What a great idea! I voted for KMart. I do have to say that I’ve seen some improvement over the past year, but I still feel they do the poorest job of educating employees regarding how to use coupons.

    • Julie

KMart complaint for me. I hate that you can’t use a coupon on a 50% off item. NO FAIR! All the other stores, no problems anywhere.

  2. lori

WALGREENS … BY FAR! No consistency between stores!

  3. Carla

You know, another sad reality is that I’m sure alot of cashiers/managers profile you. My 26 year old sister who is tall, pretty, and modelesque NEVER has any issues with coupons. For this reason i try to make it a point to do my coupon shopping after work or on my lunch break (when I’m well dressed and make-up’ed) as oppossed to a sunday morning with my hair pulled back and a sweatpants on 🙂 Sad reality, but that is life.

  4. Julie

Target is the most un-couponfriendly retailer, imo. The disallowance of trial size products for coupons that state “any” is a pain!

  5. peggy

I couldn’t decide between Walmart and Walgreens because my Walmart dont accept internet coupons anymore and Walgreens staff are so nasty to couponers.

    • Hilary

It is in Walmarts corporate coupon policy that they accept internet printable coupons with bar code. Print the policy and carry it with you, ask to speak to the manager on duty. I had the same problem at my local Walmart.

    • Carol K

Same thing always happens to me with internet coupons unless I go to a specific cashier. When I walk in I make sure she is there. Yesterday I took a chance on someone I didn’t know and the manager was called and he accused me of having “photocopied, fraudulent coupons”
I am again boycotting them. I hate to fight my way out of the store every visit! The managers all agreed not to take my coupons when I attempted to stand up for my coupon use. They all had different reasons though. It’s like they want to lose customers. I’m done again!

      • Cassidy

I, for once, didn’t have any problems at walmart with my coupons yesterday, until I got home and realized that the cashier didn’t even take my B1G1 coupons for my nabisco 100 calorie packs! She didn’t say one word, or give them back, just plain didn’t scan them!! That would have been like $5 off my bill!! Ugh!

    • Heather

I definately voted for Wal-Mart!! I don’t even attempt to use internet coupons at Wal-Mart anymore!! They act like they don’t take them and have to call managers up and everything else, so I just take my internet coupons elsewhere.

  6. Nicole

The Target by me wouldn’t allow me to use the $5 off 2 Benadryl products when purchasing two Benadryl Itch Sticks. I was told it had to be allergy medicine only since the other family of products listed were allergy medicines. I asked the cashier why, since the coupon clearly states ANY two products from the Benadryl line and she just simply said “I can’t do it”.

    • Nicole

Oh…and Walmart took the coupon for the Itch Sticks without so much as batting an eyelash!

      • Jen Fluharty

I was just at Target today, and had no problems with them taking them…So frustrating to see other stories like this, though, and know it is just a matter of time before it happens to me, too.

  7. Tricia

I would love it if Wal-Mart employees stopped treating my coupons as if they come out of their paycheck! I’ve had them try to deny price-matching “because that deal is too good.” A CSM can usually clear it up – and I’ve never had a deal or a coupon refused in the end – but I have to figure an extra 20 minutes or so in the checkout line, a lot of frustration for me, and homicidal impulses from the shoppers behind me. Consequently, I don’t go to Wally World unless I absolutely have to. Earlier this week I had a lot of good Q’s about to expire, so rather than wait on a sale, I went. My checker made me completely unpack my bags to prove to him I had every item his freaking ticket already said I had – and Wal-Mart’s computers beep if you try to use a coupon that doesn’t match up. I would have complained, but he had already made me so late I didn’t have time to.

  8. Janae

    WALMART is horrible………….

  9. Jennifer Forrest

I do not like shopping at WalMart, simply because of their selection – and I don’t have a Super Walmart by me. Sometimes I have to go there to get an additional All You 🙂 but that’s about it. I, too, have been treated like a criminal there so I have chosen not to do much shopping there.

Target got my vote, not because the cashiers are rude or unfriendly (like Walmart) but because they are so woefully un-trained in couponing! Twice I’ve had to tell a cashier that yes, you can adjust the amount of the coupon down. The cashier just stood there, dumbfounded, staring at her keyboard not knowing what to do. They mean well, which is more than I can say for Walmart, but they need some more training.

I’ve called Target corporate before and they have been wonderful. One customer service person said she had gotten a LOT of calls that day about that very issue and was going to suggest organizing a cashier training just for coupons.

