    Collin,
I could be wrong, but from the picture you have posted it says you get a $10 GC with a $75 qualifying purchase, not $35. I hope yours is right and that is not the current promo listed in the pic. Would be an outstanding deal. Also as a side note, not sure if this is everywhere or not but I was in Wal Mart today and they reduced all of their Halloween stuff 90% off! (It was still only marked at $75% so they had to manually adjust at the register, kind of a pain, but I got some cute stuff and a $10 hooded cape (that goes perfect with what I do every year although I usually use my hooded bathrobe LOL) for only $1. They had tons of cute kids costumes…. so go check yours out. I am in So. CA.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Never mind my above comment I see at the top of the page that says $10 GC with a $35 Hasbro game purchase… missed that ther first time and just focused on the big red ad for the gift card.

    • jaime d

I think at the top it says $10 GC with purchase of $35 of Hasbro games. I think its a different one for the $75. From the best I can tell from the picture! I do say its seems like an awesome deal!

    • Jacquelyn

Look at the top. Two different promos on the cover of the ad.

  2. stephanie

on the 27.5 oz box of frosted flakes theres a coupon for $5 off a purchase of a combination of hasbro games over 19.99. so another $5 off if you have this!

    • laureen

where did you find the cereal box? target? walmart? publix? giant eagle…. there’s so many place plus regional areas. I found $10 off an leapster explorer on the small boxes of banana cheerios.

      • stephanie

walmart i do believe, and im in indiana if that helps!

      • Melissa

What store did you find the leapster coupon? If you happen to have extra I’d pay the postage on it ๐Ÿ™‚

        • laureen

i didn’t get it… i was thinking about buying it. At publix… which i believe they don’t have there. I’ll check at publix and see if i can find it.

  3. Jenny

Great deal! Where do we find the rebates for the games?

  4. Amy

We’ve got $5 off $25 that we received in the mail, so $8 for 7 games. Can’t beat that!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Love the TRU deals every November…I always try to combine a gift card deal with another item on our list so I can also use the coupon for a $10 gift card wyb 75 (came on the big toy book)…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I tried this today. Although I got the games they would not honor the 10$ gift card for 75 worth of products. The 35$ games would not qualify went paired with the 75$ deal. Frustrating.

  6. Megsn

I’m a teacher and would love to get my kids games for Christmas! However, I have a question….for the rebate are you only allowed to buy one of each game? Or coukd i buy just 20 candy land and still get rebate?? Thanks for the help guys!!!

    • ann piotrowski

Rebate is one rebate per game, so if you buy 20 candy land, you would only get a rebate on one. sorry.

  7. Kathryn

Lets hope they will have some games left tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

    • momma.of5

thats what I am hoping for.

  8. Mitch

Does anyone know if you get the Hasbro deal and combine with other purchases, can you still get the $10 gift card with $75 purchase Or is there a limit on the gift cards?
    thanks
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • melissinglink

I’d like to know as well ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Lucy

I am going to try it this morning. I will report back. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Stephanie

        Worked for me ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Kristy

This looks like a good deal. Even if you dont have kids you cans till donate these games!

  10. lisa

is the rebate one where you have to cut off upc#’s?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      That’s a good question… Does anyone know?

    • hollie

I did this rebate last year and you did not have to submit UPC – just the receipt.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Not according to the online rebate form. You must submit the original receipt –no copies or gift receipts.

      • James J.

If you are a Rewards R Us member they can look up your items on the computer- so don’t worry about sending the original receipt.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The rebate form says specifically to send in the original receipt. The rebate is not processed directly at ToysRUS it is processed by a rebate processing company so they would have no way to look up the transaction by a rewards card number. You have to meet the terms exactly as listed on the rebate form or risk the submission being disqualified.

  11. Katie

Would you still get the free Chocolate Monopoly or Scrabble if you buy those as the $9.00 game?

    • Avonia

I was thinking the same thing. I can’t find any info on the max number of the choc games per purchase. My kids are too little for those games but they would be great to give away.

    • Lucy

Yes you do, at least you do at my store.

    • Katie

Be careful and read carefully, LOL. I grabbed a different Guess Who then was adveristied in the ad and was charged for the chocolate game. No big deal right, I’ll just return it. For whatever reason, TRU does not refund the whole amount! I did not realize until in the car and I did not feel like going back and fighting over it (about $1). I looked at my receipt and each game has a refund amount on it that is different then the actual paying amount. Why would they do that?!

      • ScrapGal

They are probably pro-rating the value of the gift card you received. Otherwise people would buy the games, get the gift card. then return the games and keep the gift card and make $10.

