Yay! Barbara, a reader, just emailed to let us know that the Old Spice / Gillette Body Wash Extra Care Buck deal is actually a limit of two –NOT one! This means that you can turn this deal into a nice moneymaker…

Get back an $8 Ecb
Final Cost for 2 for FREE + a $4 Moneymaker!
Why is it that men’s body wash is always the moneymaker? My hubby has enough body wash to last the rest of his life…lol.
I was thinking the same thing this morning! 🙂 Free is free, right?
These are great items to donate to your local shelter. They are always in need of personal hygeine items.
I was just thinking the same thing. 🙂 The men are going to be clean but what about us? I know there was free or money maker a few weeks back with the $4 Nivea coupon for women but my region didn’t get that coupon. I ordered it but they sent me the mens coupon and not the womens. It was too close to the expiration date to exchange it. Oh well. 🙂
I think it’s because the stuff doesn’t sell that well, so P&G are trying to get more people to buy it. Soap is soap, I use men’s body wash and I use women’s body wash and I use un-gendered body wash. The only differences are the smells. I do like Old Spice though because they don’t have animal-based glycerin in it…it’s really hard to find body wash that doesn’t have that!
I agree it does seem like the men’s bodywash has been freebies or money makers a lot recently. We have so much too. But free money I can’t pass up. I did this deals this morning and was pleasantly surprised with the $8 ecb.
I can confirm that this is true too! I was surprised as well.
i was just going to say ohmygod i have like 9 of these though i got a cvs giftcard for my bday so it will be even sweeter because i wont have to spend any money technically
You can only get the ECB 1 per household. Then they are $4.00 but no ECB. Still a good price either way.
I did this deal in Northern Va this morning. I used the B1G1 coupon and got $8 ECB back. So, I did make $4 on this deal. Yeah! Thanks Colin!!
It worked for me too! I bought 2 Old Spice body washes, one was free with the B1G1 Q so I only pd the $4 + tax and then I got back $8 ECBs! WooHoo! This is definitely the week for free men’s body wash!!
If you have a ton of men’s body wash, look into sending it to our troops in the desert. (Iraq & Afghanistan). They love it!! They also love baby wipes, capri sun (they can pack them in their packs), and I’m told they crave strawberry twizzlers. BTW: my cvs rang these up at $3, so the ecb didn’t work, the cashier did them after the fact, but neither of us realized you could do 2. Oh well!! Still a great deal, I was able to use a $2 off $6 body wash cvs coupon, then I used a $4 off of 2, and then a BOGO coupon, so they were both free, $3 overage + $3 ecb. I just love CVS!!
I know that Collin mentioned the B1G1 Old Spice from the 5/2 PG…
But could you also use the Buy any 1 Old Spice Body Wash (or Fresh Collection Anti-Perspirant or Deodorant) Get 1 Old Spice Body Wash Free?
Yes! I did the Old Spice one earlier today and it worked. I got $8 ECB back for it.
I can confirm this as well. Also there was a CVS coupon I got out of the machine a week or 2 ago that was $2 off of a soap or bodywash purchase of $6. Use this to stack, so you end up getting 2 Gillette body wash for $2 and you get $8 in EBC back! A $6 moneymaker!
Darn, I need to move…In CA we don’t have the gillette/old spice happening in our stores 🙁
I had my ammunition (coupons), but no target.
I just saw this too when I went this morning! 🙁 I was really looking forward to this deal!
Same with me in the Sacramento area. No $4 wash – ours is $4.99 w/o a ECB. Oh well… I’m sure there will be another deal for us! 🙂
Same here in Modesto
Same here in Bakersfield
Same in San Bernardino. Boo! I’m a retard and did the deal thinking that they didn’t put the tags up. I brought my receipt back to the cashier and he was like I don’t know what you’re talking about! LOL. Darn. Also, the Gillette razor didn’t give me ECBs. Says “Limit Reached.” I bought two last week. Wondering if that’s why??!!
Hey Gina, The exact same thing happened to me today with the razor. I called cvs and the woman told me that I should have received it and within 48 hours it would print when I went into the store. I didnt realize it until I got home and since it was already 100 degrees (I’m in Palm Springs, CA. BOO no body wash here either!) out I wasnt goinng to go back. I called 1800SHOPCVS. Very nice people!
Same here in Hemet.
Me too! I am severely disappointed! Darn Ca stores!
yup, just got back from CVS, and I was surprised to see $8 ECB back instead of $4 ECB as well. I officially have over 30 men’s body washes in my stockpile, I try to tell myself that I don’t need to buy anymore, but when stores are giving them away for “free”, I just can’t help myself. Igot5ltlboyz, I think sending them to the troops would be a great idea, I just wish there was a company that would ship them for us! 🙂
Most areas have food banks or homeless shelters that would gladly accept body wash.
Sarah, that is a good idea, and I do donate a BUNCH of them along with deodorant, toothbrushes, maxi pads, and food. I might not be able to donate much money, but if I can stretch my money further AND give more, then that’s a win-win situation. 🙂 I promised my husband I would only keep buying more of the stuff as long as I’m getting it for “free”.
