we tried to do that @ our Target the other day & they would not let us use the $10 off coupon since the coupon is not for the Tag Jr.

    • carolina

Me too, I tried to do that yesterday and they told me the coupons are for the regular Tag, not the Tag Jr.

  2. Paige

I got this on clearance a week ago at Target at the Manahawkin, NJ store marked down to $27.99 and was able to stack the $5.00 off manufacterer’s coupon and the $10.00 off store coupon (after approval from the customer service person) for pretty good deal of $12.99. I was excited anyway since this usually retails for $39.99. A good score for Christmas gift!

  3. Sarah B

I found this the other day and I bought it with the $10 coupon to get it for $9.98 then 2 days later I got a $5 off coupon in the mail so I went back in and they honored my coupon and gave me $5 cash back!! Very excited to get it for only $4.98. Wish I could find more for all of my nieces and nephews- I have 20! My husband is from a family of 11 and I am from a family of 7! This would be such a great gift!

  4. sartman

Great deal.. I so want this for my grandson.

  5. melissa

our store in silverdale, wa doesnt have the toy story tag jr but they do have the reg toy story tag set and both it and the reg tag + tag jrs are on sale so i got 2 TS Tag sets for 20$ each so less than the price of one originally. I was only planning on buying one for my youngest since my oldest has a reg tag (non TS) but i figured this will cut back on the fighting. 🙂

    $29.98 in the Boise/Meridian stores

  7. Laurie M.

Is this really for ages 2-4? Would it be too babyish for a 5-year old?

    • Shana

yes, in my opinion it is; I bought the regular tag for my 3 1/2 year old this Christmas who already had the Tag Jr… she’s already too advanced for it.

      • angie

do you think the book is too babyish or the reader my son is 4 but loves Toy Story. Would the reader work on other books not Tag JR?

        • Annette

Angie- the regular Tag will read Tag Jr. books, but the Tag Jr. only reads Tag Jr. books. In my opinion, the Toy Story 3 Tag Jr. book is worth the $4.98 alone.

        • kim

Angie- I’d agree with Annette – If you can get the set for less than $10, I’d say it’s worth it. The Toy Story book is really fun.

      • Janie

What do you mean by “too advanced for it”? Did she just get bored with it? I just bought a Tag Jr for my 3 yr old son a month ago and he *loves* it, plays with it all the time. Do the kids get tired of them quickly? Now I’m worried! 🙁

        • Christine

I think she is just saying that it isnt advanced enough for a 5 yearold. We got one for our two year old lastyear and he loved it. But I could agree that my five yearold who is reading stage one books wouldnt be interested in it.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How do you stack 2 coupons? Both say ‘not valid with other offers?’ I’m going to see if they have this today, we’ll give it a try!

    • Lisa

You can stack 1 Target coupon with a Manufacture coupon.

  9. Hilary

This would be way too babyish for a five year old. Our daughter never used the Jr. We got her a regular Tag for her 3rd birthday and she still uses it, all the time, a year later.

    • tilla ham

here too, we got her tag when she was 2.5..no tag jr…but all of my kids are readers and all 4 of them were reading chapter books before kindergarten…for other children, this may work til 4 or 5

  10. kate

I found this at my Target in westminster Colorado on clearance for $27.99, they had no problem stacking coupons!! They had a bunch of them so I will go see if they have marked them down even further!!

    • Rachel

Thanks, that is the closest one to me so I guess I will give it a few days and then try.

      • Lindsey

I tried in Arvada and no such luck. Guess I am off to Wesminster!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Mine had it for $39.99! They also said it was on price cut for that price! Even with a price cut I think it is high.

  12. Crissy

My Target in Fort Worth, TX didn’t have any of the Toy Story tag jr…only tag. I think it was on sale for $30.

  13. Julie

I’m going to check my Target today. I’m sure hoping they will have some!

  14. ashley

I have seen them in various targets in Utah (Layton, American Fork, South Jordan) and they have had quite a few marked down to 19.99. I bought one last week for 9.99. Not sure if they’ll let you stack them, but its so worth a try. Still a great deal at 9.99 if not!

    • PatriciaThomason

I tried Layton today and it wasn’t even there at all. I couldn’t even see a sign posted for it. But they get deliveries every day, so I’ll keep trying!

  15. CMG

I can’t figure out how to get the anufacturer’s coupon. Any advice?

  16. Katie

Our Target still has them for $27.98 right now so I’m going to keep checking this week…have my coupons printed and ready to go 🙂 Thanks for the heads up!

  17. aw

Nice, but I have older kids like 9 and 11. Don’t what to get them for xmas that are inexpensive, that they will like.

