WOW! Thats alot of coffee creamer. Good job with the savings on everything tho.

    • Allison

I drink too much coffee … LOL!

  2. Melanie

    Very impressive!

  3. Kari

ooo…I have one to submit….I spent $0.23 at Publix for $120 of groceries…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Man!!!! How do you do it???? .23 on $120.00 worth of groceries??? that is awesome. I never ever do that good. My good is maybe paying $50 or $60 on a $120.00 worth of groceries and that was on a double coupon day to.

      • Sarah

I feel ya. I’m in the same boat as far as my savings goes.

        • Pamela

I agree…good job saving money but what about fresh fruits and veggies? I don’t have coupons for those and I do try to buy those items in season and on sale…still I have to pay something for them. Wouldn’t it be great to have coupons for fresh bananas, berries, veggies making them almost free!

          • Robin

Personally, when I can, I use OYNO catalina’s to go towards fresh fruits, vegetables, milk and meat. Every litte bit helps!

        • Mary Beth

Me too. I’d love to know what those competitors’ coupons those were that were taken off at the end . . . especially the one for $5. Even when I drive 40 minutes to get to a double coupon store, there are just too many things that are staples that don’t have coupons. But that’s an amazing good job!

          • Allison

I use what ever I get in the mail…usually Winn Dixie coupons $5.00 off $25 or $5.00 off $50, there is also another newer grocery store in my area that send out $5.00 off of $50. I use what ever I get…I am in FL my store does not double 🙁

          • anu1c

Where is FL are you? I am in Miami, and I still can’t get my groceries down to that much with buying fresh produce. And I never get any WD coupons to use at Publix. Any suggestions?

          • anu1c

sorry, I meant where in florida?

          • Allison

Fort Lauderdale area. If you have a Winn DIxie …sign up for the rewards program. They should mail out coupons to you. I have been getting them a lot lately!!! I love it 🙂

          • Kim T

I live in Holiday Fla. and shop at WinnDixie , and I am involved in the rewards program and never recieve coupons in the mail. I believe we get cheaped, noone doubles coupons!

          • anu1c

FL??!!! So close, we need to hook up and go shopping together 🙂
I will look into the WD mail outs. Thanks for the suggestion.

      • Gabriella

I am with Ruby and my scenarios mirror hers. I don’t know if I will ever become this good. I doff my cap to you all, you ‘Mistresses of Couponing’. May I one day dare to aspire to such lofty heights!?

  4. tina

Good for you!! My question is, for those who always get tons of the same item as in the pic above, are you buying multiple papers on Sunday and using coupons that way? Or are you getting them online? I’ve been couponing for over a year, and get great deals, but never have enough for 12 pks of hot dogs for example. And does your store double coupons? Details please!

    • MichelleA

It REALLY helps having multiple computers, Tina. A lot of my deals (and Im sure alot of other ppl’s too) come from internet coupons and I have 3 comps at home, and 3 comps at work. That gives me 12 coupons total if its something I really want/need. 🙂 Or you can order coupons from coupon clipping websites (or ebay) for pennies on the dollar too, which helps alot as well! HTH!

    • Robin

Hey! There are ton of great resources to get coupons. You can join different websites such as couponmom, hotcouponworld, or afullcup .com and join a trading group. You can buy on Ebay, or from a clipper. Way cheap, or you get do what you said and buy multiple papers. In my area Dollar Stores sell the Sunday paper for a dollar, or you ask your friends, family and neighbors if they are using their inserts. You can also use RR or ECBS to buy papers. I am fortunate enough to have a coupon man that gives me multiple copies of inserts every week. Only catch is that I have to wait all week to get Sunday’s coupons. Like today, I just picked up 4 copies of 5/23 SS and 4 copies of 5/17 SS. Hope you are able to get the hang of it!

      Hope that helps.

      • Robin

Oh and yes it does help to have great stores like Publix and in my case Meijer who have great coupon rules!

My Meijer doubles up 50 cent coupons and also .55-99 cent coupons are brought up to a dollar! Up to 4 indentical coupons.

