It’s that time of year again, the time of year when Toys R Us rolls out a *HOT* new Hasbro Family Game Night rebate! This rebate form can be found in most Toys R Us locations (usually in the game section) and is valid for purchases made from 10/31/2010 to 12/31/2010. You can check out all the details regarding this rebate offer on page 28 of the Toys R Us The Great Big Christmas book or you can view the book online here.

When you combine these Hasbro game rebates with coupons and sales, well, as you can imagine, you can score some VERY awesome deals. Last year, lots of readers were able to score FREE Hasbro games.

Here’s a highlight of some of the Hasbro rebate offers available…

…AND this rebate offer gets even sweeter. You see, when you purchase one select Hasbro Game priced at $10.99 (Trouble Twister, Operation, Connect 4, Scrabble, Battleship, Guess Who, Sorry, The Game of Life or Monopoly), you can score a FREE Chocolate monopoly or Chocolate Scrabble game ($9.99 value). This discount will automatically be applied at checkout! …AND even sweeter, reportedly when you purchase 2 select Hasbro games (Scrabble, Connect 4, Sorry, Battleship and Monopoly), you’ll score a FREE $10 Toys R Us gift card upon checkout. This has been confirmed by Amber over at Coupon Connections NW. She did state that there is NO indication of this gift card promo in-stores, but that the register will still prompt for the $10 Toys R Us gift card?! If that’s the case, check out the deal you may be able to score below…

Buy 2 Hasbro games from the list above $10.99 each
Buy 1 Chocolate Monopoly Game (Free with purchase above)
Buy 1 Chocolate Scrabble Game (Free with purchase above)
Pay $21.98
Get back a $10 Toys R Us gift card (Unadvertised promo)
Plus, submit for the two $3 Hasbro Game rebates
(You should be able to find this rebate form in-store in the board game section)
Final cost only $5.98 for all the above– just $1.50 per item!

Note: I myself have not confirmed that you will get back a $10 Toys R us gift card. Please report back with any details on this unadvertised promo.

I have some $5 coupon cards I had been saving for something like this. It will be an awesome deal with or without the gift card but I have to admit it would make it even sweeter!

    • randi

🙂 i have been saving mine too, can’t wait to see if my store is doing the gift card too 🙂

    • Natasha

Ditto 🙂 I had a Toys RUS that was closing that had the card games on clearance but had $5.00 off coupons inside.

      • Linda

I am so glad you posted this I had forgotten I have some of those coupons also. WOW! an amazing deal.

  2. Amber B

    Man, I wish I had a Toys R Us !!

  3. Diane

I hate to ask a dumb question – but what is a Chocolate Monopoly game?

  4. Amber B

The rebate is online also : you just click on one of these games, see the promotion section and click on details under Hasbro rebates. In case you don’t have the rebates in the store 🙂

  5. Amanda

It is an actual game made from chocolate. So you can eat it after you play it. 🙂

    • Brianna

      LOL!!!

  6. Jen

I’m sad to say that under the last Hasbro Family Game Night rebate both my mom and I bought a bunch of games. We submitted the rebates right away and never got our rebates. We each called Hasbro and we both got the same response, “Sorry! There’s nothing we can do!” This was disappointing because a lot of companies will at least allow you to fax/mail in a copy, but not Hasbro. They really couldn’t have cared less. 🙁

    • nancy

I agree,it took forever to get the rebates and they could not have cared less.\

    • shellbell

i had the same issue, i never got my rebate either!!! wont do that again with them

    • Audrie

It’s important to save the UPC’s or the copy of the UPC’s. In the past, having a copy of the UPC gets them to shut right up and send me my rebate.

Just to show Hasbro that’s not cool, you could always report them to the bbb.

      • Deb

Unfortunately, we give far too much credit to the BBB-they don’t have the muscle to do much of anything…

        • Robin

It’s not necessarily about having the BBB do something for you. If you look up companies on the BBB you can see lists of complaints that others have made about said company. If enough people report Hasbro for non-payment of rebates, then others will see that and hopefully not get sucked in to something they probably won’t receive like the rest of us.

        • Linda

You are wrong. One letter to the BBB online and they contacted the company and within days the company called me and were very happy to comply Since it was resolved so quickly and VERY satisfactory I will not disclose the company.

    • Tisha in SC

I never got my rebate either and when I called I also got the cold shoulder. This is a deal that I am sure to pass up. Hasbro customer service not so great!

      • Susan

It’s funny that this is brought up because it was just yesterday that I realized I didn’t get my rebate last year.

  7. Lacey

On the ad that I received in the my paper last weekend it says that you get a $10 gift card with a $75 purchase to use on a future purchase.

    • Rei

I got that too plus a $10/$100 coupon on the booklet…I’m trying to think how I can maximize my savings…hmmmm

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It says Limit ONE REBATE per GAME per HOUSEHOLD and LIMIT ONE REBATE CHECK issued per family, household or address. I know companies like to do adjust as they see fit with their rebates. Just making sure there’s no loopholes I’m missing. We can do rebate for more than one game per receipt?