  12. theresa

you might wanna check this some ppl are saying they are not getting there rebates

    • Janet

I received mine from last year. (Although it did take awhile to get it.) If someone is worried they can always make a copy of everything they’re mailing.

    • Laurie M.

I got mine just fine last year.

    • Michelle M

Both my mom and I received our rebates last year.

  13. Christina

I’m going to talk to my husband about doing this one to donate to Toys for Tots ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. kathy

Yeah! I was hoping this deal would come back, I never made it to Toys R Us last year! REALLY great donation.

  15. Laurie M.

If you spent $75 total, and $35 of it was Hasbro games, would you get TWO $10 gift cards???

    • Sandy Osman

I did last year and yes, they gave me 2 gift cards.

    • Sarah B

I think so. Last week I bought $40 in disney movies for a $10 gc and used a coupon for a $10 gc when you spend $75 and got a $20 gc.

      • DeeDee

Why not stock up on games and get 3 $10 GC.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The fine print at the bottom of the printed ad says limit one promotional gift card per guest and on the $10/75 coupon it says not valid with any other “R” Us total transaction offer or on prior purchases so by that wording I would say no. However, I have received 2 gift cards from overlapping promotions when buying things before which contradicts that. Leave it to TRUS to make it confusing, LOL.

  16. Sandy Osman

I did the deal last year and got a bunch of games at really great prices! The rebate worked just fine, although it did take a bit to get the check.

  17. Renae @ Madame Deals

Cootie and Don’t Spill the Beans are also priced at $5 each with a $2 rebate. You could substitute those two for the $9 game. It would work out to 8 games at $1.25 each after the rebate and gift card.

    • 3pkids

do they have a sperate rebate because I think those 2 games are by Milton Bradley not Hasbro. Thanks

      • Stephanie Z

Cootie and Don’t Spill the Beans are both listed on the rebate form, so yes what Renae was saying would work.

        • Stephanie Z

but it wouldn’t work for the giftcard.

          • mommysteph82515

haha never mind that I think it would work for the giftcard – Milton Bradley was taken over by Hasbro – they are the same company.

    • Heidi

I just did this. Paid $36 – will get $16 in rebates, plus the $10 gift card. I was able to get 8 different games that all work for the rebate.

  18. stephanie

hey collin! jut o ya know, most of the games on the bottom half are milton bradley, making them non-elidgable for the $10 giftcard for purchasing $35 of hasbro, just a heads up!

    • Rachel

Milton Bradley makes the Hasbro games. They ARE eligible!

  19. Kathy

@ Stephanie and 3pkids, I was confused w/ the whole Milton Bradley/Hasbro thing last year, but they were on the rebate form, apparently they are the same company.

I remember an issue last yr w/ the total and cpns, not sure what. Anybody know? I ask because I have a $5 cpn on some of the higher priced games (came in card games), but am thinking they didn’t give the GC unless it was the amt after cpns. Anybody know? I did get the rebate once in the past fine, but not the other time, FYI.

    • stephanie

great! thanks so much for clearing that up for me!

  20. Cynthia Brunet

We have a Toys R us Outlet that just opened by us. Think it is good there too?

    • melissinglink

I would give them a call.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, I was at the oulet store last month. They do not carry the same toys. They sell last years toys.

  21. Julie W

Does this stack? Meaning if I get 4 of everything would I get 4 giftcards? or do I have to do this in seperate transactions? Does it go along with the $75? If I bought the game deal and the Leapfrog Tag in one transaction (putting me over $75) would I get both gift cards? Is the rebate one per person? per family? per address?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You would only be able to get one rebate. The terms are printed on the rebate form on the TRUS website. “LIMIT ONE REBATE per GAME per HOUSEHOLD and LIMIT ONE REBATE CHECK issued per family, household or address.”

  22. Suzie

They have their Zhu Zhu pets 50% off too today online & in store.. The battle arena thing too! I got it and 2 pets for $19, the arena sells for $24-$29 by itself usually. And it was DS number #1 thing for christmas he wanted.. WOOHOO

  23. Amy H.

Dang, I bought several Hasbro games at TRU last month when they had the board game trade in deal thing. I think this actually looks like a better deal. I am thinking about picking up some games for my kids’ classrooms as gifts for their teachers- they need games for when they have indoor recess.

  24. Emma Grace

If I bought 3 whole sets of games , putting me over 75.00, would I get 4 giftcards back??

  25. stelena

Where can I find a rebate form?

    • Suzie

in store in the game isles

  26. Krystal

Has anybody gone yet and had it work? Just wanted to double check before I go.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was just at Toys R Us and it worked! Not only that, but I got the slightly more expensive regular Trouble game and got a free Chocolate Monopoly game!

