$20 Drugstore.com Voucher for only $10
UPDATE: Sorry for the confusion surrounding this deal. Apparently, you will receive free shipping if you spend $25 or more at drugstore.com so you will end up spending $15 out of pocket to snag the free shipping ($10 voucher + $5 of extra products). Personally, I think this was a very poorly written offer that implied you would receive free shipping with the $20 e-card and I will likely not highlight Tada again.
Wow! Here’s yet another daily deal site similar to Groupon with a great Drugstore.com offer! Today only, head on over to Tada.com to snag a $20 Drugstore.com e-card for only $10 plus free shipping if your order totals $25 or more!! With an extensive supply of household products, toys and games, and green and natural products, you can shop for all your essentials at drugstore.com.
To get in on today’s Tada offer, head on over here, click on the “Get It” button and create an account, and enter your payment info. You’ll pay only $10 for a $20 e-gift card that will be emailed to you on or before November 11, 2010 (limit 1 e-card per household). Keep in mind that you will need to add at least $20 worth of drugstore.com products, not including shipping or tax, to your cart in order to use this e-card.
Fine Print:
* Must be redeemed on drugstore.com by February 6, 2011.
* May only be used on drugstore.com products, excludes Beauty.com items, gift cards, gift certificates, contact lenses and prescriptions.
* Entire $20 credit may be used one-time only. The value of your entire cart must be $20 or more for your credit to appear.
• Only one $20 e-gift card can be used per order.
• Cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions such as other gift cards, gift certificates, promotional codes, or promotional links (with the exception of free shipping).
(Thanks, Coupons on Caffeine!)
Has anyone used Tada.com? Is it legit? Not that I think Collin would be posting something shady! 🙂
I’m a little confused by the free shipping. I bought one of these but I wonder if the free shipping is for the gift card (which is just and email basically). I bought one so I’ll see what happens.
This is perfect timing! I’ve been looking for a way to save money on prenatal vitamins!
I’m not sure of the prices there, but I have bought prenatals BOGO at CVS (which if you have ECB’s you have made money with it can be even cheaper) and I have seen Walmart selling them pretty cheap too. I would check out the prices on drugstore.com to see how it compares (I purchased 200 days of vitamins for $10 at CVS with the sale, and then I saw it somewhere, I think Walmart, for that price as a regular price.) They may not have them for that price anymore, but I thought I would tell you just in case.
If you have access to a Schnucks store, they offer most of their prenatal vitamins for free with a physician prescription.
Lol, I have never heard of Schnucks store, so I read Schmucks Store, and I was like gee, that’s not nice…
Meijer has them for free too (in Ohio).
yep.meijer…i used them throughout my entire pregnancy…can’t beat free!! lol
I’m trying to clarify if that means free shipping on the Tada purchase, or the drugstore.com purchase when we redeem our credit. It appears to only be mentioned in the top part where the listing information is. Thoughts?
Wondering the same thing. I was hoping they would have a paypal option, I don’t like to use my credit card at a site I’ve never heard of. I might pass on this one.
Paypal is offering this same deal, I got this e-mail today
PayPal customers will receive $10 off a purchase of $20 or more at drugstore.com, excluding tax and shipping (“Offer”). Offer begins on November 9, 2010 and ends on November 24, 2010. The discounted amount will be subtracted from your subtotal product purchase at time of checkout. Offer limited to one per PayPal account.
In order to receive this Offer you must: a) have a U.S. PayPal account in good standing, b) receive an email from PayPal or drugstore.com inviting you to participate in the Offer, and c) complete a purchase at drugstore.com during the promotional period using PayPal.
shipping is free w/ $25 purchase
If it’s anything like the Groupon for Soap.com (Which also read $20 for $10 with free shipping) you get free shipping with that code as well as the $10 off. It says on the site “Free shipping with a purchase of $25”, but when you use the code, you get free shipping with your $20 purchase.