        • Samantha D

Jusr remember Publix’s have different coupon policies. My publix (and i live near 3) only take their coupons, Windixie q’s and Man q’s. If they took target coupons and i save so much more.

      • Donna

Where do you find a good trading group?

        • Robin

Couponmom.com has a good one in my opinion. You have to register and and its under Coupon Trading in the forum. Its a lot less complicated then some of the others that I have seen.

    • Allison

I have great family members/neighbors that give me the inserts. I only pay for the Sunday newpaper. I try to give my friends an incentive …by saving coupons for me …I give them little gift, which seems to work 🙂

  5. mamabear

    ugh…(disgusted) I wish i had a publix!!!!!

but wow, that is some super savings! wtg!!

  6. Kari

Tina…I also got a bunch of the hot dogs and I used the $1/2 MQ on Coupons.com as well as the Target B3G1 coupon….
I don’t remember the exact price, but I will use iheartpublix’s price as an example: BOGO $3.99
I am in Florida which is true BOGO
    Buy 4 packs = $7.98
    Use 2 $1/2 = $-2.00
    Use B3G1 TQ = $-3.99
    Total: $1.99 ($0.50/each)

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    wow!good for you!

  8. Emily

Just another reason why I wish we had Publix on the west coast! Good job!

  9. Elizabeth

Tina, I do not have a newspaper subscription at all and I got lots of the same things that the poster bought. I have found that with Publix, the best deals are when you can match a BOGO sale w/ a Target B3G1 coupon and stack a few manufacturer’s Q’s.

  10. Kelly

Publix has GREAT deals this week! Yesterday I spent $0.27 on over $500 worth of groceries! And I got a $30 giftcard AND I can submit for the Kraft rebate. I’m going back today and I’ll post my totals later!

    • Robin

      Dies……

    • Sabine

Yes, please come back and give us more details!

    • mamabear

      WHAT!

    • Kari

      Awesome!!!!!!!!

    • Carmel

Wow!! I need to move closer to a Publix 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      help! i’m dying.. 🙂

    • Sharon T.

Do you not have to pay tax on your subtotal? Or do you have so much overage that it covers that? Wheeeeeeerree is my Publix!?! 🙁

  11. Elizabeth

I have a question. Does anyone know if the pints of International delight are every on sale for BOGO at Publix? I’m trying to save my blinkies just in case, but I wasn’t sure if this was something that ever gets BOGO.

    • Lauren

I think they’ve been BOGO or maybe 2/$3 for the pints. I know I’ve been able to get them for $0.50 cents or less before. I love the white chocolate mocha.

  12. fran

    Wag to go, Allison 🙂

  13. Jackie

Last night I spent $113.39 and saved $178.64. I was happy with that.

  14. Sarah

Wow! That is amazing. I wish I had a Publix near me 🙁

  15. Becca

Thats so awesome! I love seeing others success… I really need to start taking pictures. Last night I got 7 bottles of Sweet baby Rays, 14 bags of Jay’s potato chips, 7 bags of synder’s pretzels, 12 weber’s grilling spices (not the marinades), 4 van de camp beans, and 15 pkgs of bare solo cups for $15 at our local grocery store. It was perfect timing because we are having a BBQ this weekend and the chips and stuff are perfect to take to other people’s houses!

  16. FIFSTER

I SO wish we had Publix!!! Tell them to come to the NW!!!!

  17. Johanna

How did you get the razors so cheap? The lowest I ever see them on sale in NC is 3.99 a pack.

    • Allison

      There are $5.49 BOGO this week a publix. I used 2 – $3.00 off ,…..which gave me overage 🙂

      • Johanna

Man, I wish we had a Publix in Charlotte!!! I am glad for you all though. =)

  18. Lindsay

    You are my idol!

  19. Rachel

    Wow! You are good!

  20. Olivia Smith

    AWESOME! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  21. Elizabeth

The razors were $5.89, (I think) w/ a BOGO sale going on. There were $3/1 Q’s a few weeks ago in the paper, so using 4 Q’s along w/ the BOGO sale, they were free plus overage!!!

