Wow, this is an AMAZING deal! I was gonna order my husband’s birthday present from Amazon this week and this deal helps me alottt!!

Do you get the gift certificate by email? Has anyone gotten theirs yet?

And one more thing: don’t wanna be greedy, but has anyone been able to set up more than one Living Socials account and get this deal twice?

  2. Melissa S.

Thanks so much!!! My husband and I are on the envelope cash system starting for the new year, and I’ve been trying to save up my swag bucks for a laminating machine! Now I get one!!! Woo hoo!

How did you get the credit? I signed up as a new member, and followed the instructions and it states there are no deal bucks.

    • TXWife

Same here Cheryl. I signed both my husband and myself up but no deal bucks here. 🙁

    • beebs2010

I originally signed up under Collin and I didn’t get the deal bucks either. I ended up going back and signing up under someone random in the comments…and viola…it worked. Here’s my link if you want to give it a try (no pressure…just wanted you to know what worked for me):

I think you all need to use Collin’s link to get the deal. It takes you to a page where you put in your email address and then after you hit enter or go or whatever it then takes you to the deal page where you THEN have to click SIGN UP. You then create an acct, and voila! The credit is added. Just follow Collin’s instructions and you shouldn’t have a problem. i think many of you aren’t getting the credit because you are using links posted in the comments section.

All of the ref links work. You don’t have to use Collin’s link. You just have to sign up with someone’s ref link – anyone’s. That’s the trick. 🙂

If anyone needs a refer link to get the $5 credit, here’s mine: https://livingsocial.com/deals/21336?ref=conf-jp&rpi=3758787

      • Heather

Huh, I tried other peoples but they weren’t working to give any credit, only Collin’s got me the credit. So that’s why I thought it was only Collin’s link.
        Cheers

it has to have the word “redeem” in it like this: https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/21367991-chinwa?ref=lnk It will work put your email in, then sign up.
Or if you already signed up but havn’t had the credit yet, just sign out and close the browser, then click a redeem link like the one above 😉
Then sign in. It should show the discount then! HTH

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the great deal! I tried signing up under Collin’s link but didn’t get the $5…after signing up under someone else’s in the comments, I got the $5. Weird. So if anyone needs a referral link.. https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/12177955-paigie?ref=lnk
    Thanks for the help!

  9. Keri

I never did get the $5 credit :(. I used Collin’s link and followed the steps, but it says, “You haven’t earned any deal bucks”. I went ahead and purchased the gift card anyways, since $10 off of $20 is still a good deal, but would have liked an extra $5 off. I also created an account for my husband, just to see if the credit would show up, but still nothing!? I want to get another gift card, since you can do one per person, but wish I could figure out the $5 credit thing first. Any suggestions? TIA

Also, if someone would like to sign up under me I would really appreciate it. https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/21348950?ref=lnk 🙂

    • Blondy

Keri, sorry to hear you weren’t able to get the credit. For future reference, you have to use a referal link from someones that has redeem_invite in the link like this:
      https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/21386045-blondy?ref=lnk

These are the only links that will take you to the page to put in your email to receive daily alerts. Once you’ve done that step NOW you can click sign up and you will see your credit. It took me WAY to long to figure that out so I figured I’d share the knowledge to spare someone else the frustration I endured! Hope your able to get the credit the second time.

      • Keri

Blondy-thank you! In reading several of the comments on here I did notice that some of the links had “redeem_invite” in them and some did not. I thought this was strange but didn’t think too much of it until your comment. When I signed up for the deal I went through Collin’s first link “Living Social”. I’m not sure, but my guess is this is why the credit wasn’t applied. With the deal working for some and not for others, I’m wondering if it’s because the actual referral link is “Go here and enter your email address or login to your Living Social Account”.? That would explain why some got the credit and others did not.

        • Keri

I read somewhere that if you log out and log back in using a referral link that has “redeem_invite” in it you can still get the $5 credit. I did this under my husband’s account, and IT WORKED!! I was able to get a gift card for $5! Woohoo!! I wasn’t however able to get a credit on my account :(. I’m thinking it’s because I’d already purchased the gift card (for $10) but hadn’t yet purchased one under my husband’s.

It took me an hour of trying but I was finally able to order it. I almost gave up. I clicked on another major city and it popped up. Yea!

  11. Blondy

Hey ladies! For anyone having issues getting their $5 credit here’s why. When you choose someones referral link, look for the ones that say redeem_invite in the link like this: https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/21386045-blondy?ref=lnk
These are the only links that will take you to the page to put in your email to receive daily alerts. Once you’ve done that step NOW you can click sign up and you will see your credit.

Hope this makes it easier for someone to get in on this amazing deal!

  12. LeslieK

Thank you all for the advice. Signed up one time and did not know to use a referral link, so I did not get the credit. Signed up using someone’s link on here and it worked perfectly. Thank you so much! Here is my link if anyone would like to use it. I would appreciate it.
    https://livingsocial.com/deals/21336?ref=conf-jp&rpi=3801817

Thank you so much! and thank you so much Collin!

  13. mouni

Did anyone get a confirmation for this? And does anyone know if this is an e gift card or if it will be sent by mail?

  14. Heather

Blondy is correct! That’s why only Collin’s was working for me!!
