  The Rite Aid video value ones CAN be combined with a manufactures coupon. It is in the rite aid coupon policy which is referenced at the top of this Rite Aid blog. Just to help put you at ease I bought BOTH of those items this morning and used a printable manufactor AND a Rite Aid Video Value coupon on each on. No problems. 🙂

  I also did this deal today with no problems. The cashier (who was super nice and very patient) did ask another cashier before trying to scan the VV to make sure (new maybe?), but the other cashier said they could be used together and of course they scanned with no beeps.

   My rite aid did not have the Afrin advertised as part of the Heart Healthy promo. I bought 4 Afrin, 3 Coricidin, 1 Viactv vitamins and 1 colgate, which totaled over $50 but I only got $10 +ups for spending $30 in promo products. Everything else except the Afrin was marked in the store, it was also not listed in the ad. Has anyone else seen or had this problem?

   I am not complaining because I still got + ups for them and I had coupons so they were MM for me and I use that product all the time so I am still happy.

  In my ad, the Afrin was in small print in the listing of the Coricidin deal. So, it was printed together in the ad and was in the heart healthy category. I’m thinking you may need to call corporate and tell them it didn’t print for you.
  (Unless you already did the deal last week with the Nature Made scenario. It’s a limit of 1 Heart Healthy reward.

   My Rite Aid beeped on the third $3/1 Afrin coupon… The manager wouldn’t allow me to buy more than 2. 🙁 So, I bought the two and the Coricidin $2/1 printables beeped saying no item found… I bought the day/night pack, so he forced that one through.

   The Gillette ProGlide deal is limit 1 $5 +Up. Didn’t look at the ad like I shoulda. Anyway, the manager refunded me $5.89 per for 3 that I returned. I had used my +Ups to buy them so he was reluctant to give me a gift card store credit, but he did AND he kept my MCs $4 x 3= he came out on top $12. I didn’t argue with him about it since I’m not shopping for 10 days and they expire tomorrow.

My store also had some Clairol Basic Instincts hair color at 75% off, paired with the MF coupon and Rite Aid in-ad coupon = free + mm 😀

   Just want say thanks to Emily. I didn’t even plan to go to RA today, but after seeing her sample senarios I got about 40 bucks worth of stuff for about $3 plus tax and received $10 in UPs! Woo-hoo! Collin, Emily this might need to be a weekly thing! You could call it “ECBs and UPs with Emily”!

  lol, thanks! I would love to do this weekly! My store had EVERYTHING in stock at around 11, and I bought a ton of stuff. For some reason, for the clairol, the in ad coupon didn’t scan, so They just gave me $6 on a gift card! I’m going to go back tomorrow, get some more FREE clairol!!

    Okay, question for you long time couponers…I’m still learning. I have a few B1G1 free coupons for Gillette deoderant. This week it is B1G1 50% off at RA. So, do I get 2 for the price of 1/2?? Also, there is a $5 + up if I spend $20….is that before all of my B1G1 free coupons?? I want to make sure I go to the register with enough. If I make a mistake and do not have enough product and the +up doesn’t print, is it saved to my card and I can just go pick up another gillette to get to the $20? …..Thanks!! :0)

  The only deals that keep track are the monthly Heart Healthy UP & Winter Rewards. All the weekly deals, you must hit the spend amount prior to coupons for your UP to print.

  so with the Gillette, I’m not sure on how this will work. This really depends on how the register rings the sale. I think the 1/2 off is taken after she totals the sale but before coupons, I’m not sure on the price, maybe $5 each?? so you would need 6 (3 @ reg price = $15, 3 @ 1/2 off = 7.50 for a total of 22.50) The coupon might take off the full value of $5 each and you would pay $7.50 for the 6. But you might run into a cashier where they will only take off 2.50 for your BOGO coupon.

  Thanks all! It turned out that the clinical strength deo was $9.99 each, so the deal was not that good at all. I would not pay that much even after B1G1 50% and the +ups. :0) So, I went on to the chex mix and all the other great deals! Paid 16+ups, $1.34 oop, and came home with 15 more +ups! :0) Can’t beat that!!! (Well, some of you can, but that is great for me!)