I love my Walgreens. Have never had a issue. Ever. (and now that I’ve said that…)

The Rite Aid by me is disorganized, dirty, and employs people who couldn’t find their…ahem…butt with both hands and a map. They might have a great policy, but it’s too frustrating to go there!

Great idea to send a letter, Collin! Are you going to share your letter with us – and the response (if any)? Hope you get results! 🙂

    • Sam

I haven’t had problems with the Super Walmart near me, but there are some nice cashiers that I frequent when I’m in there. If I don’t see any of them….well, I do start to sweat a little. I have only had one time when a young cashier told me I had to buy 10 bags of carrots in order to price match a 10 for $10 deal from another store. I told her she was insane! Who would buy 10 bags of carrots? And then I told her “Trust me, honey, I been shopping a lot long than you are old.” I’m sure that didn’t help. I still shop there.

Now, Target, on the other hand!!!! Every time I go in the cashier says “I can’t change the price of the coupon.” and we have to get a manager involved. Or even better yet, they tell me that only customer service can adjust prices such as the coupon price or EVEN price matching. So with every price match item, I have to visit Customer Service!!!
What’s up with that???? Why have the policy if the cashiers can’t do it? It just means that we ALL get to check out at CS instead of the registers. It’s getting to the point that I don’t even check out at the registers because they always send me to the front.

Ok, I think I’ve had my spill. :o)

      • Sam

Oops…sorry… that little smiley face was suppose to look like a smile! 🙂

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

its a tough one walgrens in a way because its never a constant but walmart is the worse by far they told my friend yesterday that they are only taking internet coupons from theyre site wth so another reason among many that walmart sucks

  11. Jenna

I chose Walgreens. They NEED an official corporate coupon policy in my opinion. That would make things a lot less confusing. Also, I HATE the fact that you can only have as many coupons as the number of items you purchase. Most of the staff don’t know anything about coupons in my area. Once when I was still new to couponing I went in and had more coupons than items (I didn’t realize at the time). The cashier handed me back my coupons and told me, “you’ve already saved too much, it won’t take any more.” I was like, are you kidding me?!?! I knew I was using the correct coupons and didn’t understand at all until later when I remembered the 1 coupon per item rule. I just needed some fillers and it would’ve been fine. I’ve had numerous cashiers from there tell me other ridiculous things that aren’t true about coupons. I HATE Walgreens. I try to avoid it.

It’s kind of hard to be objective though, because as I’ve been reading the comments, everyone’s experience at each store is different. It REALLY depends on the staff of the store. So many people people hate Target, but they’re almost always great where I am with coupons and taking them all the time. Most of the time, my cashiers don’t even adjust the coupon down if it was a $1 coupon on a .99 item.

Same with Rite Aid. They are by far THE BEST in my area for taking all of my coupons ALL the time, no problems whatsoever!!! Same with CVS, no problems, great cashiers, love it!

    • Shauna M

My vote was for Walgreens as well. I have three within a few miles of my house and they are all inconsistent. They do need some clarification on the coupon policy system-wide. I also have a problem if my coupon is for $1 off and the item is 99cents. They refuse to adjust the price by one cent instead they tell me I can’t use it…

    • Mardi

I also HATE that you can only have as many coupons as the number of items you purchase. It makes no sense!

  12. Christina

I don’t understand the problem people have with Walgreens. Sure, you have to know how to COUNT, but if you just count up how many coupons and make sure to have that many items, it’s easy as pie. I LOVE Walgreens. My Wal-Mart on the other hand, is filled with filthy, rude, and disgusting people. I’d go without before I’d shop there!

  13. Christina

I had a funny (good) experience at Walgreens. I was buying a bunch of items, all with RR’s that were owed back to me. I must have gotten about 10 RR’s that printed out. The young girl cashier was like “wow, the machine must really like you!!!” It was funny, but at the same time proves that most of the cashiers (even the nice ones!!!) have no idea what’s going on w/ their coupon policy/Register Rewards program.

  14. Linda C.

Walmart is a big fat NO for coupons. I always get hassled there and lied to. I have to call corporate to get an honest answer when it comes to using coupons. The only time I ever have any luck is when I go through a line that has a young guy cashier (just like Collin says) only there aren’t always guys on the line.

