Finally, Finally…. Sweet Success! Yes, I did it. I printed the buy one Special K cereal get one FREE 12oz Special K Original or 13.6 oz MultiGrain Oats & Honey Cereal (up to $4.49 value) coupon! I cannot believe I got the darn thing to print! Oh but it was sure worth it! 😀

Thanks to Totally Target for posting about this coupon earlier today, I finally kept trying and realized the way to actually print the coupon is to create a new account! So here goes…

Head on over to SpecialK.com and look in the upper right hand corner – make sure you are NOT signed in. If you’re signed in make sure to SIGN OUT (this is key!). Next click on the “Get Started” link below the big red heart and create your plan. Go through the process of creating your plan and after choosing your start date, click on the “Save” link (red box – upper right). Now you will need to create a NEW account (do not login to your old account). To create a new account, you’ll need a new email address. Think about signing your hubby up or another family member. After creating an account, you can scroll down on the questionnaires and click on the “Skip” link. Finally you will be able to click on the coupon link and print your very own buy one get one FREE coupon! Hit your browser back button to print a total of 2 coupons!

Now, I know that was quite a bit of work to get this coupon… but this printed piece of paper will make for almost FREE cereal at various stores! Here are a few deals you can score:

This week at Rite Aid…
Buy 4 Special K Cereals $4.79 each
Total = $19.16
Use 2 buy one get one FREE Special K coupons (will deduct $4.49 per coupon)
Pay $10.18
Get back a $5 +Up Reward and get back 4 $1 +Up Rewards
Final cost ONLY $1.18 for all 4 boxes!!

Or wait until next week at Rite Aid (1/9-1/15) to score the following deal…

Use the buy one get one free coupon (will deduct $4.49)

Or score this deal available at Target currently…

  2. DP

I created a plan (signed out) then at the point of creating a new account, signed in and I was able to print them. hmmmm

    • Amber

That’s exactly what I did, too, and I got it to print twice. Woot! Sorry other people were having such trouble. I know I’ve had my issues with getting other coupons to print, and it can be very frustrating.

    • Shop Now

Yep… that worked for me. Signed in and I was sent to the coupon download page. No need for a second account. Maybe you just have to start the process without being signed in?

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks! ive been trying for HOURS…you are amazing..anyone told you that lately?

  4. DP

    Jennifer,

Where do you go to know that? (please do tell 🙂

  5. Takako

At my local Walmart, when you buy ANY 2 Kellogg’s cereals, you can get FREE grocery bag. They are at the end of cereal aisle and those bags are at bottom of the shelf.

  6. Krista S.

I cannot get this thing to work! I have tried all day and it keeps telling me there is an error after I click on the red save box. Arghh! Is anyone else getting this message? I cannot even get to the next step of creating a new account. Help!!

    • Krista S.

Okay, I figured it out – FINALLY! I had to enable the cookies for the site and I was finally able to get through. Whew! That was quite a journey for that coupon, but well worth it. Thanks for all your hard work, Collin. I appreciate you today!

  7. katie

    yipeee it worked!

  8. babyrn

Collin, for the B1G1 deal at Rite Aid next week, wouldn’t you still get a 1.00 UP per box? I believe that UP reward deal runs until 1/22. Please correct me if I am mistaken!

    • Janet

The special K deal for $5 is not working on the cereal!!

      • april

It worked for me Monday 🙂

  9. Brenda

    Thank You-Thank You Thank You!

This is horrible!! I need that coupon!

    • Krista S.

This was the same exact message I received. I had to allow third party cookies for the site before it would let me go through the entire process. Hope that helps!

    • dawn

I got this error as well and not savvy enough to figure out how to allow 3rd party cookies.. 🙁

      • Nikki

I opened it in explorer and was able to get around that. Wouldn’t work in Chrome.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i just left rite aid and the 5 up rewards won’t work on cereal here in so cal. The deal is only on bars and protein shakes according to the ad. Boo, I bought the cereal anyways. Still a decent deal.

    • Lashalot

Oh No!!! No UPs in So Cal?? Thanks for the heads up though! I was so ready for those 5 + 4 more UPs. I totally have to change my scenario for tomorrow morning. Now I won’t be disappointed and confused about my transaction tomorrow LoL!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought in So Cal I got the $5 and 4 $1 UP reward today.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wouldn’t that equal 75 cents per box at Target? Still a good price but just checking. Am I missing something. $10 for 4 boxes minus the $5 off for 2 BOGO coupons and then $2 off for store coupons. This will be $3 for 4 boxes, right?

    • couponsnoopy

I agree. I do not understand the math to use B1G1 coupons and then use a coupon on top of that. The two Target coupons make sense. It is the last one that doesn’t

  14. julie

Thank YOU!!! I was going in circles!

  15. Sarah

Hmm.. I didn’t have to create a new account to print this. Just went to create the plan and logged in after my plan was created. I was able to print today and also printed the BOGO a few weeks ago. SOO exited to get lots of FREE Special K at Publix next week!

  16. Kara

Thanks finally got it to work. I tried before and went through the whole process and never got a link to the coupon. I reg. under my husband and used his email and it worked. I could not figure it out before. Thanks for the step by step instructions. Can’t wait to get almost FREE cereal next week at Rite Aid:)

  17. Jo-Ann

I was able to print twice, Collin, thanks to your tips!

  18. mira

worked great in Seattle – we got the original special k email, so coupon was much easier to print.

  19. stacey

the ad says they are B1G1 FREE so wouldnt they be $0 oop? with the mfq????

    • meryl

I wondered the same thing Stacey. And if it kicks back Ups wouldn’t it be a MM?? This math hurts my head!!