  BOGO coupon, the cheapest is taken off, so it would work out to be a buy one get one free deal, instead of buy one get one half off.

    Heads up to all. I just went to RA where they paid me to shop as all my receipts said zero or less and had +UPs attached. However, when I went to use the UPs on my iTune Gift Card, I wasn’t allowed to. Plus they wouldn’t let me use credit card; only cash, as they are having problems and corporate has a new policy. Just a heads up!

  I was under the impression you couldn’t use UPs on GC’s (I could be wrong, but I though that was an exclusion that printed on the UP, or I could be confusing it with CVS?) Anyway, yeah, my store has a sign Cash only for the Itunes, but you can use CC or debit for other GCs.

  You can’t use UP rewards for gift cards. The policy has been no credit cards or checks to pay for gift cards for a while.

  I did this today and it didn’t qualify-assuming it is because the 2nd one is free on them not a MQ. I didn’t see the buy $15/get 5+up until after, I only had to spend $2 more to get it– bummer! I really need to pay attention.

    Question: Did I break even or come out on top?
    1st transaction $5.15 Paid with a $7 SCR and got the rest ($1.85) put on a gift card. The cashier realized they forgot to ring up a Stayfree so it was bought, then returned? IDK but the cashier ended up giving me a GC with $13.23 on it plus I received 13 +ups.

    2nd Transaction $3.42 put on a GC received 11 +ups.

    3rd Transaction $17.34 put on the giftcard from trans #1 and the remaining on another giftcard. Plus I received 9 +ups. So did I make money or break even? Having a hard time figuring it out.

    Great trip to rite aid today. I started with 30 in Ups, (and had $31 already towards my winter reward) got 2 ice creams, 4 stax, 6 Obertos ( my sweet doggy loves them), 2 afrin, 2 coricidin, 4 colgate, 6 stayfrees, 4 pkgs Dixie plates, 2 peanut butter, and 1 Smuckers, and ended up with 75 +UPs. I knew it was going to be a good day but not quite sure how it ended up that good!

    I also bought 15 Lays and got my 1 UP+ for each…but did not get my 5UP+ for spending 15. I questioned it and my manager finally just gave me 5 off my next purchase because I told him I was just going to roll it over anyway.

    Awesome Trip this week.. you can’t get any better then FREE Ice cream! All my ups printed, i was very surprised that they had ice cream left, but they were very stocked up. Also when I got home I had this email from Rite Aid… JUST LOVE THIS STORE!

  Go buy 3 of the Colgate total advanced toothpastes for $2.99. Use (3) $1/1 coupons and get (3) $2 up rewards. Then you will be at the $30 level and you will get one $10 up reward.

    Hello, so I just need some help with a coupon. The diabetic magazine at walgreens has a 10.00 Q on the Neuragen in it. My region did not get this coupon. But the coupon says redeemable only at walgreens, but starts with a 5. So my question is: is it ok to use this coupon at Rite Aid. Will the store get there money back? Any opinions would be helpful. Thank you

  No, it is not ok to use this coupon at Rite Aid since it says “redeemable ONLY at Walgreens”. If it just said “redeemable at Walgreens”, then that would be ok. The word “only” means that Rite Aid will not get reimbursed, so we cannot use it. Hope that helps!

    i had a couple questions…does anyone know if the glad trash bags on sale for $3.99 include the forceflex? theres a $3 off glade coupon from fb or coupons.com or something. also how many dixie video coupons have been out in recent months? i used two of them ($2 off 2 & $3 off 2) last week for the bygo sale then there was another one in my account yesterday when i looked so i dont know if its a new one or some sort of glitch and it will beep as used when i go to use it….

I really want to use my two $3 coupons but I really wanted to get them close to free, LOL We use the small grocery bags, so no need really for the bigger ones unless it was free, I still have half a box of a bulk pack I bought three years ago! Cheapest price I found so far was at Target and they were Reg price. I was hoping for a GOOD sale on them!

