I thought I got a good deal on the M&D Cutting Food box earlier this week for $11.99. On hold with Amazon now to find out if they’ll do a price adjustment.
So get this! They’re not willing to do a price adjustment. Instead they are sending me a mailing label to return the one I have – no charge for shipping. I just reordered it for $9.99 and will get it by Tuesday with Amazon Prime shipping. Seems to me, they’re creating a lot of work for themselves – instead of just crediting my account, now they have to pay for shipping 2 more times, someone has to process my order being sent to me and they’ll have to process the return. Oh well, I’m saving another $2!
I didn’t think they’ll price adjust, just because Amazon is very well known for flipping prices rapidly, but this is seriously ridiculous. They are willing to go to all that trouble (and expenses) rather that just give you your 2$ back?? That’s just wrong!
But at least at the end, you’re getting the price you wanted 🙂
I originally called thinking I had paid $19.70 for it (had ordered it along with the sandwich making set and that’s the one I paid $19.70 for). So initially I was thinking it would be a $10 adjustment and was happy to learn I wouldn’t have to pay for return shipping if it came to that.
Once I realized my error and that it was only a $2 difference, I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t just do an adjustment. Oh well, I’ll pack this one up and ship it out as soon as the new one arrives and they can deal with the extra work. Just seems so ridiculous to me and such a wasted effort on their part.