  22. Kelly T

Where in the world do you live they only charged you $2 in tax? Where I am at they charge you tax on the total BEFORE discounts, so I would have paid tax on the $200 as well, which would have been an additional $18!!!!

    • Rochelle

Here in Michigan the tax is 6% but not on food products so $2 would be about right for the tax on the Qtips and razors. We do pay tax on the pre-coupon price. Food items are not taxed 🙂

    • Sarah

No tax on food or medical in FL. She only paid tax on razors and Q-tips.

    • Barbie

      Kelly, me too!

      Food tax here is 8.25%!

      • Op

Me too, 9% tax on everything including food!

        • calipenn

Where do you live where you are taxed 9% on groceries? Is that even legal?

  23. Amy

    *WHINE* I want a Publix!!! 🙁 That’s an awesome deal!!! 🙂

  24. Brianne

Man, I must say I am a little jealous! I never get THAT good of a deal! NO stores in my area ever double q’s and I have to drive 40 mins to go to any store besides Aldi (no coupons!) our local grocery and WalMart. 🙁

    • Angie

Aldi’s has good deals though, I wish we had an Aldi in NM.

  25. Julie

That is awesome! I did great at Publix too this week. I saved $81.00 spent $37.00 and submitted for my $10.00 Kraft rebate! I love Publix!

    • Julie

I bought the OM Angus because I could use $1.00/1 Publix coupon $1/2 Manf and B3G1 Target coupon so I bought 4 packs for $1.50. My Publix doubles coupons so the .50/1 Helluva good dip was FREE!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

LOVE having a Publix I spent $0.37 on $93 worth of groceries, love it 🙂

  27. Michele

    Wow, Allison way to go!
Also, if you buy any combination of 14.5 oz or 16 oz Jumbo David Sunflower Seeds totaling 20 bags you can get $20 David Dollars to spend towards sporting goods in store (only) at Walmart.
    see here – https://www.daviddollars.com/
hmmm might have to pick up some empty bags at the ball game!

    • Allison

Wow …thanks! That sounds awesome 🙂

  28. danielle

awesome job!!!..I love publix..i paid $6 and saved $42 last night..so excited over that.

  29. Luckygirl

WOW!! You did amazing, wish I had a Pubix here! Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

WOW! Great job! I wish we had a Publix around here 🙁

  31. sue

WOW!!! We are moving from WI to FL in a few months and I am jumping up and down because there is a publix right down the street! I cant wait to start shopping there!!! Allison you really rocked it! and Ive gotta say, Im envying your coffee creamer stash!:)

    • Allison

Publix is awesome …you will love it!!!!

  32. Ruth S.

I really wish there were stores in California that would double coupons! Good job! This kind of savings never ceases to amaze me.

  33. Ty

Wish I had a Publix to shop at 🙁

  34. Shevin

Last week when the Ken’s Steakhouse Salad dressing were BOGO. I got about $30 worth which was 12 bottles for FREE!!!! Woohoo!!! I’ve also got 6 Hydro Shaving Razors for FREE!!! Not too mention all kinds of panty liners too!!! I’m keeping the salad dressing for my family, but all the other stuff is in my donate box. YAY!! I love Publix, but man I wish we had somewhere that did the double coupons b/c I think I could really clean up then!! This week wasn’t as good b/c I did get things that had no coupon match ups (Cheeze-It’s being one, but my kids love them!). Still, $145 worth & only paying $60 isn’t so bad either. I hope to get as good as many of you on here one day. I’ve been doing this since November 2009, but I love that I’m inspiring so many of my friends & family to start saving that hard earned money too!! Happy Shopping everyone!!

  35. Erinn

    WOW!!!!!!!

  36. Christy Peters

Ok I am with all the other posters here that “I wish we had Publix” in Wisconsin. We are stuck with a corporate chain called Pick N Save in Milwaukee and let me tell say that you are not saving anything!