    • Jessica D

Do you have girls or boys? If you have girls (like I do), I’d suggest checking out Justice. They frequently offer 40% everything and their sales are pretty good. They sell room decor, stocking stuffers, earrings, etc, in addition to clothing. My 9 yr old niece put ALL things Justice on her list and my oldest daughter still wants stuff from there (and she’s now 12). If you have boys, someone else will have to comment because I am a mom to all girls and I have no idea what boys like 🙂

      • Marcee

I have 4 boys and my boys like Legos… which the Harry Potter Legos are on sale next week (week of 11/14) for B1G1 50% off and there is a $5/1 target coupon you can print! My oldest is 10, almost 11 and LOVES legos… and Harry Potter. I only have 1 girl and she is 18 months, so I am on the opposite side of Lisa with all girls… any ideas for baby girls? I SO don’t knwo what to buy! 🙂

        • Marcee

OOps, I mean Jessica! Sorry! 🙂

          • Melody

My 19 month old daughter loves her dora minivan that she inherited from her older sister and can put in and out little dora figures…It’s an old toy, but maybe something with wheels that she can put things into and out of? Also she LOVES the Zhu Zhus by themselves. Runs into my 5 yr old daughter’s room and steals them sometimes! I think Target has them for around $6 right now and Justice always gets them on clearance and/or with coupons. Oh, and there’s ALWAYS the pillow pets. They ALL love them and I noticed Walgreens and CVS carries them, so possibly you can use a coupon or register reward to get them for less?

Also my daughter is obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba and Mickey Mouse anything. But yours might like other characters. Little people are a good choice too. Anything small and plastic. HTHs! Hit me up if you need any other help!

  18. Tiphanie

I bought it 2 weeks ago for $19.97. I didnt try to use any coupons. Thought it was a great deal. Got it for my daughter for her 2nd bday. She doesnt care for it too much.

  19. rose

i tried to do this deal yesterday at my target. but they would not honor either of the coupons, the customer service desk lady and the manager said it was for the regular tag book and not the Jr tag. i wanted this for my twin girls i was so sad they would not let me use the coupons.

  20. Mary

    Do the q’s beep?

    • Kathie M

At my target last night I got the TS3 Jr set ($27.98) and the $5 manu Q went through fine (no beeps) but the $10 Target coupon beeped but my cashier just pushed it through.

  21. Ems

My Target did let me do it yesterday but it was 27.98. Still a good deal though and they only had a couple left. The MFC wouldn’t scan so they just entered it in. The Target coupon said item not here but she pushed it through. I guess technically the regular Tag is pictured so that’s what it was intended for, so don’t expect that every manager will want to pass it thorugh.

  22. Rebecca

I bought this last Sat. with the target coupon it was on marked on clearance for $29.00 so I got it for $19.00. However two days later I was in a different Target and saw it on clearance for $19.00. I had my receipt so I asked Customer service if they could price adjust. They told me “no, every store sets their one clearance prices”. So I bought another one with an additional coupon and took the first one back. Both of these stores are the same distance from my house. So if you want this great deal check around prices could be better at the next store.

  23. Kimberly

Our Target had these marked to 14.99 yesterday! I had 3 sets of coupons, so I picked up 3 for free! The cashier was VERY impressed!! Thanks for all your tips!

    • Marcee

Where do you live? That is awesome!!

      • Kimberly

I’m in Tn! It was a great deal! We even got some books to go with it for 4.99 each!

  24. Paige S.

My target in Lexington, SC would not allow the coupons. They did beep. 🙁

  25. debra

very sad day for me. i realized last night that i have lost my coupon clutch somewhere. i am missing it with all of my favorite coupons in it. have to start all over i guess. sad!

    • Kathie M

Call all the places you’ve been then call back later when someone else is working! I left my binder at Target this summer and called but was told someone else must have taken it home. I kept going back and about 5 days later the girl who was checking me out the day I lost it said she had it locked up with the wallets since she knew it was an item of high value. After 5 days I had given up hope (I knew exactly where I left mine) but I did get it back so you may still have hope. Good luck!

  26. Courtney

I got this yesterday but it was $27.99 used the $10 TQ and $5 MQ for a total of $12.99

  27. Kate

I picked up Tag Jr and Tag reading systems yesterday. the q’s beeped and I barely convinced the cashier to acceptTQ and MQ for just Tag. Tag Jr. was marked $27.99, but sold for 19.99.

  28. ellen

i bought the plain tag jr. reader for 29.99
    – 10..oo target toy book q
    – 10.00 target q printable(web site)
    9.99 total
    – 10.00 2 gift cards form glade candle deal
    just paid tax!!!!!!!!!!!1

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You used 2 target coupons on one item. You are only allowed to use one per item. Even if one is from the coupon book and one is printed off of the computer. I’m surprised they took both. This is actually considered coupon fraud. Be careful to follow the rules so you don’t ruin it for the rest of us. Thanks

    • ellen

pne man one store no cheet

  29. Mommyof2

I was got this deal on Friday but I may be taking it back, My daughter is 4 so it may be too babyish for her. I probably should have gotten the “older” tag.

    • Kathie M

My DD is 2 and I wondered if it was too young for her but decided to go with it since I know the regular book has a sharper end and can mark up the Jr books (that would make me crazy).

    • Paige S.

My target would not let me do it. I would love to buy it from you. Please let me know if you are interested. My email is jphlane@yahoo.com. Thanks!