      • nicci

where did you find the chocolate games? I didn’t see them anywhere and I definitely didn’t get any free ones! Boo! Also, my Don’t Break the Ice and Ants in the Pants rang up at 8.99! I’m going to have to return them….dang it

    • Krystal

Okay I just got back. I got Ants in the Pants, Don’t Break the Ice, Connect Four, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Memory, Hi Ho Cherry-O, and the Chocolate Monopoly for $36.99 before tax. I got the gift card and I plan to submit for the rebate. The check-out girl sent me all over the store trying to find the chocolate games. Finally I caught this girl coming out of the bathroom who said she worked there and was on break, but still helped me. She said the games were at the front by the popcorn tins, and there they were!

      • momma.of5

they were at the service desk at my store.

  27. Kathy

According to their Great Big Christmas book (valid until 11/24), you get a free chocolate monopoly or scrabble game when you buy Life, scrabble, Guess Who, Momopoly, Connect 4, Battleship, Twister, Operation or Trouble. Does anybody know if the free choc games count towards the $35 total for the gift card?? That would be sweet!! Regardless, though, if you are buying one of these games, you might as well add the free choc game!

  28. Carolyn H.

If you get all $5 and $3 games like Collin mentioned but instead of the $9 junior games (which I don’t believe you can get the free chocolate game with), get one of the other 10.99 games mentioned in the TRU Great Christmas Book, like Battleship giving you a $3 rebate, you will also get the free chocolate monopoly or scrabble. So you will pay $36.99 +tax OOP but get back $15 in rebates and $10 GC, making it $1.50 per game!!

  29. Christine

I think the rebate would be $15.00 if you purchased the games in your scenerio would it not? Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, Ants in the Pants, Don’t Break the Ice, Memory, and Hi Ho Cherrio would be $2 each thats 6 games which would be $12 and then when you purchase either Trouble, Scrabble, or Monopoly it would be another $3 making the total rebate $15

  30. Kathy

@Emma Grace, I don’t think you can get all games and get 4 gift cards, because it is worded limit one.
Anybody who got the choc games, did they add in for the $35 total needed for the Gift card? Thanks all!!??

    • Lucy

Yes they did ad it to the $35. Wish I had known it before I bought all that. ๐Ÿ™‚

  31. Lucy

I just got home from doing this deal. Here is my transaction, though it was a hassle because I originally got a few of the wrong games. Warning: do not get the games that are associated with disney/nick characters. The deal is on the regular games, ie regular memory not the character memory. Caused all sorts of trouble.

    Transaction:
    1 Toy Story 3 Blu ray/DVD combo $34.99
1 Toy Story 3 Clock FREE
1 Disney Sing Along DVD $9.99
1 Ant in the Pants $5.00
    1 Break the Ice $5.00
    1 Chutes and Ladders $3.00
    1 Candy Land $3.00
    1 Memory $5.00
    1 Hi Ho Cherrio $5.00
    1 Scrabble Game $10.99
(Only the scrabble Jr was $9 and its not on the rebate form)
    1 Chocolate Scrabble Game FREE
(This did count towards my $35 for the free gift card. I didn’t realize this till after but you could make it an even better deal if you use it towards the GC and then it will reduce to free when they total your order)

    Total before promotions $81.97
    – $5 Preorder for TS3 – 5.00
    – $5 Coupon $5/$75 – 5.00
    – $8 TS3 coupon – 8.00

Total after coupons $63.97 (This is what I paid)
I got back a $30 GC and should get $15 MIR from the games

So after all rebates, GC etc, I will have gotten all that for $18.97. (I hope my math is right on this)

    • Lucy

Oops did that wrong. I paid $68.97. The buy $75 get a $10 GC was the promo instead of the $5/$75. So I paid $68.97 and all said and done will get all the above for $23.97. (I knew there was a mistake in there somewhere.)

    • Krystal

On the rebate form it says All Versions for the Memory Game. I picked up the character version because it said that. We’ll see what happens I guess.

      • Lucy

Yes, you will get the rebate but the other character ones at my store rang up at $9.99 so check you receipt to make sure you didn’t get charged too much. The regular memory game was $5 on sale.

  32. Jacque

Just got back from TRU. I scored the game deal! I got 8 games all for $36, so I’ll get back $16 in rebates & got my $10 TRU gift card. Only $10 for all 8 games! (Instead of the $9 game, we got 2 of the $5 instead.) I’m having my girls donate these toys this Christmas to needy kids to help them learn about giving rather than receiving this holiday.
We were able to pick up enough other items to hit the $75 ($2.49 DVDs, $3.99 20pk batteries, $.98 Moon Sand, etc) & scored another $10 gift card.

    • Carolyn H.