    • maureen

i totally hear ya there, i live in wisconsin and we have copps and pick n save as our local grocery stores, its so unfortunate that we dont have the larger chains here! I do awesome when it comes to CVS and walgreens- but i suck at copps! I want a publix!!!

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thats ssoo AWESOME!!You go girl!!I wish we had publix too 🙁

  38. kelly

Wow! this is amazing! I just started couponing and this absolutely inspires me to continue to be just as good! any suggestions??

    • Allison

Learn the coupon policies at every store. This will help you get the best priced items, with matching the coupons with the store. Target/Publix and others I am sure have their store coupon, match up with manufactures and you get a great deal. Read what others are doing…and use those coupons. I have been doing this for over a year and I read about others experiences and have motivated me to work hard at saving money! Good luck to you 🙂

  39. Lana

I went to Publix and they would not let me use 2 coupons on BOGO items. Is this the case? I always see it done in scenarios. Do they have an official coupon policy? I am in Tampa, FL, if that helps. My example is last week I bought the Betty Crocker BOGO Brownie mix and had a $1/2 coupon and they said I had to buy four of the items to be able to use that cooupon. Thanks for any help you can give me 🙂

    • Kari

Every Publix has a different coupon policy. And always ask a manager if you are unsure.

  40. Jennifer

Gotta love Publix. I saved $113 today and paid $70 for quite a bit of stuff. They double and take competitors coupons. Love it!

  41. Lisa

I have a question on the Kraft rebate. If I buy the OM hot dogs, B1G1, do I count $3.99 toward the $30 required purchase? Or can I count the free on too? Help!

  42. Stephanie Wulfekuhl

    What is the Kraft rebate??

  43. becky

WOW great job! I am counting down the days until we get a publix just a few more months…yea.

  44. casandra

AMAZING ISNT THE WORD! WTG!! Wish we had a publix here 🙁

  45. Jennifer Koz

I didn’t get the Kraft dealio on Facebook in time and can’t get my hands on a Kraft rebate form anymore. Any suggestions ladies?
    jenniferkoz@comcast.net

  46. Shannon

I just started couponing in January and just get sick when I think about all of the money I have wasted over the years! I, too, love my PUBLIX!!!! I spent $71 this week and saved $173!! Before couponing I always shopped the “roll back” store thinking I was saving my family all sorts of money!ha We now have more food in our house than EVER before and I am paying a fraction of what I used to pay! Gotta love Publix….and CVS!!!

    • mamabear

i am the same way- it makes me sick thinking that all those “roll back” shoppers think they are saving so much money… they need to come over to the “wonderful coupon world” (evil laugh)

  47. Melinda P

This would never happen in California, LOL, they have too many restrictions on everything! Excellent job, Allison! 🙂 I definitely both envy and admire your savings!!

  48. Christy

You guys are awesome!! I need to take lessons from you!! My boyfriend and I are just starting to learn how to use coupons. But we live in an area where there isn’t a Sunday paper and only a Wal-Mart and Food City to shop at…oh and a IGA. But all I can say is wow good job!!! i WOULD LOVE TO DO WHAT YOU DO!!

  49. Lynne

are the fisher snack bags BOGO this week at publix. I have searched thier ad, but can not find them. I have been saving my coupons because we LOVE this. I hope it is an unmarked sale.

    • Rachel

It was an unadvertised sale at my store (in Ft. Myers, FL). They were $2/2, which makes them free if you have the $1 off any Fisher item from one of the Sunday’s papers.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I live in Jacksonville Florida and went to my Publix and saved $241.34 and only spent $16.01 ($6.86 of that was tax) I kept having 2 of the ladies behind me want to see what I was saving and spending.I was jazzed…

      • Lynne

yeah – i am in ft. myers too – can’t wait – i have like 8 coupons for $1 off – so excited

      • Lynne

which store in Ft. Myers — mine in cape coral do not have it – i will gladly go to FT. myers to get these for free
        THANKS

  50. Steve

Me too, 9% tax on everything including food!
