CVS: $5 in FREE Halloween Items?!
Did you shop at CVS today? If so, I’d love to hear what coupons you received from the magic coupon machine. I’ve heard from a couple readers now about an awesome Halloween coupon they received. The coupon is valid for $5 off ALL Halloween costumes and accessories– which means FREE Halloween items! Reader, Christy, was able to snag the Pumpkin Decorating set (pictured above) for FREE! It was priced at $4.99, so FREE after the $5 coupon!

This coupon covered everything in the Halloween section, including (on sale) $1.99 glow in the dark Halloween decorated Softsoap pumps! I got this one today and for some reason I thought it said $5 off of $20…..I wonder if you can use them tomorrow since it says Oct 4th.
u can use the coupon as long as it is in the same week.
I had to stop there anyways to get contact stuff for DH with my ECBs, so DD swiped my card and than pcked out a pink hair wig for $4.99 she was very happy as next week is crazy hair day at AWANA
YAY!!! I just got back from cvs and they were soooo nice! I used my boyfriends card and my card so I had 2 of the $5 off coupons. They let me split my transaction up and get 2 of the 6 pack of battery powered tealights ($4.99each) for free, I didn’t even have to pay any tax! I am so happy I LOVE candle light but I burn through them pretty quickly so these should help me get my “candle fix” in between sales.
Yup I got it too. I picked up that Pumpkin Carving Kit for free! Scored great at CVS with the Renu (had a $4 off coupon) and then got $7.99 ECB!
CVS was like a candy store for me today. Got really lucky, ended up with the Revlon Q and the magic coupon machine gave me a $4 off $20 with the Halloween Q. So, 5 nail polishes and one piece of candy = $20.28 – $4/$20 – $5 (5 $1 off Revlon Nail Enamel)- $7/$15 Revlon = 4.28 with $15 in ECBs and then 2 shots (2 seperate cards worth) of the $5 of free Halloween stuff. I stay so frustrated at never getting the magic Qs when I want them, then there is a day like today and I remember why I am addicted to CVS and that little magic printer.
Had the $7 off $15 Revlon Q so got the 4 bottles of nail polish for the teenagers and got all the Extra Bucks back! Also had the $5 for Halloween stuff and scored 2 glitter eyeliners [$1.99 each] and glow in the dark nail polish [$.99]= FREE!!! Forgot to use the $4 off of $20 but there’s always tomorrow! =)
Thanks for posting this, I would have never known if I didn’t read the post, I went to CVS and got the $4.99 pumpkin candle for free, so awesome.
I had my boyfriend go with me. We both got the $5 coupons, so we got a matching set of ceramic skelleton candle holders (that look pricey lol) with one coupon because they rang up as 2 for $5!! With the other coupon we got a huge adorable halloween doormat for my mother, it had a kitty on it that looks like hers, surrounded with pumpkins. It was tucked in wayyy down below, behind stuff!!
I had $20 ECB’s that needed to be used up soon before they expired, and 6 of the $1 revlon coupons, so I got 4 Revlon Nail Polishes, (all new colors that they just put out for xmas, and other limited editions with sparkle top coat!) and they finally had green bag tags in stock so I bought one of those too..I got $18 ECB’s back..I also did them in broken up purchases so the $18 werent all lumped together. This way I will have them to use when the Oral-B Vitality brushes come back in stock, (I had to get rebates). I will get one… then roll the $13 ECB’s from it (they give them to you even with rebates!!) to get another for my boyfriend.and have $13 ECB’s after that! All of this stuff completely free … with the exception of using up some soon to expre ECB’s!!
I later went to Wags… got 8 nivea lip glosses with coupons (I realized I had tons, and 8 more to go… will make great stocking stuffers!!) 2 bags of werther’s originals, Rimmel mascara, 2 tubes of Aquafresh toothpaste (on sale bogo) and an EOS lip balm (my first to try!). I had unused RR’s about to expire… so it all came to $1 I Immediatley went over and grabbed our local sunday paper and used the $3 RR’s to pay for it lol.
Later that night my boyfriend bought me another EOS lip balm (I LOVE it!!) and then used his RR to get our printer’s ink cartridge filled for me as a surprise!! (which cost only $3 because of a coupon they had at the counter… so free with RR!!!)

I wasn’t sure if I was going to get the $5 q but I got one for each of the two cards I scanned. So far I picked up two pairs of the funky-fuzzy halloween socks for DS’s girlfriend. Not sure what I’ll get with the other $5 q.
I got two pairs of fuzzy socks as well too for my daughters. $2.50 each, so both for FREE.
Can someone fill me in on the little green bag tag thing?
You buy the green bag tag for 99c and just bring a reusable bag w/ you to shop and every 4 times you swipe the green bag tag you get a 1ECB on your receipt! Its a great deal for us frequent shoppers:-) Oh yeah one swipe per day…HTH!
You dont even have to have a reusable bag on you to use the tag, I keep mine with my CVS card because if I attatched it to one of my many reusable bags I would forget it! lol The only thing is, they cant give you a plastic bag when you scan your tag… so if you dont have a bag, you carry your stuff or plop it in your purse. Im already 1/2 way to earning my dollar back. Very quick and easy way to earn some ECB’s while helping the environment a little :o)
Yeah, I am curious about the green bag tags too. Never heard of them.
I stopped at CVS last night to get hair products for my daughter. After scanning my card I too got the $5 off a Halloween item and a Q for $1.00 off 2 Aussie products.
I chose a pumpkins candy dish for $4.99 as my FREE item. Then after grabbing (2) Aussie products, (2) Arnold Palmer 1/2 drinks which were BOGO…my total bill was a little over $5.00. Not too bad 🙂

My $5 coupon said 1 day deal – I wonder if it will print out another day this week.
My hubby is a huge cleveland browns fan so I got the orange lights to put on our cleveland browns tree.
I was soooooo siked about this coupon!
I also got the $7 off $15 Revlon and used it on 6 bottles of nail polish for my wife and daughter. Used the $5 off $25 and a $1/1 Revlon coupon and got back $18 ecb. NICE!!