I was trying to figure out what else to get to get to the $75 mark… Do you mind telling me what you got, like how did you get $0.98 moon sand?

      • Jacque

The moon sand was on clearance up by the registers at my store in KS. It was just the little 3 packs, we are using these in gift packs for a kids charity & stocking stuffers. We got the DVDs that were marked $4.99 that were 50% off today. The aren’t awesome movies, but they will be great kid gifts for friends. I think we got 4 of these. We also got some ZhuZhu stuff that was 50% off. Just basically looked around the store & picked up enough small things that it was worth it to grab a few more to hit the $75. My store had a lot of clearance stuff too, lots of great stocking stuffer things up at the registers.

  33. Kristy

I just got back from toys r us ( ran into a fellow hip2saver… always nice to see one)

    I think I did pretty good considering.lol

  34. Olivia Smith

Nice- what a perfect deal. I will be sure to get in on this one and give a few games to my nephews and nieces and donate the rest to Toys for Tots!

  35. Debbie

I definitely need to head over there and get in on this deal!

  36. SAHMinCambridge

Just got back from TRU. They already sold out of the chocolate games, I bought 8 games, TS3 combo pack, wall clock, and Incredibles DVD. After $30 in gc, $16 MIR rebate and 10% cashback from TRU I paid $35 OOP, that’s was fun! I would suggest going ASAP our huge TRU already sold out of so many games.

    • Kristy

I forgot about the 10% back!! Do you remember how we get that? Is that a check or something we have to spend again at Toys R US?

  37. Kimmy

    • Jacque

This is really from your receipt? You were able to get these to hit the $35 based on regular price not on the sale price/price you paid? How is that possible???

    • Sarah B

I’d love to see a receipt or something, because I can’t see how these are adding up.

It looks like for Trans #1 you should be paying $21+tax oop, and you could get $12 back in rebates, if you are really getting the gc for this I’d love to pick up these games for my boys. I’m just a little chicken to try it when I don’t really understand how it’s working. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • momma.of5

so did you use your gc for the next transaction? I tried doing that the other day when I went and they said my card won’t activate for at least an hour after getting it so I couldn’t….BUT I will be using it when I go for this deal!

  38. J

    jole zcvnbmjhgfdssaa

  39. Stephanie

I was able to get all the games listed plus that huge crane they have on display all free with a $17 money maker after all my coupons, discounts, gift cards, and rebates. I actually thought $8 for 7 games was too expensive. lol
I’m very strict with my couponing ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Whitney

That’s amazing Stephanie! How did you do it?

      • Mindy

Please share how you did that : )

        • Stephanie

I bought the games from Collin’s first scenario and added the crane to it for $39.99 bringing my total to $75. Used the spend $75 get $10 gift card to get a gift card. Used $50 in gift cards from previous deals to pay. Paid $15 out of pocket including tax got (2) $10 gift cards plus $12 rebate.

  40. Amanda

How much is the chocolate games counting for? What is their original price? Thanks!

  41. Tina Seymour

ok I am hoping someone can answer this for me right away as I am checking out at toys r us online as I type this. I ordered $44 in games… and actually ordered over $100 online. Got my free shipping, but there is nothing on there about the chocolate monopoly/scrabble game or the 1 or 2 free gift cards. Am I eligible for this online as well?? I am no where near a Toys R Us and would love to get in on this deal too!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It is in-store only for the gift cards.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Gift card promos are usually for in store purchases only. To get the free chocolate games you would have to add them to your cart.

  42. SAHMinCambridge

D’oh! I totally forgot it’s based on pre sale price, that’s the way it was set up last year too. I knew I was missing something when I was adding it all up. Lesson learned, don’t try doing any deals with a 4 year old, 2 year old and 2 month old..in TRU of all places! hehehe, it was still fun!

  43. Michelle

I just looked at my local ad and they do not have the same deals on the Hasbro games. They DO have the free Chocolate games with purchase, but they do not have the cheap $1 and $3 game deals. From the looks of it, it seems that this deal is dependent upon your area. Does anyone have any comments? Am I looking in the wrong place? My zip code is 84321.

    • Michelle

Nevermind, I was looking at the BIG toy book, not my weekly ad. Sorry

  44. Laurie M.

I did 3 $9 games (Scrabble Jr., Monopoly Jr., and R2D2 Trouble), but then I realized they donโ€™t have a rebate. Oops! But my kids are beyond Cootie, Donโ€™t break the Ice and other similar games. I did get a Candyland and Hi Ho! Cherry-O to make my total $35 and Iโ€™ll give them as gifts. So I got the $10 gift card and will get a $4 rebate making my total oop $21. Still a great deal. Thanks!