    • karen e

They are priced at 4.79 and the coupon is for upto a max value of 4.49, so you would have to pay the difference. 😉

  20. Kimberly

I’m having trouble trying to download the coupon. I went on facebook, and they stated they are working to fix the problem. I’ll wait awhile, and try again. 🙂

  21. Sharise

Thank you …thank you!!! I have been trying to figure this thing out for the last couple days! It worked for me!!

  22. Brandy

Thank you so much! I thought I was going to miss out on this deal!

  23. Kari H.

Woo Hoo! I wonder if Publix would order this for me since I am sure the shelves will get cleared!

  24. Coupon Crocodile

I went through the while thing and never found a coupon. I then searched “coupon” and it tells me I need to sign up first. I just signed up. Has anyone else had this issue? How sad!!

    • kathy

Me too, regisered and it does not give me the link to print. Help

  25. Alissa

I’m getting a “server error” message. Has anyone else seen that?

    • kaseyb

      I keep getting it too.

      • kaseyb

        It just worked for me!

  26. Cherie

Doesn’t matter WHAT I do re: cookies or anything else….I STILL am getting the “runtime error” thingy…..:=( ….I am SOOOO sad…sniff….snifff

    • Heather

Did you do exactly what she said? I just did it and I was able to print two with no problems. The only thing was that it seemed like the pages kept timing out so I had to keep refreshing. Try again!

      • anon

I get “Run Time Error” for a lot of my coupons and I just don’t touch a thing and wait it out. It usually only takes like 30 seconds or less before the printer icon pops up in my tray and my Print Preview pops up on my screen. I’m thinking its just my slow printer vs’ the website that has quickly sent it already. Try waiting about a minute or so to see if your printer starts up. 🙂

        • anon

Oh ya..when I say don’t touch a thing..don’t close the “Run Time Error” Just leave it up..I’ve closed it before and it just messed things up. Wait to see if the coupon prints then close. Sometimes it closes all my dang windows when I’m done printing..but then I just go back in and get my second print no biggie.

  27. Heather

Yippie!! After days of trying, I finally got it!!! I wondered if I needed to wait to sign in, but I never tried it that way. THANKS for letting me know that that was the key! Blessings ~

  28. rachel

My Kroger had a ‘buy 4 save $4’. I bought three at $1.99 and then got the fourth free. This was on the fly but would’ve been excellent with three other coupons.

  29. Cristyn

Thank you! I kept trying yesterday with my login and finally decided it wasn’t worth it to try to figure it out! But now I have it. Thanks.

  30. Valerie

Hanging on to my B1G1 Special K Coupons for Rite Aid’s 1/9-1/15 sale. There on the front page states, B1G1 Kellogg’s Cereal and Special K is included. Should be free or very close to free; plus it counts in the Buy & Save Promo.

  31. Kim M.

I cannot get this to work…I click on print the coupon and it makes me create a plan again…just the same cycle over and over. Even when I create a new account. Takes me through the steps again, but still no coupon 🙁

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Keep getting the Server Error and won’t let me create a new acct.! HELP Collin.

  33. Christa K.

Tried twice but no coupon link – just going in circles.

  34. karie

i never could get it to work, so i just emailed them. they sent me a coupon for a free box of cereal in the mail with an apology for the website not working. so i don’t have to buy anything, just get a free box! 🙂

  35. TaraLynn

I can’t find the coupon link… anyone know? thanks!!

  36. Jenifer

Worked for me @ 8:45 EST Thanks!!

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I keep getting the error as well…bummer. I wanted to try that cereal.

  38. Sonia

I still can’t get it to work either. I’ve enabled cookies, tried different browsers, etc. and nothing is working. I was looking forward to free cereal at Publix this week.

    • Sonia

FINALLY got it to work! I didn’t do anything different….just kept trying.

  39. Susan

I chose my plan, saved, and then I get a runtime error. Picture shows almost ready for coupon, need to complete register but cannot get any further. Any suggestions?

    • aimee latham

try it with a different server, i downloaded firefox and it worked right away!

  40. Heather

Finally! Thought I was losing my mind!

  41. Melissa

keep trying. i just kept going back and it finally worked. Plus I was able to print more than 2 !!!!!

  42. Susan J. Reinhardt

Collin – CVS has Special K 3/$10.00 this week with a 4 ECB reward. I used $4.50 in previous ECBs, 1 $1.00 coupon from 1/2 newspaper and ended up paying 51 cents.

  43. Susan

Finally, not sure it was worth all the trouble.

  44. Jenny Super

    No problem!!! Thanks!

  45. Jennifer

I did this deal last night at RA. I also had a $4/$20 VV coupon. I added two packs of Trident to my order to push me over $20. After the 2 BOGO MQs plus the VV coupon, I paid $8.11 out of pocket and scored $10 in UP rewards! I got $5 UP for special k $15 purchase, 4-$1 UP for each box of cereal and $1 UP for the gum. A $2 MONEYMAKER!

  46. Karen Becker

Shoprite has them for 5/$10.00, you can use the BOGO internet coupons and newspaper coupons, not sure if this is the best deal out there.

  47. Kelly

Thank you , thank you, thank you. I had created a new account, but i guess I did something wrong but it worked this time so thank you. Also just an fyi that special k is BOGO at rite aid next week making it free with this coupon as well.

  48. Colleen

Printing now. I did change my start date to something other than today. Not sure if they fixed the error or the date change help.

  49. Drina

I did this deal at Rite Aid yesterday and did not realize that there was a 4.49 max value. Neither did the cashier. He took off 4.79, so I didn’t have to pay the difference. I probably would have said something if I had realized it, but oh well. Nice deal.

  50. Sandy

I got 2! I thank you, and my hips thank you!