I used the $5 Halloween coupon it to get $3.99 purple Halloween lights that I will give to friend that is a Raven’s fan and for .99 I got cute plastic container that I will use to fill with treats for my sweetie.
I got this yesterday too but didn’t look at it carefully and didn’t think to use it on something like decor for free stuff. It says one day only but the expiration date is today. If anyone uses theirs from yesterday please let us know if it worked! Thanks!

JUST WENT TO CVS AND THIS COUPONS PRINTED FOR ME TODAY 10/4. THE COUPONS SAYS IT EXPIRES 10/5. STATES ONE DAY ONLY.

I got my coupon yesterday and it said it expired 10/4 and I was able to use it today!!

I received the coupon as well. I bought a small light up jack o lantern and a skull head for free after coupon.
I was able to get two deals…one my card and the other with my hubby’s. I bought a cute tin can full of popcorn in Halloween colors…green, purple and orange!!!! With the other I got 2 bags of the Halloween snack bags of Snyder’s pretzels. I paid $1 with a ECB!!!! Thanks, Collin!!!!!!
I went to my local CVS today and received the $5 coupon for the Halloween stuff. I was able to get one of the pumpkin decorating kits. My kids were soooooo excited!! I love free stuff!
I just got the coupon tonight but my CVS had very few halloween items at all. After the excitement for the coupon, it was a bit of a let down. My 8 year old wisely decided that the best thing to get was just the electric tea lights to put in the pumpkins…
I bought 6 milky way simply caramel today thinking that it would be buy 2 get 1 free. i also found a buy 1 get 1 free coupon beside it so i thought it would be a very good deal, but it ended ringing up at $0.50 each. so it looked like this:
6 milky way $0.50 each – $3.00
-$1.50 (3 buy 1 get 1 free coupon)
=$1.50 (so about $0.25 each chocolate bar)
if it rang up at $0.89 each and buy 2 get 1 free, it would have looked like this:
4 milky way $0.89 each – $3.56
2 milky way $0 (free)
-$0.89 buy 1 get 1 free q
-$0.89 buy 1 get 1 free q
-$0.89 buy 1 get 1 free q (i can use 3 coupons because i bought 6 bars)
=$0.89 (about $0.15 each per bar!!!)
i didn’t have the energy to ask the cashier so i just let it go.

Same thing happened to me. I made them change it. They were not happy but hey it’s in the ad that way – it’s not my fault. Still a great deal for you though.
I love saving these for Halloween – the trick-or-treaters get so excited when I give them a full size candy bar!!
I went today, I got the $5 off halloween coupon as well as a $2 off secret deodorant (no size restrictions). SO I ended up getting the travel size secret deodorant for $1.79 and still got $2 off.

I got a skull cup, an orange and black cup with straw, and a pumpkin bubble blower for free! And the revlon deal and the bengay..and a tuperwear that was clearance for $1.50 seems like a good quality one
i love my green tag..i got it when a coupon printed out of the machine .50 off..so I got my tag for $.50 and I have earned back many dollars since i frequent my CVS! 😉
I have two CVS cards: mine and my fiance’s. Both cards printed the coupon so I “bought” two packs of Halloween window clings and two pairs of Halloween socks. My sister “bought” 2 sippy cups and a Halloween-themed plastic Chinese food container. Thanks Collin!!!
Gramma and I both got a $5 CRT and we both bought candy! The big bags of Snickers are on sale for $5 and there is also the deal, spend $10 get back $3. That’s either 1 bag for free or 2 bags for $2 after ECB’s. Carmel Apple Salad is now on the menu!
I was so bummed when I read these comments on Sunday because I thought I had missed out on the deal. Well I went today and scanned my card and the magic machine printed out a the $5 coupon! Yay!!
I thought this would be a one time deal after getting one yesterday but I went back today and another $5 off Halloween printed out. Thus far I have gotten 24 glow in the dark necklaces for $4.16……..kids love these even when it is not Halloween, think 4th of July maybe.
Was able to use the $5 coupon on several Halloween Pez dispensers.
I went to CVS the day this deal was posted and received my $5 off coupon. When I went to purchase my items($5 worth of Halloween accessories included), the cashier wouldn’t process my transaction with the coupon. Stated that I had to buy 1 item worth $5 or more in order to use the coupon(manager agreed). Ugh!

Daughter (29) called me on her way home today (8:30pm!!) and said she was walking into CVS and “What do I do?”
Told her to ask for a CVS card and she did.
Then I told her to scan it at the machine…..NOTHING!! UGH!!! That ruined our plan! LOL!
But….an AWESOME cashier to the rescue!
She said that since it was my daughter’s 1st time, she would give her 2 coupons ($5 off Halloween and $4 off) that another customer left and attach them to my daughter’s card 🙂
So I told my daughter to get 2 Revlon polishes.
Told her a $1 Halloween item, a few $.33 each caramels, and the milk she needed.
Cashier rang up one polish and the Halloween item = $5.00.
Used the $5/Halloween and total was $0.00!! And she got back $3 ECB.
Then I told her to ring up the other nail polish and the milk and a couple caramels.
Used the $4 coupon and the $3 ECB (adjusted it down 3 cents) and total again was $0.00!!
And…she walked out the store with a $3 ECB to use next time.
She was so thriled. I think I’ve created a CVS monster! LOL! We had fun 🙂
