IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA I BOUGHT ONE BUT THERE WERE MORE THAN PLENTY FOR 19.98. THEY ACCEPTED BOTH COUPONS AND I ONLY SPEND $5!!! WHAT A GREAT DEAL. MY DAUGHTER ABSOLUTELY LOVES TOY STORY!

    • sherri

would you mind giving me the zip for that store? I got one in 92124 and I have a gazillion targets around. It was 27.99 (still bought bc it was a good price and didn’t want to miss out) but would like to get one more at the 19.99 🙂 of course, for a bday gift. I have tried 2 other stores and they are empty.

  2. Jennifer

I just got one (there was only one left) for under $5!! It was on sale for $19.98 and I got to use both coupons. The cashier had to put the $10 one in manually, but she did it!! Yeah

  3. Kari

IF YOU GUYS STILL HAVE TROPICANA REWARDS LEFT, YOU CAN PRINT A COUPON FOR $5.00/2 TAG OR TAG JR. BOOKS!!!! 😀

    • Jessica

Thanks just did it! Now to find a reader 🙂 I saw the books on sale at shopko I think for 7.99 this week!

  4. Jessica

If anyone has or has access to getting an extra my daughter REALLY wants one for Christmas! I would pay for shipping +! We have none here that we can find!
    TIA!

Target in The Colony, TX had nearly 10 on the self for $27.98, so @ $13.00 with coupons and no problems at the register. I bought one for my nephew.

  6. Heather

hey awesome that i go the last one – a few things though:
    1. yes on clearance for $19.98
    2. coupon for $10 off is only for tag NOT tag jr – states the manager and also on coupon.
    3. coupon for $5 off is only for tag NOT tage jr – which was stated on coupon

no worries! great girt for my son’s next bday! yay!

Remember everyone…you can still get a greal deal on these on Black Friday if you are willing to brave the crowds. First check your stocking stuffer section for the Christmas stocking stuffer tag book selling for $4.99. On the cover is a $5 peelie Target Q off of tag junior that does not expire until 4/11. Then go on black friday to pick up your regular tag junior for $17.49 and use the $5 target Q to still get it for $12. At BOTH my targets I found the stocking stuffer tag book and every single one had the target Q on the front. These books were with the STOCKING STUFFERS, NOT the leapfrog aisle. Happy Shopping!!
I wouldn’t get too worked up about the toy story edition. I did manage to get a TS3 bundle, but from what i have read online, it is not a full book that is included, just a few pages, so NOT a $13.99 value unfortunately. I found that in the reviews on amazon… I will admit the alien reader is pretty cute though!!!

    • akhilagautha

i had the same problem the store did not accept the target coupon so i could not buy it,i felt awfull as they had about 10 pieces..

      • Kim

If you can’t use the $10 target Q, use the $5 target Q peelie specifically for the tag junior on the stocking stuffer Christmas tag junior book.

  7. Krystal

Thank you so much for this deal!!! I found one on the shelf in my local Target. The coupon beeped but my cashier pushed it through. What a great, cheap gift for my son!

  8. LIsabella

My Target still had them for 27.98. The $5 off was no problem, the $10 beeped. The supervisor on duty looked at them both and remarked they said the exact same thing. It made no sense that one would work and the other would not, so they put it through for the $12.xx.

  9. Laura

I went to one Target and the didn’t have any, so I drove to the other side of town and found one! Well they actually had 2 but I just grabbed one. They scanned my $10 coupon and it didn’t go thru and the cashier said I didn’t buy the right product. She called the manager over who told me the coupon was for a different system and that “the same thing happened earlier with another customer” and they wouldn’t accept it. So I didn’t get to buy it 🙁 I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t push it through after I’d stood in a horrible line with my toddler and my swollen feet being nearly 8 months pregnant. Ugh. And I bought a bunch of other high priced toys too in that transaction so it wasn’t like I was just trying to get a toy for nothing.

  10. Rebecca Lopez

Got one and they still had several left, I might go back to buy one for our nephew for christmas!

  11. Creolegyrl

Found one for my Christmas Eve baby! Thanks for the heads up on the stocking stuffer book.

  12. Creolegyrl

I was able to request a free Tag Jr. book on the Leap Frog site.

    • Kim

Creolegyrl – How did you do that? CAn you post a link?

  13. Risa

I bought two in Phoenix, Arizona.

  14. Tomec

Hello All, I ama located in Atlanta, Ga and I have called and visited a couple of Targets and they are still marked for $44.99. So, if there is anyone in Metro Atlanta and you’ve found the deal can you post possible locations. Thanks.

