It looks to me like most of the people reading this post are buying way more than they need. As greedy as they are one will probably take you up on it and charge you $50.00 for it. Sorry, I’d give you my only one if my store had any. Good luck
I disagree, If you find a great deal, take advantage of it, with Christmas right around the corner I would have loved to get about 6 of these for my little cousins! Why should you assume they are doing this out of spite? Shame on you for calling others greedy when they may just be as generous as they come!!!! That is NOT greed! If you plan on using the gift for Christmas and such that is smart and luck finding them. I feel only if you try to resell them and make a profit, that is being greedy. You on the other hand are being jealous and very unlucky. I’m sure you too will be lucky if your a litlle nicer! 🙂 Have a great day! I didn’t find this deal at my Target, but I did buy the Buzzlightyear Space Shooter advertised for $15. I gave my cashier the $5 coupon peelie from the box, and the $5 Target coupon. The register never beeped. Luckily I checked my receipt before leaving the store, and sure enough, the register had accepted only one of my coupons. I went to customer service, and the manager tried to blame me for the problem. That maybe I hadn’t given the peelie to the cashier, which I had done. She ended up giving me my $5 bucks back. So frustrating! Make sure you guys are checking your receipts.

Went to Salem, Oregon Target. They had them on sale for 39.50 then the $10 off plus the $5 off would make it…24.50….
Found the last 2 in Cumming, GA! Register beeped with the store coupon, but the cashier pushed them through! Yay for $4.98!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found a local Taget with about 10 of these at $27.98, but would not accept either coupon saying they were for TAG not TAG Jr.
This is the exact situation I ran into at my Target in WI.
I found the last one in Fond du Lac, WI…got it for the $4.98. Yay!!! A perfect gift for my nephew…
I wasn’t able to find the tag junior in Bellevue, NE, but I did find the regular tag. The price was $39.98. With the $10 and $5 coupons, I was able to snag it for $24.98. I might look in Omaha, NE when I go back to work on Monday.
Mansfield, Oh Target has them. As of 5:30 tonight, there were still 3. No problem with coupons, plus additional 5% for using their credit card.
What isle did you find them in? I was just there about 2 hours ago, and could not find one anywhere 🙁

I live about a half hour away from Mansfield, and being the next day I am not sure if I want to take my chances driving back over there for nothing. I tried calling, but they just said they didnt even carry it. Kind of funny since you both found them yesterday, lol! Oh well I guess I will have to miss on this deal.
Funny I knew about this yesterday and called 6 Targets in my city and finally found one that hhad 3 left. When I got there I was having a hard time finding them and another lady was looking for them too so I saw the associate that I spoke to on the phone and he showed me where (not at an endcap) and bought the remaining 3. My order was originally cancelled by Target when they were $10 online so $4.98 is even better!
Me too!!! I’ve been waiting to see if this happened to anyone other than me. I was furious! Target customer service is absolutely terrible too. I waited 45 mins to talk to some girl who eventually transferred me to her manager. After another 15 mins of waiting I just hung up. Congrats for getting them at $5!

I have to agree. I bought 8 from my local Target so that I could give one to each of my nieces and nephews. It’s awfully presumptuous of people to think that buying as many as they have on the shelf if being greedy or that someone is buying them to sell. All 8 of mine will go to good homes with toddlers who will love them. Thanks for sharing the deal Colin!

i got the last one at our Target. It wasn’t marked as being clearance and was hidden behind the Tag Toy Story packages. I also got the Tag for my older son…..was able to use 2 Target coupons for the Tag and the 2 Leap Frog Tag Manufacture Coupons. Purchased a couple books for each system and got the $5 gift card with $50 toy purchase as well. My husband was with me and was shocked when he saw the savings at the end of the receipt!
How did you get the $5 gift card with a $50 toy purchase? I spent over $50 but didn’t get one.
It came on the back of some of the toy big catalog books mailed out. Those that usually get the coupons mailed to them also got this I believe.
None here in Horseheads/Elmira, NY. They only had the Toy Story 3 Tag reader not Jr. And that was 39.98. I think I’ll wait and see if they will be on sale next week.

