This is a great deal! Unfortunately, we have had nothing but problems with our Didj. I bought one when they first came out and another at Christmas (it was on sale for $20 with a game)to replace the first one hoping it would work better, and both have issues. It constantly says that the system needs a tune-up, and they eat batteries very quickly. I was so disappointed with Leap Frog because I looooooove Leap Frog normally…but somehow…the Didj hasn’t quite made it. My son does adore it when it is working, and the games are fun and educational. Unfortunately, it spends more time waiting for a tune-up then he gets to play with it. We’ll be getting a DS for Christmas…got any good places to find one???

I read on the reviews on Amazon that someone had to buy the recharging station and since then they have had no problems! Might want to try getting that to go along with your Didj 🙂

I think leap frog might be struggling with their newer technology. We bought the tag jr for our daughter for Christmas and it didn’t work, we exchanged them 4 times and had problems with every one, so we gave up. It’s a bummer because I love Leap Frog, but I think they need some tweeking with their new stuff.

Does anyone know if the Diji games work in the Leapfrog Leapster system. TIA!

I have bought several Didj systems for my child and family members. They have all worked great. We use rechargeable batteries and they last a long time. My 6 year old nephew plays his ALL the time..it’s educational too! My sister downloads his spelling lists into the games using the leapfrog website.

**The Didj games do NOT work in the Leapster for those who wanted to know.**

      Thanks for the info!

Opps I can’t spell typing with one hand and nursing my baby at the same time – I meant to type Didj game -not Diji, lol.

Thanks Colin! Just ordered one with my gift cards from swagbucks for my son as a christmas present.

Thank you so much! I just started my Christmas shopping! Hurray!

My Target had the Star Wars game for Didji on clearance for under $5.00 yesterday. My son was disappointed that it was not for his Leapster. Those ordering may want to check their Target if going there this week.

I saw these for about $12 a while back, and they were also on clearance at Toys R Us. They said they’re being discontinued. I read a lot of bad reviews, which might explain it.

My 6 year and 5 year old each have a didj and we have never had a problem and they love it. It’s great for long car rides!

  9. Melissa

Its at $33.24 now! Still a good deal and Thanks Hip!

  10. Boo Boo

THANK YOU! My son loves his Didj but there are never any games in stores and when they are they’re $30. I just got 4 games for $40. Awesome. Shipping was only $5 too, so not horrible.

PEOPLE: DIDJ games won’t work in a Leapster. They’re totally different systems. You have to get Leapster games for Leapsters. We have both but my 4 year old seems to prefer his Didj.

I read from a leapfrog rep that they are only supporting this games system through 2010. They are phasing them out. Walmart and toysrus no longer carry them or the games.
I was going to purchase one that would last with my oldest but there are only about 15 games out there and if they are being disc. what it the point. I also read so many bad reviews and not enough good ones.

Thanks! I just ordered 4 games for a grand total of $36.98 shipped! Target has them priced at $29.99 each so this is an awesome deal on these! We got the Didj’s a few months ago when they were only $19.99 each shipped & stashed them away in the gift closet. We’ll give them to our boys for Christmas (they will be 6 & 5 yrs old then) 🙂