I’m with you Kelli! I have 20 bottles and I don’t think my son and husband will use them all. But I also can’t say no, especially when it’s a money maker! Toward the end of the year I’ll be doing a lot of donating!
Kelli,
You can get a box from the post office that is a flat rate military box. you can fill it with as much as you can, and the post office will ship for 12.95. That just pays to get it to New York then the military takes it over. My son is currently serving in Iraq, that’s how I know the cost. And yes, they constantly need body wash, shampoo, etc. It gets gone fast in the small PXs that they have.
I just got back from CVS in CLeveland, TN and yes it is allowing 2 for $8 in ECBs. I was so shocked and I was about to send Collin an email when i read this at the top of the page. Yeah my fiance’ keeps saying “man I must really stink or need to take more showers the way you keep bringing in body wash, aren’t you ever going to buy you any?” lol Wish we had more sales on women’s things. Also our CVS off! clip-on kits are ringing up 9.97 with the $1 off. I was able to use a B1G1 coupon and the $3 CVS and the $2 manuf. q. Making it 4.97 for 2. I didnt think that was 2 bad.
just got back from cvs spent 9.00 got back 13.00 extra bucks whooooooo. got to love it.
I received a $2 off $6 body wash or bar soap CRT this morning. So, this could possibly be a $6 MM!!!!
That’s how I did it. It was awesome! Spent $2, Got 8 ECB!
Yep, I got that $2 cvs coupon too. Combined with the B1G1 old spice coupon you pay just 2 dollars plus tax for 2 body washes and you get 8 extra care bucks in return. woohoo!
There was a B1G1 coupon in last weeks paper for the Gillette Body Wash. Hope it works for me. 🙂
I had a coupon from $2 off gillette body wash from inside a razor package from several months ago that could be used to make this a $6 money maker if you had the B1G1 coupon too.
I got it too, I was so excited!
This is off topic but I was wondering if there is a charge (like a handling fee for cvs) for buying the sears gift card?
Looking at my receipt I would say no.
I also got the ‘$2 off any $6 body wash’ coupon out of the magic cvs coupon machine this last week. So I was able to get:
2 Gillette Body Washes @ $8
Minus the $2 cvs coupon = $6 Total
Minus the BOGO coupon takes off $4
Grand Total = $2 Plus I got back $8 ECB!!!
It’s so exciting to hear all of your success stories! I wish I had known that this would work for $8 ECB before I bought the Old Spice instead! I need to check here first from now on! Oh, well. I left the last 2 GIlettes for someone else to take advantage of. 🙂 And I didn’t really have room on the shelf for another body wash… I got the Old Spice deodorant and left all of my extra coupons on the shelf.
I bought two Old Spice body washes, one Old Spice deo, and one Old Spice body spray. I used the BOGO coupon, then the buy a body wash get a deo, then buy a body wash get a body spray, then $1 off of 2 body washes, all P & G coupons from last week. My CVS in Pickens, SC was ready for this deal, they even set out all my Old Spice items till the end so they could key in the free amounts. All free plus $8 in extra bucks which was unexpected since the ad said 1 deal per household.
I live in Easley, SC!! nice to meet u!
That’s great that they were prepared! My CVS didn’t have any left at noon today! Bummer!!
Elizabeth, I think you may have used too many coupons on the stated products. Each product can have 1 coupon attached to it. So if you bought 2 body washes, 1 deodorant, and 1 body spray, you should have only used the B1G1 Q, the “buy a body wash, get free deo” and the “buy a body wash, get free body spray”. The 1/$2 should have made the B1G1 free for the body washes void, since you had already used a coupon on those. I know it’s completely confusing, but we need to make sure we are using the coupons correctly in order to remain honest about our transactions. 🙂
They told me I could do it so I am trusting them as the retailer. The register never beeped and it will if something is questionable.
I did this deal this morning in Missouri and it worked. I used the BOGO Old Spice coupon and also the buy 2 body wash, get body spray free. 2 body washes and 1 body spray, oop was $4.00 and got back $8.00 in Extra bucks. Love CVS!!
I was stoked to find when I left the store I got an $8 ECB for both Old Spice bodywashes. Really wanted the Gillette, but there was only 1 on the shelf, but hey, free is free!
First I scanned my card and got $2/$6 bodywash purchse, $3/$15 Suncare purchase (going back tomorrow for the Neutrogena), and a $2 ECB! (i think this is from joining the diabetes advantage for dh).
I bought
2 Old Spice, 1 Covergirl Amazemint, 1 Gillette Proglide and a paper.
Used $4/$20 emailed cpn, $2/6 CRT, BOGO OS, $2 Covergirl, $4 Gillette & $9 in ECBs.
One of my ECBs had to be adjusted down for a 0 subtotal, so all I paid was $1.57 tax!
Walked out with $16 in ECBs, $7 more than I used!!