  15. Jess

In Jackson, Mi… Just wanted to let you guys know.. none in clearance. Regular prices are $29.00 Tag Junior and $39.00 Tag. (I tried to buy a regular priced Tag Junior… and they would not push the coupons through.) So no luck for me… but so awesome for the rest of you guys!

  16. Carlene

Got the last one at my store today!
    Thanks again Collin

  17. Rachel

I called and went to 4 stores in Salt Lake Valley, but couldn’t find the “Tag Jr TS3” bundle. Ended up getting just the “Tag TS3” bundle for $25 (regularly $45). Plus the Tag system will work for both types of books. It comes with a book and a TS3 workbook. Holding onto the receipt in case I find a better deal. Although after all the time I put into trying to find a better deal, I think I’m content with the deal I got.

  18. Jamie

I got one!!! Im so excited! Thanks so much for posting!

  19. Jessica

Please if anyone finds them and can get an extra I will pay + shipping + some!!! My daughter really wants one! Thanks so much!!!

I went to target and did a price match against the toys r us toy book price of $29.99 which they honored. Then I used the Target coupon for $10 off. Final price $19.99. Happy shopping!

  21. shopaholicmom

ps this was for regular tag not TS3 tag.

  22. Kelly

We don’t have any of the Tag products. We have a very limited Christmas budget this year and 4 boys ages 2-8. I am planning on going to look tomorrow at our other Target for the Tag Jr for my 2 yr old (my main Target didn’t have one). My main question is do your 2 year old really play with theirs? We don’t have money to buy something and then it not get used. The other Target has the worst clearance available so it would probably be the $28 one.

  23. Lana

None at out local Target in Alaska, but went to Fred Meyers who had them on sale for $27.99 and ended up paying $12.99! got to love stores that match other stores coupons!!

  24. Ronda

The Target website says this item is only available online, not in stores. Haven’t seen it in my store at all.

  25. Ginger

We just bought two at the Mission,KS store. The cashier hassled my husband over the Leapfrog coupons but ultimately she pushed them through. We now have one for our daughter for Christmas and a great gift for the Toys for Tots box!!

  26. Risa

To save you a trip to the store. Call your store first and ask them to look up the DPCI#: 204-04-0047. After looking up the number, they can tell you how many they have in stock and the clearanced price.

  27. Dagmara Sterbinsky

I went last night and the new cashier told me it had to be the one pictured so I left. I am going back today to try with someone else so hopefully this cashier pushes it through. I don’t know what’s so hard about hitting that accept key. All the coupons are always beeping when I go and they always push them through but not this one for some reason. I really didn’t HAVE to have it, but it would have been a nice gift for my nephews. (In Socal)

  28. DuncanMomof2

I have 2 Tag books for the regular tag if anyone is interested in buying them. I am selling (2) new unused books in the original casing for $5 each with shipping included. the books are Ben 10 and Star Wars.

  29. jesse

i found it here in bristow, va last week! hoping to go find another one for toys for tots tonight. lol…can you tell i need a break?

  30. Jessica

you can price match the TRU christmas book for the regular tag 29.99 then use both coupons making it 15… not too bad! then on the 2 day black friday target sale go back in and have them adjust it down to the 24.99 since its within the 2 week period of time! that way you only pay $10!

    • MommySpendsLess

I believe Target price matches AFTER the application of their store coupon.

  31. melissa

How come I’m reading on the coupons for the Tag in the fine print it says “this offer may not be combined with any other offers or discounts”? Just sayin? I was totally gonna try it & happened to receive that free Tag book offer in the mail today & got a coupon with it too for $5 off as well as the on-line one & they both have that in the fine print.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just found one today!!!! The clearance sticker said $27.98 but it rang up $19.98 I had a $3 off manu+ $10 off target q

There is one more at the super target in aurora co. (across from the mall)

  33. chicagogirl

where on the Leapfrog website, is the $5 MC located? I can not find it anywhere. Thanks

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can’t print to leapfrog $5 coupon..I have tried for many days now and the link keeps saying error….any suggestions???

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The leapfron manu coupon expired on Nov. 18. Probably why the link is no longer working.

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to Target yesterday 11/21 and gave the cashier a web print out from Walmart for $29.54, the cashier did a price match from @ 39.99, then gave her the $10 off/in store coupon, that brought it down to $19.99 for a pink tag pen.
I then bought 2 tag books for BOGO for 9.99, gave her a $5 leap frog manufacturer coupon and got 2 books for $4.99 do in total a tag pen and 2 books $24.99

  37. kayla

When does the on line target coupon expire for the Leapfrog Tag?

  38. Traci

I have 4 of these that if anyone wants to pay me the $4.98 plus the cost of shipping I will gladly send one to you.