    • Katie Martin

last time I had multiple receipts but each receipt had more then one game on them. So since they only did one rebate per household I just submitted all the receipts in one envelope. I only bought one of each game that I wanted for the rebates. It took a while but I did receive my rebate check back.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Thank you Katie!

        • Kris

I also just checked all the games we bought and put everything together as one mailing. I got my rebate 2-3 weeks after christmas so it did take awhile to get the rebate. I also called about 2 weeks before I got it and was told mine was sent and had great cs.

    • Shayla

Glad someone pointed this out…you can only get one rebate per game per household.

  9. Crystal

I can confirm I am not sure how many hasbro games you need to purchase but I bought three along with some other items excited about scoring the $10 gift card for a $75 purchase and when the girl rang it up she said that I was getting a $20 gift card instead because of the hasbro promo but like the others there was no markings in the store of this promo so it was a great surprise to get the extra $10

    • Rei

Can you tell us which games you bought? Thanks 🙂

      • Svetlana

i’ve got Bop it! Bounce and Cuponk

    • Svetlana

yes,i confirm too.i did the same thing, bought 2 Hasbro games, plus used the coupon from the sunday paper “get 10$ gift card when you spend a 100” and they gave me 20$ gift card! My Xmas shopping is done early! Yahoo!

  10. Traci

How can you get both the monopoly and scrabble chocolate games on the same transaction? I thought the ad said one or the other?

  11. fldukes

Does anyone know if the Hasbro rebate requires an original receipt? I was hoping to get some Crayola products also to get my total to $75, but that rebate does require an original receipt.

    • Svetlana

ask them to print 2 receipts plus the gift receipt

  12. Mitch

    That is amazing.
I seem to remember the $10 Hasbro offer from last year.
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

  13. MommyHasDeals

Yay! I received my rebates last year! I hope there are no problems this year

  14. Donna

I also submitted the rebate last year and never got anything, and had the same response from Hasbro, sorry we have no record of your submission (and shame on me but I did not keep a copy) But I’ll pass on this with hasbro

    • Jen

Don’t feel bad! I did have a copy of everything I sent and they still were no help!!

  15. Nichole B

Just stopped into my local Toys R Us here in Michigan. I didn’t receive the gift card after purchasing one monopoly and one Life. They only had one of the chocolate games left. Needless to say I’m now not as excited as when I walked into the store.

    • Lindsey

      where at in michigan

      • Nichole

At the Waterford/Pontiac Store on Telegraph.

    • TamraK

Collin says only Scrabble, Connect 4, Sorry, Battleship and Monopoly will trigger the $10 gift card. The Life probably didn’t count.

      • Sia

I just got back from my Toys R Us in Salt Lake. I bought Sorry! and Battleship and got the 2 free chocolate games. No gift card though! ):

      • Svetlana

I bought Cuponk and Bop it! Bounce and it was qualified for the gift card

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I shopped at the Novi, MI store today and did not get the $10 gift card. Not only were they out of the chocolate games, but they were also out of the TS3 Wall Clocks that I was supposed to get free with my purchase. I am VERY disappointed. 🙁

  16. Mary

Can Toysrus print out multiple receipts for the same transaction??????

    • Kris

Yes they can. I had them do it for me when I had rebates for the p&f dvd. Just ask them to print out an extra one right then because I did mine a week after and they had to do a return and resell me the items and took much longer.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ask for a “rebate receipt”. I’m not sure if they still do it, but when I worked there, other than “gift receipt”, you also had an option for “rebate receipt”. We couldn’t print multiple “original receipts”, but there was an option for “rebate receipt”

    • Heather

sorry but no, you do need your original receipt for the rebate ,FYI , they (TRU)can however always look up receipts in there computer ,just write down the date of your purchase and the transaction # and if you need to return any of those items it can be done!plus when you have a rewards card it makes returns easy!

  17. Jenn

Totally unrelated, but did anyone receive their Clorox Toilet Wand rebate? They said they never received my submission, and I offered to mail them the copies of everything I’d made, but they said they wouldn’t accept it–had to be original. Kinda strange that it would just get “lost” in the mail . . . seemed a little shady, so I thought I’d see if anyone else got theirs.

    • Patricia

I got mine – a while ago. That’s too bad! I hate when companies just leave you out like that

  18. Denise

Don’t know if anyone saw this:

Earn “R”Us Dollars by using your Rewards Card
    * Earn 10% Back on your holiday purchases at Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us, in-store or online, from October 31, 2010 — December 24, 2010.
    * Receive up to $50 “R”Us Dollars during this period.

