Old Navy: Flip Flops ONLY $1!!!!!!!
Be sure to head over to Old Navy this Saturday, May 22nd, for the One Day Wonder Sale. You’ll be able to snag flip flops for a buck (regularly $3.50). There is a limit of 5 per customer and most stores open early; check your local store for hours.
Are you planning on snagging some $1 flip flops or do you fear the crowd?!
(Thanks, Clippin’ With Carie and Good Deal Mama!)
haha:i fear the crowd, i went last year when they had $2 tanks and about got killed. the cashier said its worse during $1 flip flops so ill pass for safetys sake 😉
yea i went last year and it was nuts!!! worse than black friday for sure!!!
This is what I gonna do today
get 10 pairs at $2.50ea (online price)
pay $25 OUCH!!!
Tomorrow take receipt for adjustement and get back $15
I’m 9 months preggo and don’t want to get crushed by the people tomorrow
or get in jail to kick someone in their faces…for sandals..lolz
will they do that since its a one day only sale?!?!
buy the flipflops today, and yes they will price adjust if you bring your receipt in tomorrow. you have a better chance at getting the colors and sizes you want by going a day early.
I just called my Old Navy in Fayetteville NC and They will NOT price adjust because it is a one day deal. So, call and make sure before you do it!
I was at the Algonquin, il store and the sales clerk said YES they would do a price adjustment…but I would have to bring the receipt in tomorrow only since its only a ONE day sale. I bought 10 (5 in each transaction) and she said that was fine! Algonquin opens at 7a.m. tomorrow!!!!!! so check your local store! I would think even if your store doesn’t allow it, I would still buy them today and then bring them back tomorrow with your receipt to return and rebuy them!! The sales clerk also told me when I come back to do the price adjustment come later in the day when the store isn’t so crowded, that way I won’t have to wait in a super long line!! Great idea! Also don’t forget to use your coupons, 10% off from your surverys!!
If you’re going tomorrow anyways, what’s the difference? Plus, it’s a limit of 5 per person…
The pro is that you can wait to go in for your price adjustment after the lines have died down and the flip flops have sold out. But the limit is 5, so I think you would have to do two transactions and take a second person in with you for the price adjustment if you wanted to get 10. I plan on picking some up today and doing that. I can’t stand in line for an hour with two little ones but I really want some cheap flip flops!
Old Navy typically doesn’t do price adjusts on one day wonders. I am a manger and have worked there for two years. We have been told not to do them.
I bought my flip flops already and was told they would not price adjust. Figured I’d just return them and then rebuy them. Either way I’m not out much.
I bought my flip flops already and was told they would not price adjust. Figured I’d just return them and then rebuy them. Either way I’m not out much. Also if you have an old Navy card, you probably got a $5 coupon in the mail the other day – so 5 pairs would be FREE!!
I called old navy corp and asked if they would reduce the price if I already bought them. They said no because its a one day wonder sale. She said you could take all the shoes back with the recpit and return them then rebuy them at $1.00 each.
smart girls hahaha …I’m going to pass too…its not THAT big of a savings anyway! Plus I really don’t like their flip flops…they’re cheaply made and hurt my feet!
I went for the $2 tanks last summer – waited in line for a LONG time and then when the store opened, they opened both doors and people FLOODED in from the parking lot and went in ahead of those who had been waiting! RUDE! lol
is this deal at the outlet stores as well?
If you buy more than 1 pair you get them for $2.50 apiece. It’s only $1.50 in savings.
I asked at my Old Navy in Orem, UT and she said they would NOT price adjust for the special day sales, Just an FYI.
our old navys in texas will price adjust. there is no exclusion on their policy.
Not worth it for me. The cashiers at my Old Navy (Spartanburg, SC) NEVER enforce the limit rules and people go CRAZY getting 20-30pairs. Not to mention that they are almost violent at these sales. I went to the $1 flip flop sale last time and the $2 tank top sale & was almost pushed down both times. Flip flops are not worth it for me, but good luck to all of you who go.
Not worth it- been there, done that and it IS SOOOO much worse than Black Friday shopping…ppl are just really inconsiderate sometimes. Good luck to those who brave it!
This is off topic but I need help!
A few months ago I saw on a few different blogs an excel spreadsheet that perfectly laid out grocery spendings/savings. My computer was wiped out and I lost the program now I cant remember what blog I found it on.
Does anyone have this??
Thanks!
Is it Grocerysmarts.com ?
I love the one from Fistfulofcoupons.com it’s under the organizing tab. It is so clear and easy to use! hope that helps
Nah not worth it to me since I got some really cute flip flops from Target for $.24-$.48!!
After getting my $.48 flip-flops at Target, $1 seems like way too much to spend! lol
I’m up early with my two kids so i usually hit up Old Navy when they open and i’ve no problem with big crowds. I might try tomorrow since i live in flip flops and i need a few other things from there anyway. If it looks crazy i’ll just drive right on by 🙂
if you must; wear – helmet, goggles, knee/elbow pads, shield and a big stick to wack those crazy women out of the way..
No, not worth it for cheaply made shoes.