Question: I have 2 coupons for old spice. ONe is buy one get one free – the other is buy 2 get one free. Can I pay $4 for one, get one free with my bogo coupon and then get a 3rd for free with my buy 2 get one free coupon?
I was wondering the same thing the b1g2 if for free deoderant, when you buy 2 body washes
my qs both say buy any deodorant or body wash and get one body wash free. One q is buy 1 get 1, the other is buy 1 get 2. I’m just not sure it will work, I might just ask them if I can use both and see. I don’t really want to pay for a 3rd, but if it’s free I may as well stock up.
the answer “should” be no. You are already attaching one coupon (let’s say the first B1G1) to the 2 products you are already buying, so therefore, you should not attach anymore coupons to it unless you have a $1/1 for the original one you had to buy in order to get the 2nd one free. I do hope you understand all of that! 🙂
Here in the soutthwest, no deal on the Old Spice or Gillette washes. I asked cashier and she said if it wasn’t in the ads , then it’s not with ECBs. No ad on shelf either. = (.
i posted this deal on my site earlier and it turned into a moneymaker for me with another coupon and i bough a razor too
I /we have 2 CVS cards and the cashier just told me I was working the system just like another lady that comes in and has a card for every child in her family. I must say that I was speechless. Any who, I bought 2 Old Spice body washes and a body spray and used the BOGO on body wash and B2 body washes and get body spray free. Then I bought 2 Gillette body washes and used a BOGO. I asked about the using a BOGO coupon and a $4 off when you buy 2 body washes and nthat was a no go. I am still thrilles b/c I hyave 2-$8 ECB’s, YAY!!!
I too have several cards, thanks to my mom and mother-in-law =) Anywho, one of our local CVS always gives me a hard time about it but at another CVS I was told by a cashier that actuallly you are allowed to have 7 per household (not sure where she got that). Anyway, I usually only take advantage when there is a diaper sale anyway, or something that my extended family could use (like in the case of the candles last week). So you are not alone in the fact that you have more than 1 in your possession.
I started with $10 ECB’s today…
Then bought 2 boxes of cereal and a box of granola bars, 2 body washes, two John Freida products and 4 candy bars…
Spent $2.20 OOP…
And ended up with $15 ECB’s!
I love CVS. 🙂
It worked for me today! I bought 2 body washes, 1 clearance fusion razor for 4.74, used the $4/2 body wash, the $4/1 razor and the $2 off body wash from CVS. Paid 3.51 after taxes and got back $8 ECB! Yay!
Does anyone know if this is advertised in the ad this week? I can’t find it in my ad. Just wondering if its on sale at all stores this week or just some??? Thanks
I went today they have a end cap full with the old spice and Gillette and i got my 8 ECB’s now i have 9 i got one last week for the secret. Thank you, Collin
I was excited at first to see $8.00 ECB from Gillette body wash, but then realized the one from the ProGlide was not on there. I assumed that they were combined, but I guess there was really a limit of 2 and I missed out on my ECB’s from the razor : ( Also, didn’t get the ECB’s from the Covergirl, but I was already on the road by the time I realized. Not the best day for me, but still ok!!
If you got the pro-glide from last week, I don’t believe you can get it from this week too. Because mine says offer reached. I bought a razor last week but not this week……
I was coming to send Collin an E-mail about this deal, but man, you guys are on it! My cashier was giving me a hard time (jokinging) because she did the deal, but only bought one and said she wanted her extra 4 ECB. I had a great and coupon friendly cashier this week. I think I might call the store to let them know what I great job she did.
Like some of the other people, my husband was joking and asked me how many body washes he got this week. Then I had to tell him 2 and he just laughed. But I can’t pass them up when they are a money maker or free. I will certainly have some to send to the troops. I am gathering my expired coupons too.
I used the Old Spice Body Wash BOGO coupon and combined that with ECB I already had, which gave me 2 body washes for free and a $8 ECB. Then I did a second transaction and used the Gillete Body Wash BOGO coupon and paired that with the $8 ECB and got 2 more for free! I think we have enough body wash for my hubby to last awhile! 🙂
Is one allowed to do both 2 gillettes and 2 old spice?
Sure, but you’ll only get $4 or $8 in ECB, depending on whether your store has a limit of 1 or 2 ECB for this promotion. Use a BOGO for each brand and you’ll pay $8 out of pock and get $8 in ECB. It’s a good deal if you want variety in your dude body washes 😉
Hi all,
I am confused. I went to CVS yesterday, here in Vegas, and there was no deal on the gilette or old spice bodywash. I can’t even find it in their ad. Did not see any sunglasses on sale either.
They said it was probably last weeks ad. ????
Do you have an explanation?
thanks,
Yvonne
My CVS let me us the BOGO on Old spice, plus the $1.00 off one, and the coupon underit for buy 2 old spice get old spice body spray for free…..made a very sweet deal. Got 2 Old spice plus old spice body spray for $3.oo and $4.00 ecb.
Is this deal not listed in the ad…I don’t see anything showing extra care bucks in the ad or in the store???