    • Rachel

my husband works at wal-mart, he told me to check out in electronics or sporting goods. They aren’t at a register all day, and they have other stuff to do. So they are usually not as harsh. Besides, it takes so long to get a csm to respond back there, a lot of the time they will just take your word to get back to what they were doing

  15. Abby

I voted for Walmart because I had a problem with using a B1G1 free and a $2 off coupon on the item I wasn’t getting for free. I didn’t buy the items; the cashier had an attitude and 1/2 along with the manager; and I called corporate and they told me their B1G1 policy and it does not specify clearly if you are allowed to use one along with a b1g1 coupon. Very annoying. Good luck trying to rewrite that in a nice way if Walmart wins! 🙂

  16. Vicki Almany

Walgreens by far is the worst for couponers. They do not have a coupon policy so each store makes there own rules. They need to learn what BOGO means and how to use aBOGO coupon with a BYGO store special. I also hate that you have to have enough items for each coupon, including there Walgreen’s money) you are using and that there Walgreen’s money is a mfg. coupon. I like CVS’ extra bucks.

    • Yvonne

I agree with you about the BOGO offers with a BOGO coupon. My store does not allow it. Also their RRs expire in two weeks and there are not always great sales every week. You really have to remember to keep track so you don’t loose them since they don’t roll.

    • Amy

Yes walgreens bucks are not as good as CVS. I had a coupon for every item I purchased and then tried to use my 50 cent walgreen bucks and was told that I wasnt allowed!! If I bought the items to get the bucks then I should be able to use the bucks whenever I choose!!

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Walmart.. as it seems to have a “internet coupon discrimination” issue..

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Tell them that when we come to their store it is helping the store not hurting! WalMart acts like your putting them out of business because of coupons and it is the opposite!

  19. Cinnamon H.

Walgreens is not great. I had problems with a cashier acting incredibly rude when I was using coupons. I wrote an e-mail complaint and the assistant manager called me back. She listened to my problem, apologized and said that she would be training her employees and that I would never receive bad service again. For that reason, Target is now the worst. I have a problem every time I try to use coupons. The cashiers have not been the friendliest and it seems that each cashier can make up their own coupon policy. It has just become too frustrating to shop there anymore.

  20. Marissa

I guess I’m lucky that I haven’t had a lot of coupon issues. I picked Walgreens just because their RR system is so inferior to CVS’s EBs. It would be so nice if they would step it up a little and allow the RRs to be used as cash the way CVS does,

    • Tara

This is exactly how I feel. I have never been treated poorly at any store. I know how to count & I know the rules for Walgreens, but I feel kind of ripped off having to buy a 35c piece of candy to use a 50c off coupon.

  21. Amy

Target! I have had so many coupon issues I try not to shop there anymore.

  22. beca

I voted for Walreens just because they seem to have such a great policy, yet it varies from store to store- nothing is actually ‘policy’ I was told by my local general manager. For example, when trying to use a coupon that is worth more than the cost of the item, my local store would not let me use it at all. This seems to vary from store to store. I am just asking for improvement in uniformity so I know what to expect.

  23. Maria G

I voted for Walmart. Every time I go I feel I am treated like a criminal. They hold up every internet coupon into the light to look for the watermark. If they can’t clearly see one they will accuse me of copying the coupon and won’t accept it. They don’t even know that the smart source internet coupons don’t have watermarks, so I don’t even try to use those there. The last time i went a number of customers behind me left for a different register because the amount of time the cashier was taking to examine each and every coupon. I just try to avoid going there, but sometimes you have to in order to get the deals you want.

  24. Megan

I’ve only had problems with Target so far. My Target doesn’t follow their stated website policy. It’s very frustrating.

  25. Shelly G.

I have had so many numerous problems with Target not accepting coupons for trial sizes and not adjusting down coupons that I dont even bother with them anymore… When I see some awesomes sales there I usually just pass because it isnt worth the hassle

  26. Melissa Mac

Target has a great coupon policy, but I usually get such grief from the cashier and/or manager that it doesn’t seem to matter. I’m very careful about following the rules on the coupon and I know their corporate policy. However almost every time I go the cashier makes me feel like I’m cheating them. A few times when something has been a problem the managers have been rude and not willing to converse. I used to like going to Target, but now I almost dread it.

    • kim

I have the same problem with my Target in Wisconsin. I have tried to do the Buy one item, get a different item free, and then use a $2 off coupon on the item I’m paying for, and they’ve refused me on several occasions, accusing me of cheating the system. It’s frustrating!