  19. Heather

According to Jazzy2003 on hotcouponworld’s TRU forum, Guess Who and Trouble (and two free chocolate games) are also producing the GC. Some are speculating that it’s similar to last year’s Hasbro deal of “Buy $40 and get a $10 GC” and it’s just that the register is including the retail price of the chocolate games. Also, one commenter on the forum mentioned that the number 056431 was listed under the GC on her receipt, and this same number was also listed on her receipt under the two participating games. So, not sure if you could somehow match them up to the shelf tags or if they’re part of the UPC or what, but perhaps this helps somehow!

    • A.D.

Last year I got a bunch of games and figured out that the gift card was calculating the total based on the retail price (not the sales price). Not sure if the chocolate game thing is adding to the total or the original price of the games is $40.

  20. mitchellsjp

I just went to the toys r us in Schaumburg and bought 1 sorry and 1 battleship. They were out of the chocolate games and I did not receive the 10 gift card. Do you think you have to have the chocolate games to get it?

    • Sia

I got Sorry and Battleship and the chocolate games and I didn’t get the gc. Still a great deal, not jaw-dropping great, but still glad I got it. Thanks Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Crystal Lake, IL- I was checking out at the service desk and when the cashier noticed the $10 off discount she asked the manager about it. He told her it was an error and to override it and not give me the discount. I am already getting a good deal so it’s okay, but it would have been nice!

      • Heather

I would love to know how this could be overridden because the register prompts the cashier to scan the gift card so there is no way to override it. Plus I would love to know how this happened if this is true,I work at the Crystal Lake,IL. location and I personally scanned gift cards for guests on Tuesday ,which was the day the promo was for.Next time you are in the Crystal Lake store and have a question and its from hip 2 save just ask for me and I will try to help you!!!hope your next visit goes much better!

  21. karel b

I just went, bought Connect 4, Trouble and 2 Chocolate games. I got the chocolate games for free. I paid roughly $24 for all 4 games. No gift card 🙁 Oh well!!

    • Casey

Ditto! I bought Connect 4 & Sorry! (and got the two chocolate games free) but no gift card :((

  22. Jennifer E.

I Just Bought Monopoly And Sorry And No Gift Card 🙁
    Im In South Florida

    • Sia

It’s looking like it’s if you make a $40 Hasbro purchase. Maybe some of the chocolate games were counting toward that total, but mine didn’t. Some of the others that were making larger purchases got the gc

      • Laura

I think it is a YMMV thing because I just bought 4 games and no GC.

      • Deb

I think this is when the games go back & I get my $$ back in my wallet.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to Toys R Us here in S. Florida…no go for the 10 dollar credit. I bought Monopoly, Operation, and the two chocolates. Asked Customer service rep to ring up Scrabble and Monopoly w/ the chocolates it still wouldnt ring up credit.. 🙁 Oh well.

    • christina

there’s a 20% off regular priced item that was sent in my email for 11/3 Members only. Could this coupon be combined with this offer? TIA.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I noticed that certain Large boxes of Kelloggs cereals have $5 off Hasbro board game couopons on the back of the boxes (must buy $19.99 in hasbro games to use). We are selling the cereal for $2.78 this week in Cali. at Food 4 Less.

  26. Kirby Householder

I went today to get games and someone who works there had accidently left the ad out for next week. Most of the games are even cheaper next week and when you purchase $35 worth you will get a $10 gift card plus the rebates. I asked the cashier if she could mark them down now but she said no. So I will return next week!

  27. Kirby Householder

    • Casey

When does the new ad come out?

    • Candace

but do you get the chocolate games too? I think you have to take that into consideration.

  28. Kirby Householder

  29. colbibowen

  33. Heather

this was a Tuesday only unadvertised deal. I work for toys r us and the gift card deal is no longer! sorry

  34. Sarah B

I tried Scrabble and Sorry, there were no chocolate games left and no gift card. I haven’t decided if I’m going to try the rebates or just return them. It’s getting close to the time of year when I don’t want to be any where near Toys R Us 🙂

  35. Laura Strand

I bought 2 hasbro games today and got both the chocolate scrabble and monopoly but no gift card;( it is still an okay deal but I was a little bummed…

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the games but no gift card…..Still a great deal! THANKS

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hello I purchased the games and only recieved 1 chocolate game(the last one) and no gift card.Still a great deal though.

  38. Melissa Dupeyron

I went to the Clearfield store in Ut and asked about the GC since it did not ring up. One employee said they did not have any promos for a GC for purchasing Hasbro games. After a small dicussion with her another employee had heard of it but said I would need to purchase 5 Hasbro games and/or $50 worth of games in order to qualify for the GC. She Also said if you save the receipts from multiple transactions they would honor the GC promo. It apparently ends on 11-23-2010 according to the employee. Hope this helps!! 🙂

  39. jenny

i bought scrabble and battleship. I did get the 2 free “chocolate” games, but no gift card. I’m in KY.

    • coup4dummies

Same for me in Illinois, I was hoping 2 score the gift cards also 🙁

  40. Gina