The temptation to overbuy since it’s just $1 would be too much.
It kinda makes me laugh because many people would buy 1 or 2 pair, maybe 3 at $2.50.
Lower it to $1.00 and they probably buy 15 pair! (And yes I believe there are ways around the “limit”.
Well, I could see getting involved if you had a large group of people to purchase for, maybe for a vacation bible school craft involving flip flops, etc.
But not for just my family’s use.
Nope. I hate their rubber flip flops, they crack the heel of my foot and make them so dry when I wear them. I still have 2 pairs never worn I got for $1 a few years ago.
I went last year and wow was it something. The lines were very long and the people who were shopping were very rude. I know they say there is a limit of five but at the store I was at there was no limit. I’m talking arm fulls, buggy fulls and sack fulls.
Have a question please girls help me
about sandals my feet sweat horrible in the summer
the sweat convert in mud in seconds believe I have to carry with me a bottle of water to wash them before I hit the store or a public place…so embarrasing
Have anyone a tip to control the sweat????
I love flip flops and sandals also ballerina shoes but hate when my feet sweat and mud get between my toes that you can hera the squeeze squeeze 🙁
My hands and feet sweat really bad especially in the summer. I have a prescription solution from the dermatologist I put on my hands and feet at night that helps tone town the sweat glands. It’s called Drysol. There was also an oral medication I tried, but didn’t work for me. My Dr. said you can also get Botox injections in your hands/feet that lasts for a few months.
Otherwise, I pretty much only buy sandals with cloth or fuzzy bottoms. Yes, they get smelly, but that’s better than slipping and sliding all over the place. My feet actually swell up if I sweat wearing non-fuzzy bottom shoes and it’s very painful. I only wear flip-flops at the pool or outside at my own house.
Did anybody else get a coupon in the mail in the past day or two for $5 off any old navy purchase!? This would make your 5 flip flops completely free if you’re willing to brave the madness! I am not planning on going for the flip flops, I may go in the evening, if it’s not still crazy, to see what’s left and get some summer stuff for the family.
I got that coupon! I’m not going to use it tomorrow, though…I went last year and the line-up was out the door (from the back of the store) and I just turned around and walked out. I went to some other one-day wonders last year, and they were great, I had no problems…Just the flip flops, apparently.
Fear the crowds. Unfortunately, I will be working at Bath and Body Works that day, so I will still be affected. Last year we had a lot of customers who couldn’t get into Old Navy, so they came to our store to shop.
My husband works Saturdays so it would me just me and my six kids who all hate to shop. Definitely think I’ll pass on this one!!!! A couple years ago they had a sale on jeans ($7 for kids $12 for adults I think) and I got there an hour after the store opened—and they had hardly any left in the sizes we needed!! Plus a big crowd of rude people. This would probably be worse!!
I went last year. The shoes were nice laid out. You could only get the plain color ones and they were in boxes on the floor. The pain was the line it wrapped all around the store. Many of the people had WAY more than 5 so they had everyone in their family buying 5 each or doing tons of different transactions. My daughter really needs a couple of pairs, but I don’t think I will venture out. Will see?
I’m going to pass and wait for the next “first 50 get 50% off.” This has occurred twice in my area (Maine) and I’ve gotten to the store an hour or two before the store opened at 9 am and maybe one or two people at that would be around. The first time this happened it was very unorganized and in November (it was cold!) but everyone was really patient and nice. The second time they gave out wrist bands to the first 50 so people in line an hour or two before could wait in their cars or grab something to eat before heading into the store and not need to worry about their place in line.
I really need some new flip flops but i rather not get killed! lol walmart has some very very similar for 2.50 so I bought a few pairs there a few weeks ago
Definitely not worth it for me. I’d rather pay the couple extra bucks to not have to fight over a pair then wait in line forever. I think it’d only be worth it if you were going to buy a lot of pairs.
I think I’ll head out and snag a few. I am truly a flip flop girl!
I called the Old Navy store and asked about the price adjustment tomorrow and they will do it. Bring in the receipt anytime tomorrow. Also another pro to buy them today, you can buy more than 5!! Again this is what the Manager of the Old Navy store told me.
Today, I went ahead and bought a pair of dark silver & off white color. I think they are little studier and little shiner. They were on an end cap (silver, dark silver, bronze, gold, off white). Not in the boxes. They are still priced $3:50 per or 2/$5.00. $1.00 flip flops for the beach or pool, too good of a deal!
I went last year and had to wait in line just to get in to the store, just to be told they were sold out!!! Sooooo not worth it! Plus, they really do hurt your feel!
I”m going to give it a shot, I haven’t managed to snag any good deals much this week and I”ll be able to go early and leave the kids at home.
I got mine this morning and it wasn’t bad where we went — they didn’t have a lot of colors to choose from, but $1.00 flip-flops….how can you complain? I got 15 pairs — just had to get back in line twice, but it wasn’t a long line at all — was in and out within 15 minutes. Have a great summer, everyone! 🙂
Got mine- it was FUN. I love a bargain and everyone getting excited. It was like black friday with everyone waiting at the doors at 6:30am. 🙂