      • Amy

ive just had problems using any of the internet printable coupons that were b1g1 on the scrubbing bubble products – much less use the $ off coupon… 🙁 thats why i have given up.

  27. Becky

I voted K-Mart – I’m protesting and not shopping there right now. I never have any problems at Wal-Mart or CVS – my 2 favorite places to shop. I usually try and go to one of the “seasoned” cashiers at Wal-Mart, that is probably why don’t have any problems.

  28. Barbie

I chose Wal-Mart because I’ve had problems with coupons at several different Wal-Mart stores in our area (we have 5 within fairly easy driving distance). The biggest complaint I have, though, is that when I contacted corporate, I was informed that the manager on duty has the right to refuse any coupon they want. I don’t want to shop anywhere where the policy is so wide open to interpretation. I appreciate a consistent coupon policy, even if the policy isn’t perfectly suited to me. (For example, Target’s policy states that the coupon can be adjusted down in value to match the price of the item. I want to keep that $.03 or whatever instead of giving it to Target, but since it’s clear in the policy, I don’t have a huge problem with it.) Wal-Mart’s policy seems to be willy-nilly-hope-you-don’t-catch-me-in-a-bad-mood.

  29. Carolyn

I’ve had more issues with Target than any other store. Was in a Target, not my usual one – my bad, and the cashier had trouble putting through a coupon for $x/2 and I was purchasing 2. She said I could use the coupon for 1 product but not the other. I asked her to explain why she wasn’t following the coupon directions since it clearly said for 2 items. She said then you would get both for free. I’m like yes, that’s correct. She said what’s the problem, you are getting one for free. I asked for the Manager and he backed her up told me that Manufacturers and the people who put out coupons don’t know what they are doing. This shouldn’t be allowed. Ok I left then, there was no way I would ever win against someone who would make a comment like that. I was flabbergasted. I’ve never been back to that store. BTW, my niece was two rows over with the exact same items I had and hers went through.

  30. Anna

    Walmart!

They have a written out corporate policy, but seems the stores are making up their own rules. If they are allowed it should be written that way. For example, They are wasting a lot of everyone’s time if they don’t take internet coupons. The consumer spent time picking up the item, the cashier spent time scanning the item, removing the item, and the restocker spent time putting it back, not to mention any discussions in between. I don’t believe anyone should have to pick out a specific cashier, I think everyone should be just as knowledgable.

    Collin,
I know you said you weren’t making as many videos, but maybe you could do a Dear Retailer video and explain the history of the coupon, it’s purpose, how it benefits the retailer, consumer, and the manufacturer. I think sending the poll will make a great impact, but being able to explain to them may actually help make a change. Also, don’t forget to mention how many readers you have. Because if nothing happens, we will all know!

P.S. – I also think Target needs to find a better way of updating their computer system to recognize coupons. That’s my second choice. Everything I buy comes up not found.

  31. Carolyn A.

Target is the worst. They give me such a hard time about my coupons. The cashier freaks out and calls the manager. The manager then makes up his own rules saying they can only take the coupon for 1 item and not the second. I have talked to corp several times and nothing has been done at my Target. The managers and cashiers still don’t know their coupon policy (even though I bring it). Corp says they will talk to them but why am I still having a problem after over a year of all this going on?

  32. Debbie

Walmart – They refuse to take my coupons that have the Target symbol on them even though they are “manufacturer” coupons. I’m carrying Walmart’s corporate coupon policy with me now but didn’t have time to fight it out the last time I was there.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I Feel Walmart is the worst! There is no consistency. I went to the Walmart Neighborhood Market the other day and bought some Juicy Juice with an internet coupon and the cashier had to go ask the Customer Service Manager at the front desk. It was just one coupon that I had. The CSM said it was alright, but I thought it was so ridiculous that she had to ask. Another cashier wouldn’t have any problem taking it. It just seems like every other cashier at Walmart makes up their own rules regarding coupons!

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I voted for Walgreens. Every single store has a different policy regarding coupons. No consistency! I often have to ask for a manager to explain the coupon to them in order to get the deal. I have like 5 Walgreens within a 5 mile radius of my house and have difficulty at all of them.

  35. Maggie

Walgreens’ coupon policy is inferior to its competitors (and needs improvement just to be on par with its competitors). It is inferior to CVS and Rite Aid in the following ways:

    1. The RRs expire too quickly (CVS gives us 30 days; WAG only gives us 2 weeks). RA gives us cash that doesn’t “expire,” in the form of a check.

