Is worklife rewards the office depot rewards card?

    • Jo Ann

      Yes.

    • NolaGirl

No. It’s a shopper loyalty program like Staples Rewards and OfficeMax MaxPerks. There is a Worklife Rewards Visa available. For more information see https://www.myworkliferewards.com/home.do or go to officedepot.com.

      • NolaGirl

        Oops. Meant yes.

  3. ali

YAY! I’m heading to Staples today, so this will give me an even bigger moneymaker. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Remember. . . it’s for Office Depot

      • Jo Ann

Maybe her Staples will accept Office Depot coupons. 🙂

        • Derek

My Staples gladly takes these, as well as Office Depot (obviously! :-P) so I am going to have a very office supply-filled October/November, it appears!!

          • rachel

If you use this coupon at Staples do you have to be a Staples member then?

  4. Joanna

I’m really excited! I needed printer ink for a bit & now I can get it 10 bucks cheaper.

  5. Jessica

Is the Office Depot Worklife Rewards card like a store credit card (i.e. a Macy’s card) or more like a Kroger card? I won’t open a store credit card, but will gladly go get something along the lines of a grocery store card for $1 ream’s of paper!

    • fran

Jessica, it’s not a CC. It’s a rewards card that you use when you make a purchase or recycle empty ink cartridges. When you reach over $10 in a quarter, they send you an Office Depot gift card.

      • Jessica

Excellent. Thank you! I will be headed to Office Depot today 🙂

Is the $10 off $20 a legitimate coupon? I got a worklife email with the $1 paper advertised, but the email advertised $10 off $100 type coupons. It seems like a very high value coupon and I don’t want to use it unless it’s really put out by office depot.

    • Collin

      Hi Sarah-

It is a legitimate coupon…it is actually advertised in a banner ad across the top of OfficeDepot.com (it says $10/$20 coupon will be emailed to you when you give Office Depot your email address).

    • Leigh

I used mine today and got 2 reams of paper and ink for $12.83 with tax. I actually paid nothing because I used my Office Depot rewards that I got back from the first 100% back offer in the summer.

  7. Stephen

It’s two reams of paper. It says limit 2 per household.

  8. Collay

Does anyone have any MM scenarios to do w/ this new coupon? TIA!

    • NolaGirl

Use it with the Post-It coupons and the buy $20 or more of any 3Mâ„¢ Permanent Label
and/or Post-it Removable Label products by December 31, 2010, and receive a $10 rebate by mail deal.

I just printed these coupons and at the bottom it says on the bottom, Mus present this original coupon to cashier. If you click the link above is that the original or will they consider this photocopies?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      It’s the original.

I just sign up on OfficeDepot.com and got exact same .pdf coupon for signing up…so it is original coupon…

I went today and picked up two reams of paper. When I got to the checkout, the guy put in the paper and the total came to $4.xx. When I asked why it wasn’t $1 each, he said I could only get 1 ream for $1 and the other ream was “discounted”… I said that the coupon says “limit 2 per household” and he said that meant overall — there’s a limit on the number of reams they can sell, for inventory purposes, regardless if I pay $1 or the full price. So, I paid $4.xx for two. Each ream was supposed to be $6.xx and the guy was like “you’re still getting a great deal!” I was in a hurry and didn’t feel like arguing so I left.

But I thought I’d just bring that up. It’s not really $1 each. I think the whole coupon is misleading. Sure, getting each ream for $2 is a “good deal”, but I went to Office Depot looking for the better $1 each deal.

    • Christylee

That is terrible I will go there and find out if mine is going to follow the rules tonight, that is false advertising then.

I had no trouble today using 2 of the $1 paper coupons. They rang up at $6.29 each, there was a $3.30 promo on each reducing them to $2.99 and the 2 coupons took another $1.99 off each. Not sure why it didnt work the same way for other people. Did you hand over 2 coupons or just one?
I had $167 on my OD Rewards card from last quarter and used all of it this week to buy an office chair, 8 printer cartridges, an answering machine, the paper and a pair of scissors.

Went to use this office depot coupon at Staples today to take advantage of all the good deals. I bought 2 reams of the Staples paper, one flash drive on sale for $7.99, one pkg of dry erase markers for $2 and one pack of highlighters for 90 cents. Clerk would not let me use the 10 off 20 coupon. Said that the paper was already considered a coupon deal, as was the flash drive, and I could not use another coupon on top of that. Asked for the mgr. which was then a 15 minute wait. She told me I could use the coupon, but might not get my Staples easy rebate of $4.98 per/ream since I had added a $10 coupon on top of that. I told her I would take my chances and if I did not get it, come back and return everything, which I may or may not, I do not immediately need to use the things I got. I sure hope I get the rebates after all this. Just wanted to let you know that some of you also might have trouble using this coupon at Staples.

The same happened to me, so I told the lady to do 2 separate transactions. It worked! Bring 2 coupons with you just in case they throw a tantrum. $2 for 2 reams!! Thanks Collin!

  14. Cathy

i shopped at office depot today in san jose, ca and bought 2 reams for total of $2.19 with tax.
the cashier even said as i walked over, “you are getting the best deal of the day.” yay.

  15. Elaine

Thanks for posting this! I got some blank DVD+RW’s and a pack of paper for around $11. Cheaper than eBay with the $10 off coupon & $1 HP paper coupon. 😉

  16. jane

I had no problem doing this deal. Got $10 off a black ink cartridge and another $10 off a color ink cartridge, and there are two more $10 off coupons I could use after 10/16 if I wanted to. Also bought two reams of paper for $1 each. The cashier had the paper right there at check-out and said I only needed to give her one q to get both reams at $1. Thanks Collin! 🙂

Just tried to do this deal….major headache at the Office Depot on Douglas in Roseville…they said they had to take the manuf coupons first, so that took the total below the $20 for the Office Depot cpn. After discussion, cashier called a mgr…they finally agreed to take it first, but would only allow 1 manufact coupon of each kind…ugh! Definitely a ymmv situation.