  30. heather

man i would love to get this hope my target has it

anyone in southeast texas found it at target.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The one at the Beaumont, Tx store was 27.99 earlier in the week, not sure if it has been marked down more. They also only had one left.

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the target in spartanburg sc has it on sale for this price…….don’t know if you can stack coupons and get the deal….my kiddo is only 10 months………and we do not have any kids in my family that is age apporiate.

    • Kathie M

Target’s coupon policy allows for 1 manu Q and one store Q on each item. Print the policy and take it with you if you’re worried!

    • DuncanMomof2

I was in Spartanburg yesterday and I did not see these anywhere.

      • Tiffany

I’m from Spartanburg and visit once a year to see family who is still there!

    • tilla ham

i would absolutely get this for a 10 month old and put it away for first birthday…if you are reading to your child everyday, and then at a year they start using this, they will be reading well before their peers…i purchased this for my 1 year old cousins bday and she is now 18 months and using it daily and saying the words with the reader

  32. lirpaapril82

I wish my printer worked..it’s such a piece of crap!! I wish I would have printed the coupons at work yesterday.

    • Teresa

Maybe Santa will bring you a new on this year for Christmas!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Try your library to print the coupons..mine allows but they charge 15 cents per print……….hope this help. I wish you good luck finding this deal!

  33. Mandy

I did this deal for my twins last year at Christmas when they were 2 and got it for around $8. My twins never actually played with the Tag Jr though. I definitely think it was age appropriate they just prefer me to read to them. Great deal for donation though. If I am out that way I plan on checking it out for Christmas gifts and would love to donate one to a needy child. My twins just turned 3 and are getting the regular Tag for Christmas. I jumped on the Target deal a few weeks ago. For some reason I can’t print Target coupons from my laptop. Does anyone else have this issue?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t have any problems printing. But you might want to check with your store…I have had several people find toybook which has the Qs in the store itself near the toys! HTH

  34. wendy

they have 3 of these in the toy clearance in mayfield hts ohio. they say sold as is.

  35. Erin

I was so bummed when they wouldnt let me use both coupons, I had one target Q and the manufactu. q, she told me it was against the law to use both of them! Actually the manager was so rude to me, I walked out without buying anything! I may try another target! I would really like to get this for my daughter!

    • Kristi

Print out the coupon policy from their website and take it with you. They will accept 1 Target coupon and 1 manufacture’s coupon for the same item, as will Walgreens and various other places. Hope that helps! 🙂

    • Dana

The target coupons I have been getting say 1 Target q and 1 man q can be used. I would check your coupons.

  36. Amanda

    Anybody have the dcpi?

  37. Becca

I just got back and they let me use both coupons no problem!:)

  38. Ember

They were marked down to $19.98 at my store. They let me use both coupons. Thanks for the info!!! 🙂

  39. heather

just a heads up – toysrus will be having black friday sales on thanksgiving day starting at 10 p.m. – one of the items is the tag jr. will be on sale for 17.99. not sure when coupon expires.

go here to see other TRU black friday sale ads.

    https://www.black-friday.net/bf/toysrus-black-friday.html

  40. Kristi

My Walmart (Springfield, MO) also has the Tag Jr’s on sale for $21. Not as great of a deal without the $10 Target coupon, but still not bad with the $5 coupon! 🙂

  41. Jamie Storey

I just snagged a coupon for $5/2 LeapFrog Tag books priced over $7 using the Tropicana Juicy Rewards. Target has several Tag books priced at $10 so you could get 2 for $15. If you haven’t registered with Tropicana go here https://juicyrewards.tropicana.com/login/home.aspx and fill out their survey for 1 point. You can redeem the point for the coupon. If you have trouble finding the coupon, type in “Toys” in the search box and it will bring it up.

  42. Heather Jennier

    I found this 2 days ago… I bought 5 of them!!

  43. Regina

My target would not let me use the $10 target coupon either. They said it had to match the picture on the coupon which is the regular not the Jr.

  44. urOKrealtor

I have tried printing Target coupons & it’s not letting me. I have added the ad ons & made sure my printer is selected as the default. I have not had a problem printing other coupons. Any suggestions?

    • Vivienne

What browser are you using? I have a MAC and I can only print Target coupons on Safari and not Firefox.

  45. Emma

I did that 2 days ago.. had trouble convincing the cashier to let me use both but she did in the end… 100% legit in my opinion

  46. Vivienne

I saw them on clearance at my Portland Target store.

  47. Greta

none left at american fork utah… but they let me use both on a regularly priced tag jr. not the greatest deal, but my son really wanted one.

  48. crystal

I was able to go this morning and snatch the last one! I am so excited about this and was able to use my coupon! Hooray!!!

  49. Sarah

Is the tag Jr too advanced for an 18 no old. I know the suggested age is 2.

    • Susan

At that price, you could always put it up and save it!

    • tilla ham

in my opinion, it isn’t too advanced at all..i would start using it with a 1 year old…you can do it with her/him as part of bedtime reading routine and in no time they will be doing it themselves
