara

Congrats and I have a quick probably silly question. Do you cook the biscuits first then cut them into 4ths or do you cut them uncooked then throw them into the mix. I’m thinking probably not cook them but not sure what you’re supposed to do!! Thanks in advance.

    Barbara

    • Michelle H

The biscuits are uncooked. Sorry I should have clarified that….

      • Lisa

DO they cook thouroughly? My mom used to top chicken pot pie with biscuits and the underside never cooked- they were doughy/raw. YUCK!

        • Lisa

I should have said she would make homemade ckn pot pie and use the biscuits for the top.

    • Michelle H

Yes they should cook throughly if you bake it long enough. 40 minutes is usually what it takes but if you see that the middle of the casserole is still doughy leave it longer.

  33. Christine

U totally deserve to win!! That looks awesome!!!!!!!

  34. Tiffany

When you say use 2 packages of biscuits are those the 8 count or 5 count? Congrats! I’m excited to make this recipe!

    • Michelle H

The biscuits are the 8 count size. I should have specified that with the recipe. Sometimes you get use to making something and you kinda forget things like that. Sorry!

      • Tiffany

No need to say sorry! Thanks so much!

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That looks tasty! I wonder if it’d be good with tofu or boca crumbles. Might have to try it!

  36. Annmarie

    That looks delicious! Congratulations!

  37. Michelle H

Thanks for all the congratulations! I hope you all enjoy it! I’m still in shock….

  38. melissa

    Congrats Michelle!

  39. fran

Michelle H., Congratulations…way to go! Enjoy that KitchenAid 🙂

  40. Marie

Have you tried this with Cream of Chicken Soup? I don’t think I have Cream of Mushroom. If not I can get some at the store soon. I have all the other ingredients and this looks so good!

  41. MoKeaton

Does it have to be cream of mushroom soup? Could I maybe try cream of celery, or cheesy broccoli or something? I hate Mushroom anything! But this sounds good, without the mushroom stuff of course. Oh, and I’m not to keen on soggy bread, so do the biscuits get all soggy, or do they cook like a pizza dough? Congrats!

    • Michelle H

I’ve never tried with any soup other than cream of mushroom. I probably wouldn’t try cream of broccoli maybe cream of celery. No the biscuits aren’t soggy they cook like pizza dough

  42. Lauren

It looks so good! Great job!

  43. Annie

Looks yummy. I’m definitely going to try it with all the canned biscuits I have! Isn’t it crazy that the green pepper costs so much compared to the other ingredients. I know those prices are with coupons, but still I think produce is too expensive. Congrats to the winner. I hope we get to see the other recipes too. I need some quick cheap ideas.

  44. jae

Wtg on winning!!! That sure looks good , i might make the lower calorie version 🙂

  45. terri

do you need to spray the pan first?

    • Michelle H

I would spray the pan first.

  46. Jen

I made this for dinner tonight and my kids are inhaling it!!!!! Thank you so much for the recipe!!!! I did spray the pan first. YUM!!!

    • Michelle H

      I’m glad you like it!

  47. learningcoupons

Congrats, and that is an awesome prize!! This looks sooo delicious! I want to try it. When you say cut the biscuits in 1/4ths, do you mean cut the can of biscuits into 1/4ths or each biscuit? And then you just mix them in or do you put them on the bottom? Sorry, I don’t understand…I’ve just never heard of doing that before:).

    • Michelle H

I cut each biscuit into fourths. Then stir it into the pizza sauce mixture.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

looks good…but, not at all healthy!

  49. marie

oh yummy! I can’t wait to try this out. Thanks for sharing!

  50. Jen

learningcoupons, I mixed it all together and then poured in the pan. I thought the same thing as you did but tried it anyway and it comes out great!
