This may sound crazy, but I never take time to really clean the house and no child should have to inhale fresh cleaning products into their tiny body. I will make sure to be home alone and follow through with a thorough cleaning. I do not enjoy the cleaning part, but afterward I feel completely refreshed looking around a house I feel comfortable in. The mess makes me stress!

Now, I totally admit to being jealous of this awesome prize. but, I have a VERY hard time believing that this was a random win. I read whole bunch of these post as not to copy any one else’s. And, i don’t recall seeing many about “cleaning.” It was just a little too convenient that the winning post was about “cleaning” when the prize was a cleaning service. Colin can, of course, choose any winner she wants, and I realize this. But, really?!? random?!? …Just sayin’ 🙂

Maybe the prize was based off of what the winner said. Maybe is the random winner was a day off to pamper ones self then she would have picked a spa or something. It was a Mystery Prize.
she picked a maid because she spoke of cleaning, the prize would have been different based on the answer. There are hundreds off people who posted, and I am sure you did not read every comment. If you think it is fixed stop entering and stop accusing Collin of picking – she does so much to help us all!!
Misty, I never said it was rigged. If the prize was based on the winning answer that’s fine. I also said that Colin could choose the winner if she wanted to..because it’s her site to do that with. I was just pointing out that it was a strange coincidence was all. and, I never claimed to read EVERY comment.

Just wanted to make everyone aware that the winner was picked at random. Once the winner was chosen, I read her comment in order to determine what the “mystery prize” would be. In other words, I was planning to choose the prize based on the winner’s comment about what he/she wanted to do for themselves this week. In Carol’s case, she mentioned cleaning her house so I thought it only appropriate to arrange a house cleaning service. Thanks to all who entered!

Congrats! That’s awesome to get help with your home and get a break! But, cleaning your home doesn’t require harmful chemicals. Why would you use them if they were harmful for tiny bodies anyway? Natural products clean just as well if not better – and they don’t harm the environment/eco-system. I hope that the cleaning service used is ‘green’. I love my green cleaning company! And, they are cheaper than the conventional (read: toxic) cleaning companies.
well said and i think not CLEANING/disinfecting/sanitizing your home is way more harmful than not. i get the heebie jeebies just thinking about a dirty house.

second to everyone using harsh cleaners-you dont even need those chemicals!! i won the steam cleaner, and have been using it like crazy and it only uses fresh water- 0 chemicals- and my house smells fresh and clean with no worries of toxic fumes or anything! the great thing is, i dont even have to use natural cleaners either, just fresh water-the steam kills any germs and leaves no smell at all which is the best smell of all.
