I spend a small fortune on Amazon — so this sounds like an easy way to help with those costs. Thanks Collin!
Weird, I tried signing up and it’s not letting me. Says:
Thank you very much for your interest in our service. Unfortunately you won’t be able to register with Valued Opinions. Our records indicate that your ID has already been registered for membership and/or data inconsistencies have been identified regarding the profile data you’re providing.
I’ve never signed up for this before. Hmm.
It said the same thing for me too
Said the same for me……I emailed them….weird
Had the same thing happen to me, but it let me set up a profile. I also have not even had an account with them.
same sort of thing happened to me, so I emailed them
I didn’t realize I had already signed up with them ( i think I did it through Swagbucks). I would try doing the “forgot password” and see if you get one sent to your e-mail.
I did, and then they said there was no one in the database with my email address…yet when I try to register it tells me someone is already registered with my email address…I tried doing it again, and tried forgot password twice…
Me too, I emailed them.
me too! i have never signed up either
I’m having the same problem
same here
Make sure all your information is correct, including birthdates. It checks against public records, so it must be your real name and birth date 🙂
says the same for me too!
Thanks! I like Amazon gift card, so I joined the panel. 🙂
i joined..cant go wrong with amazon gift cards!
I like Valued Opinions, but it takes FOREVER to be credited your $ after taking the survey.
Yep 28 days
Do you have to claim these earnings as income for your taxes?
no
Actually, you do have to claim ANY income according to the government. They want your taxes on every dollar you bring in. I remember my tax professor in college (accounting curriculum) saying if you are walking in 7-11 and find a dollar on the ground, you are supposed to report it. I think that might be a little overboard but I know the rule of thumb I’ve always been told is, if you “earn” it (sold something or provided a service, ie. filling out surveys), you are supposed to report it.
Not the answer we want, but….
Yes you do. They are misc. income.
You only have to report it if your total “misc” earnings are over $500. Anything under $500 (and that includes winning big prizes…they only tax $500 or more), you don’t have to claim.
Joined and already took first survey. We’ll see how long it takes to get to $20!
Thanks Collin.
I’ve been a member of Valued Opinions for more than a year. Not once have I been offered a survey for more than $4.00. Most of the surveys are $1.00 or $2.00. So far, I’ve cashed out $120.00 in Amazon gift cards, which isn’t bad. If only I could save up the gift cards for something really good instead of spending them every time I see a $5.00 or $10.00 item I want!
Ha ha Cindy, that sounds like how I will be. We got to have will power, will power!! 🙂
I just signed up so will try to hang on for something good at amazon.
I have $24.00 with opinion outpost and I keep getting tempted to request a check, but then I stop myself as what’s $24.00 going to get me when I can keep saving it for something bigger.
I have been with Valued Opinions for only about a year and they are great. I get several surveys a week that average about $2 more or less(some alot higher)! That doesn’t sound like a lot but, in this past year I have bought 5 xmas gifts from Amazon just from taking surveys! Pretty Cool!
I’ve been with Valued Opinions for a few months. I’ve cashed out about $80 in Amazon credits, mostly because I tested a few products, and was part of a focus group. Most I’ve ever been able to get for answering surveys, etc, though, so whenever I see the emails from them, I pounce on them. $1 or $2 here and there adds up too! 🙂
love valued opinions! they are reliable & they dont waste my time with a bunch of non-sense questions only to tell me 10 mins later i dont qualify.
I signed up with Deal Seeking Mom to take surveys and you get paid actuall money everytime you hit $25.00.
I have a Question please???,I have tried many paid survey sites,But just about everyone says you dont qualify,Is there any hints around this,Do you answer honestly? Im really about to give up on the whole paid survey thing….And Inbox Dollar takes 4Ever….
I hear you. It has been much more difficult lately (compared to 3+ years ago). I believe that’s because there are so many more people signing up now. Years ago, I almost *never* got disqualified. It was unheard of. Now I hardly qualify for anything. What really makes me mad is that many times I was almost at the end of the survey (some of them would display a progress bar that was almost all the way filled out) and then they told me I was disqualified. That’s total BS. They got my answers and didn’t want to pay for my time and effort, that’s what it is.
Valued Opinions is a pretty good company. Not perfect, but very good.
I signed up about a month ago with the Money Saving Mom “survey panel” she offered. I have been doing surveys fairly regularly and already got 1 $25 check and just requested my second one. They say you can make up to $25 a week, I havent been able to do that but $50 a month will help buy a few Christmas presents. Also when I passed $50 they contacted me for a free magazine…I got This Old House for over 3 years in my Dad’s name. Another Christmas present off my list, lol. Not qualifying for surveys seems to be a pattern with a lot of companies I have tried over the years but I get into enough of them that it’s worth it to me! Thanks to MSM and Hip2Save and all the other sites that offer these opportunities to us. That with all the deals you show us, really help out the family!
How can I join the panel?
Congratulations, Amanda! Then you are one of the very few successful ones. With roughly 2000 participants, the majority have yet to reach double-digit amounts in earnings. Fewer than one dozen have reached the $50 level you have achieved. Sunshine, I would suggest finding another survey opportunity which might provide a better return for your investment of time.
That being said, more dimes can be squeezed from dollars and more money can be “earned” by working the deals suggested by H2S and implementing the principles demonstrated by MSM than trying to qualify for loads of surveys. Stick to the deals which are a fit for your situation and family, and you will be much further ahead.
I signed up for this one a while ago and have yet to be offered a single survey. I am a member of quite a few survey sites and my two favorites are pine cone research and opinion outpost. Both pay you in real money, not gift cards or other rewards. I also get survey requests pretty frequently (more so from Opinion Outpost.)
i have been a member for a while…but i get so irritated bc not only are the surveys usually 20+ mins for only $2….but a lot of times, i get half way thru them before they tell me that i don’t qualify to complete it. I do however receive prob 4 to 5 a week tho….but usually do them when i am bored.
Same here! I get plenty of surveys.. but get part of the way through them .and then it says I don’t qualify!I have been with them about 1 year and have only made 6.00 on surveys. I quit trying..not worth the time! I do Pinecone Research all the time and they pay 3.00 every time. Had 2 surveys this week and I love theirs! I have also received products from them too!
Does anyone know how legitimate Earning at Home Made Easy is? It is saying that the trial membership is 4.77 but it may be a complete hoax.
I don’t know about this site, but my rule of thumb is never pay any site.
Hi, I’m sure it’s a ripoff. Any survey site that requires you to pay upfront usually is.
I just signed up for it… we’ll see how it goes. amazon gift cards def come in handy!!
On Vocalpoint’s Facebook page they asked a question last week with quite a few responses. There are over 200 comments listing several ways to make money from home (surveys etc.).
“I would like to know of legitimate ways for a stay-at-home-mom to help with the expenses by making money from home.