    2. It’s too difficult to use WAG’s RRs compared to CVS’s ECBs. In fact, the hassles associated with RRs are the biggest obstacle to shopping at WAG for me. For example:

    a. The WAG registers are programmed to treat RRs as mfr coupons (so the RRs can’t be used in small transactions in which you are also buying items with mfr coupons, unless you buy filler items so that the number of items exceeds both the number of mfr coupons and RRs being used). If the RRs are “like cash” they should be accepted like cash and not require me to purchase filler items, which diminish the actual value of the RR.

    b. WAG RR policy also forces customers who are lured there by the advertised RR deals to keep track which MANUFACTURER generated the RRs the customer plans to “spend” (not just what ITEMS generated the RRs on previous shopping trips). For example, if I buy a cold medicine from Proctor & Gamble in Week 1 that generated a RR due to a “buy 2 of these cold medicines get a $3 RR” promotion, I can’t use that RR for a totally different promotion two weeks later on a P&G beauty product (“buy this make-up get a $2 RR”) as they are the same manufacturer. The RR won’t be printed for the second, different RR promotion if I use a RR for an older promotion involving the same manufacturer. CVS doesn’t impose such complications — I can use my ECBs to buy other items that generate ECBs without any restrictions, other than the per-deal restrictions that are tracked by my card and are totally transparent in the advertising.

    c. WAG’s RR restrictions are “hidden,” and not transparent in either the promotional advertising or on the text of the RR itself. Unless you read blogs like this one and others, you won’t know what they are (re the need for filler items, manufacturer restrictions, etc.)

    d. It is not acceptable to require customers to contact the Catalina company that handles the RRs when the RRs fail to print. Managers in every store should be empowered to make the situation right then and there. That’s how CVS handles it.

    3. WAG is the only major chain in my area that will not adjust-down a mfr Q that exceeds the value of the item. For example, if I want to buy a package of soap that is 0.99, and I have a $1 mfr coupon, I cannot use my mfr. coupon. Every store in my area, and every store manager, refuses to take the coupon because it exceeds the item price and they have been “forbidden” to adjust the value of coupons down. CVS, Target, Rite Aid, Ralphs (Kroger), and Vons (Safeway) in my area ALL will accept the coupon and adjust it down to 0.99, so that it doesn’t exceed the price of the item. WAG stores are the only ones that won’t do that.

    • Mardi

      Well put!

    • Debbie

Ditto everything Maggie said for me, too! I don’t even care if Walgreens has an RR on a product. It is not an incentive enough anymore to go get it. Now, CVS is a different story and I will buy their products that have an ECB print because I know CVS will take them without giving me a hassle. Walgreens always gives me too many hassles!!!!

    • Swan

Oh, why is Walgreens even still in business??? With the terribly difficult Register Rewards system, the poorly (if at all) trained staff, and the higher-than-almost-anywhere-else everyday prices, why would anyone shop there? As for this whole act of treating couponers like criminals… Well, now there really are no more reasons to set foot into a Walgreens. Thanks Walgreens for making me truly appreciate CVS and Rite Aid stores so much more!

  36. Jenn

I refuse to shop at WalMart! They are always very rude and fight me on every coupon! I have had to call their corporate while standing at the register for them to explain to the store manager that what I’m doing does fall within their coupon policy guidelines! I may have gotten my way that day, but I did not leave the store with my usual coupon high!

  37. Dwagnfly

I’ve had Walmart refuse to take Manufacturer’s coupons that said Food city on them but did not say ‘ONLY’ at Food city, it just had the logo, even though it scanned properly.
Also, had a problem with the Benedryl $5/2, it deducted $5 but then added it back in. So, it didn’t deduct anything. I told the cashier that there must be something wrong when I saw the total. She just said, no the $5 came off. She couldn’t see that it went back on. I had to ask for a manager to get it resolved. It’s really basic math, she didn’t know how to read the receipt.

I’ve also had a cashier try to tell me that the coupon states ‘limit one coupon per purchase’. They think that means per transaction. Most all coupons say ‘limit one coupon per purchase’.
I would love to see all the stores receive all comments about their stores. I hope that they would have their customer relations people reading blogs out there and getting info.

If there’s a store that doesn’t get any or many votes, a positive letter should be sent too. It would be good to praise a retailer for educating their employees.