I’m new to these types of sites and am really confused. I bought the Build A Bear Groupon that was mentioned on this site a few days ago, but never got any email. How do I redeem it?
go back to your Groupon.com, sign in to your account, and you should be able to access a link to YOUR GROUPONS that were purchased and print it from there. We bought one and already used it. 🙂 Good luck…hope you find it.
Hmm, I receive an email from Groupon when I’ve bought something. Do this. Go to Groupon.com and sign in to your account. To the right of your name after you sign in, there should be a box “My Stuff”. Click on that box and it will list your Groupons purchased. Hope that helps!
I actually received an email directly from drugstore.com this morning that allows me to save $10 off a $20 purchase….so I wouldn’t even need to go through TADA. However, there is no code that I can share, its just an email that I can click through. Just thinking if you have purchased from them before you may have received the same email…
oooh but it does say you have to pay with paypal…
I just saw this, too! I wonder if there is any way to combine this…maybe if you purchase $30 originally, you could go through the link, use your voucher, then pay the balance with paypal to get $30 worth of products for $10…? I don’t know, but I’m definitely going to try it 🙂
Oh, I just read “cannot be combined with other promotions” bummer
I just LOVE these deals! – – and with the free ship….you can’t pass this one up!
Okay, just signed up for this one but somehow felt a little bit odd after typing in my credit card number. Has anyone used this company before? Just hoping it’s legit – not to doubt Collin.
Just something about the way it asked for the credit card info struck me as odd — so fast.
I just tried to check out with TADA and it said the shipping was FREE with my total ecard purchase. I am not really sure if you would be getting FREE shipping with your future order with the 20.00 ecard. Not trying to question Collin or anything just want to make sure it really is free shipping before I jump on this.
Have checked out the tada discussions, and the shipping for drugstore.com is not free — shipping is free only if you at $25 for a first-time user and close to $50 for repeat users.
Tada just posted eligibility on free shipping:
https://www.drugstore.com/everyday-free-shipping/qxc33474
Ann is right the free shipping is for the e-card. If you check the shipping & returns tab on the tada site it says “Shipping for Today’s TaDa is free! It’s an “electronic gift card” after all.”
I think I gathered the same as you. YOu do not get free shipping from the drugstore.com unless you meet their other eligibility requirements ($49 order, or free shipping item bought). Bummer!
Thanks!!
I’m having my second child in March, I can’t believe how much baby stuff cost.
This will be great for Baby rash cream.
If you have a flex spending card, you can buy a lot of baby neccessities with it (i.e. Tylenol, ibuprofen, diaper rash cream) but you have to do it before the end of the year because the law changes on Jan 1!
I just bought one, darn!

I don’t think this is correct either. The free shipping with $25 is only for new customers. Existing drugstore.com customers need to spend $49 to get free shipping. I do appreciate your blog but I think you should make sure of the terms of offers before you post them–or at least point out where you are unsure and let readers do their own research.
Thank you for checking into it Collin! I agree that it was a poorly written offer and they didn’t answer people’s questions very clearly either.
I agree, Collin! I went to their site just to see how it is worded and it is very misleading on their part.
Hi All! This is Alex from TaDa.com.
I am genuinely sorry for all of this “free shipping” confusion! @Anne has it correct. The free standard shipping is with orders $25 or more and only applies to new customers to drugstore.com. Existing drugstore.com customers need to spend $49 to get free standard shipping.
Unfortunately, the shipping policies are not TaDa shipping policies, and drugstore.com manages all of the shipping and sales of their products. We go out and try to get you the best deals we can. Today that meant 50% off of the e-certificate,
Hope that clarifies some things! Thanks for your interest and support.
What’s confusing about it to me and maybe others is that an e-certificate is not “shipped.” So the “free shipping” wording would seem to apply to the tangible drugstore.com products because it doesn’t make sense to apply it to the intangible e-certificate. Maybe changing this wording to “free e-delivery” or “no TaDa service fees” or something would avoid this confusion in the future.
Well, Hi Alex at TaDa, I bought one of these this morning and won’t use your service again. First of all anyone would assume that the “free shipping” was for the Drugstore.com product because ..come on..who ever pays shipping on an ecard, very misleading.