There were about 5 left at our Target. It was on clearance for 27.98. Used both coupons. Got for 12.98. I had already bought it on clearance for 27.98 for my little guy for xmas, so I was happy with the deal.

I found one at Target in IL. I had no problems and was able to get it. However, my friend tried at a different Target and they wouldn’t take the $10 coupon…they said it didn’t apply to the clearance Tag items.

Click the underlined “found here” in Collin’s post at the top. It leads you to the Leapfrog site and is for $5 off the “Tag Reading System” (with the pen), but a lot of stores are allowing you to use it on the Tag Jr., too.

my target had it for 27.99 so not a deal because the regular Tag Jr. was 29.99 and I didnt try the coupons because I still would of spent 12.99 all right I guess but not something I really want to buy unless its like 4 or 5 dollars.
Went to the Target in Watauga TX and they were all out but the Target in Keller TX on Davis and N Tarrant had like ten left. They were on a clearance end cap. I bought two. The cashier made me buy them in separate transactions but who cares!! Yay for $5!!

I just was at a Target in Northern Kentucky and they didn’t have the Tag Jr. Toy story set on clearance but they did have the Tag special addition Toy Story 3 on sale for 34.99, down from 44.99 (The original Tag with the Toy Story 3 book) and I was able to use the $10 and $5 coupons so I got a $44.99 set for $19.99. I was very happy with this purchase!

Why do you people take them all? You say you got one for your child but took 5? I get giving back to toys for tots and such. But, what about the poor mom that wants to pay for her gifts with her hard earned money. Then you folks take them all in the name of donating and the person that can just scape by can’t get any!!! Seems like greed to me. Or are you planning on taking them back to the store and robbing the manufacturer that put out this great coupon. Shame Shame!

Also, I bought additional units as gifts for my family, so that isn’t greed to me either.
I see both sides of this one it’s greed for the ones buying them to just sell on ebay when someone like me wants one because i am on limited budget, but for those that buy for family gifts is understandable to.
Then she should have gotten her booty there sooner then she could have scored the great deal too! I didn’t make it in time at my Target but would never be caught bashing people for my loss. Congrats to the ones who are able to score this great deal for their kids, family, charity or to sit in a closet for the last minute birthday gift!!
All I am saying is that there is a difference if you are using for gifts, etc. or wiping the shelves clean to mark up the price to resell. At least leave a couple for those who just want them for their kids.

I do see both sides, but even if someone is buying them to resell them for a small profit, would you do the same thing if you had to?? What if they are using any extra money they can find to pay hospital bills or save up for an adoption or pay nursing home bills from their parents, etc. etc. I know it’s hard missing out on a good deal, but there are good people who buy and resell on ebay for emergencies or dire situations. Just trying to get everyone thinking that greed might not be the only reason.

I checked my Target tonight, but of course they were all sold out. But I could find a TS3 shooter game for $15, so I could use a $5 Target Q & a $5 manu Q, then it became $5. I’m pretty happy and my kiddos love this game. 🙂
NO WAY! I found 2 (for my twin boys) on an endcap in West Jordan, Ut. Mine were only marked down to $27.98 each. Not complaining, because it was still a great deal. I went to the Target at Jordan Commons. Which Target were you able to get them so cheap at? ………………..And totally off subject, if anyone could grab me (2) of the $5 manufacture peelies found on the Toy Srory 3 space shooter game I would pay you for them. I found it at the my target in North Texas on clearance for $27.98. The system wouldn’t take the target coupon but the cashier called over the manager who approved it. Yeah! I was excited to get it for $12.98. They still had about five remaining on the shelf so I hoped other people are catching the same great deal.

I found the Vtech Handy Manny Lap top for $7.48 at Target in Clarksville, TN. It was in the regular Handy Manny Toy section. No clearance stickers just marked on the shelf price that way. The regular price is $29.99. I checked the Nashville White Bridge Rd Target the next day and theirs were not on sale. May have been an fluke but I was super excited to score this deal.
In Atlanta Ga I found the last one on an end cap but the target would not take the $10 off coupon I had the manager called and still nothing since it wasn’t the one pictured!! Still bought it and used the $5 maufact. coupon.