  38. Donna

Walmart is so bad I don’t bother shopping there at all anymore. They refuse manufactures coupons even though I’ve brought out copies of their coupon policy and when I’ve called corporate and given my phone number etc, I have NEVER received a call back. I say that is a big message to me to SHOP ELSEWHERE and that is what I do. They are not a coupon friendly retailer – – Massapequa NY store is the worst and it has the worst smell too right by the entire food section, my daughter used to say eeeeww it smells like poop here.

  39. Dana

The dollar store would not take my printable Welch’s coupon. Said they don’t take the ones printed from the computer 🙁

  40. Dana

Also,at Target, for some reason one of my coupons from coupons.com wouldnt go through even though she typed it in. She said it was a reprint. Uh NO. I didnt argue though. The LOD said if it didnt scan, they couldnt take it. It was a LEGIT coupon.

  41. Amy

Thankfully, I have been able to avoid stores that people commonly complain about. But, I would love it if Target changed their policy about adjusting coupons down. It would be so much easier for everyone (cashiers and couponers) if they allowed overage. I love the travel freebies, but it takes SO LONG to check out. Plus, if they are getting the full value of the coupon from the manufacturer regardless of the product’s price, I feel a little jipped. Thank you for doing this, it’s a brilliant idea and I’m more convinced than ever to just skip WalMart and Walgreens and enjoy all my other great savings everywhere else!

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

One walmart I shop at is just not consistant. I can go one week and they take all coupons…the next week they have to ask the csm if they can take internet coupons (and the answer is yes if they scan)…the next week they hand them back to me and say they don’t take internet coupons……today took them no questions asked…next week…your guess is as good as mine……

  43. Renee

Walmart seems to frown on using coupons usage on travel sizes. I had so much problems there. I just boycott Walmart.

As far as Walgreens, I love them, but they do need an standard official coupon policy. I hate that it varies from store to store.

  44. Amy

I used to spend SO much money at WalMart…mainly because we used to get all of our gas and groceries there but that has all changed since I’ve started using coupons. I NEVER want to go there anymore because just across the block is a Target where they are VERY coupon-friendly. Even if Target can be a few cents more, I will pay those couple of pennies for their great customer service! I thankfully have a GREAT Target in my town. WalMart has NEVER been coupon-friendly and a couple of times I’ve called the corporate number because they left me so frustrated. The worst time was when they said I couldn’t use two alike coupons for two alike products because it says one coupon per purchase. 2 coupons + 2 products = 2 purchases but they couldn’t figure that out until it went all the way to the top manager, after 2 cashiers and 2 asst. managers told me wrong. The cashier had to ring up two separate orders because of this and the customers behind me were so upset. It was after that experience and two more where the cashiers were so mean and nasty about me using coupons that I vowed to stop shopping there. I will just take the $200 in gas (we commute) and the $400 in groceries and household goods and take my money elsewhere! This all happened last fall and it still just makes me upset…it was that frustrating! UGH!

    • Amy

I forgot to say that the $200 + $400 was monthly so calculate that out (sorry I’m an accountant-LOL) and that would be about $4500.00 they haven’t received from us! Also I have a few friends that I have pursuaded on over to Target and they love how much they are saving using Target Q’s + Manufacturers Q’s. 😉

  45. April

I’ve had difficulty using coupons in different stores on occasion, but Target is the store that, imo, is consistently inconsistent. They need some help!!

I voted for Walmart. Their cashiers are not trained on coupon policies and it’s always a huge hassel to use coupons and always ends up taking a lot of time. It’s too bad because I always find so many things to use coupons for at Walmart, but honestly it’s just not worth the trouble I have to go through to use the coupons. So I don’t shop at Walmart.

While I don’t like that you cannot use more coupons than you have items at walgreens, I feel that the cashiers at my walgreens are pretty well educated about coupons. As a matter of fact they hang coupons all over the store next to items that are on sale so you can just pull a coupon of the stapled stack and use it on a item and save your coupon!
Rite Aid is a whole different story. Often my rite aid doesn’t even carry the size of an item for a video value coupon and I can’t use my video value coupon at my rite aid. I’ve seen cashiers turn away a bogo coupon when an item is on sale bogo. They are constantly sold out of things so that when I go in with a plan I walk out empty handed. And the rebates to me are more of a pain than they are worth. Just give me the better price up front or else I’ll wait and get it at CVS or WAGS next week when they’re sure to have the same deal

Not fair… kmart and walmart are aweful at coupons. They argue all the time on what I can and can’t use.