I read it and bought one this morning. Fully read the terms and understood that the free shipping was not meant for the purchase on Drugstore.com, rather for the gift card. Yeah, it doesn’t make much sense to advertise that an e-gift card has free shipping, but I don’t think it was confusing.
I agree with Collin. It’s very poorly written. The ad says “Shipping for Today’s TaDa is free!” Oh, well… I called and canceled. It was easy to do.
me too. the guy was very nice. glad you mentioned about cancelling. I didn’t even consider that. shipping can swallow up all of the savings.
Hi Anne, Judy, and Jess. Thank you for your feedback. We are a new site and still working out the kinks. Each week we offer a different product/sale and “free shipping” shows up automatically for those products/sales where we take care of the shipping. We realize now that this is confusing for e-gift cards and will work to correct it for our next e-gift card sale. It was never our intention to mislead anyone. We genuinely appreciate customer reviews since it helps make us better! Our goal is to bring great products and sales to customers and we sincerely hope for the chance to bring you back for that in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for responding. That’s a good start. Wish you the best of luck. Live and learn.
I agree with Judy; thank you for coming here and being honest. I have a lot of respect for a new company that owns up to their mistakes. Every company goes through growing pains; some of them try to cover them up and some of them, like TaDa, owns up to them. I’ll give TaDa a second chance since they were so easy to work with when I wanted to cancel my order and because they see that their verbage wasn’t clear and are committing to changing that in the future.
I just received an email today from Pay Pal offering me $10 off a $20 purchase at Drugstore.com ……plus I got free shipping on my order of $25 or more (because I am a “new” customer – not my first order with them …….I did the 7th Generation and the free sample bag posted a while back – but it was my 2nd order) So if you have a Pay Pal account and have only shopped with Drugstore.com once before, you may also see this special offer
I just called to cancel my order cause as a previous drugstore.com customer I would have to spend $49 to get the extra shipping. They cancelled it without any problems (I hope!) Collin, as a busy mom you could not possibly search through every single solitary detail, I think that it’s our job to read all the fine print before ordering. I think your site rocks, so thank you!
well said! I totally agree! 🙂
Well this stinks. I bought one this morning…but to spend $49 because I am not a new customer?? SKIP THAT! I am asking for a refund as well and will not shop TADA again.
Just got off the phone with TADA…girl was real nice…said she would cancel and make sure I’m not charged.
Well, I have bought into this as well, now I see the shipping issue changed since morning. But… isn’t there some kind of free shipping deal for some online stores including TRU and BRU? Similar to Amazon prime? Free trial on that for first month – you have to call to get it canceled? I just kind of remember that drugstore.com MIGHT have been included in those stores listed? Anybody can confirm without me looking? ;-D I am not sure if that would be combinable though… my guess is yes – that should be shipping for repeated customers – even with just 20-dollar order – in my opinion.
Check your accounts! I bought one (it is only one per household, anyway) and have been charged for two!
Yup… Me and my friend both got double charged too!!!!! Bad Business for sure!

I was ready to stock up on some Dr. Bronner’s liquid soaps because they aren’t antibacterial and now I’ll be able to refill my foaming hand soap pumper for years (maybe). Thanks for the deal! My cart also had some free samples as well as the biokleen sample bag…got it all for $40 total.
Got in on this and didn’t check back until today when I got my voucher. I tried to cancel the order as others appear to have done successfully and this was the response:
Thanks for contacting TaDa Customer Service. We unfortunately will not be able to refund the drugstore.com gift cards. For more details, you can visit the Shipping and Returns section of the TaDa website. We apologize for any confusion the “Free Shipping” may have caused and we hope you will be able to participate in our future deals.
I understand these things happen when you’re starting a business, but to not issue a return when you’re partly to blame is bad business. If a return had been issued, I probably would have “participated in future deals”. I’ll be sticking with Groupon. Between the inconsistency and the double charges, Collin is right about not featuring this company again.