  Anyone wanna trade? I have two or three BOGO Splenda coupons too that expires on the 6th I’m not going to use either, I hate wasting good coupons! ;p

I haven’t shopped at Rite Aid in probably over a year, but I did manage to get all my VV for January and of course used some of the current ones. I also still had a $10 GC from a P&G deal Rite Aid did last year sometime (like I said, it’s been awhile since I’ve been there). I was actually afraid the card wouldn’t work or fees had been taken out since it was inactive for so long. Anyway, spent about $2 OOP, left with 21 +ups. Also, I have to say a BIG thanks to Colin & Emily again, I didn’t have all the qs I needed for the deals Emily worked out for me, but she gave me an awesome starting point to get me rolling…

    Transaction 1:

    -$4/20 Jan Beauty VV

    I think I’m going to try and roll them into the Heart Health reward, but I haven’t really figured out how yet, I think I’m like $10 away from the 10+up, and I don’t have a whole lot of coupons, and the ones we do get here usually aren’t as high value as other areas. I’m also a little confused on the Winter Reward total, how does that calculate? Is it before or after qs? I also meant to do the KY deal that someone posted in the comments, but when I got to the store I realized I forgot the $5/1 IPs I had, so I was kinda bummed, and it’s more expensive than what’s posted ($19.99 instead of $16.99). Also wondering about coupon clipping sites…I haven’t really felt the need to use em, but with so many good MMs this week I’m considering it, but I don’t know how long it takes for them to ship, and I’m worried I’ll get the qs too late. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

    Something I haven’t seen posted is the UP reward on the Loreal Youth Code. I purchased the Serum. $24.99- 20% Discount = $19.99 – $5VV-$2 manufacturers coupon- $5 SCR = $7.99, then I got a $5 +UP Reward. So final cost $2.99.

    Saved $68.96 and paid OOP $1.20 for the entire transaction. Recvd $46 in +UP rewards ($20 was my Winter reward). Will receive $13 in SCR. HUGE MONEY MAKER TODAY! Thanks Collin

  Everyone had Edy’s on special, I figured the MF cleared out the old stuff out of the warehouse? Ours was fine and yummy, and even better cuz it was free! I even skipped my CVS trip because I was worried my ice cream would melt (I put it in my cart first, duh. I got there late and was so excited that they still had ice cream that I grabbed mine right away! :P)

  I was also really excited about my free Lays, Free Hormel chili and free treats for the doggies! (The Ups print on both the Beggin strips AND the free Busy bone BTW)

  I had to split mine into three transactions because I was afraid of the Ups glitch, The clerk was really patient since that I kinda did on the fly! ;p

    A little confused about the Heart Healthy deal. Can someone please help me understand this? If I got a $10 +up reward last week for spending $30 towards heart healthy items can I still get some of the items this week to reach the $50 mark and get another $10 +up or would I have to have gotten $50 worth all in one transaction to get $20 +up reward?

    well I did my run today, I couldn’t find the Afrin in my add, and not marked on shelf 🙁 , and the Clairol was not on clearance, Grabbed 40+ $ worth of items, Started with 3 ups and VV coupons paid .23 cents plus tax, and SHOULD have gotten $9.00 back in up’s, but none printed, so they told me to call the 1-800# tomorrow. Hopefully it all works out, first time my up’s didnt print :(. Still a great run!!!!!

  If you think beforehand that a product is suppose to be part of a sale, take a min and ck it with the cashier or mgr. to confirm it’s a go. You don’t want to miss out cause they were lax in getting all the sale tags up that week :0)

    I have never shopped at Rite Aid and want to try it. I still have a few questions though.
    1. Can I do 2 transactions and use all my UP rewards on the second trans? Like in CVS I do 2 trans, first one with only items that offer ECB and then the next one with everything else and they take all the ECB off to come down to like zero.

    2. How many $5 off $25 or $4 off $20 can you use in one trans? Say I spend $30 and use the $5, now I’m at $25 can I use the $4 and then all my manf. coupons?

    Anything else I should know about all this? Thanks

  1. Yes. Rite ai’s Ups will print the next time even if you use the same UPs to buy the item, unless you’ve reached a limit (if there is one). I bought 6 Lays, paid for those with $6 in UPs, then bought 6 more and used “Lays” UPs to pay. My new UPS printed.

  2.Only one $x/$xx per order, per their policy. Although I had a cashier insist I could use both. I said no thanks b/c I knew policy stated one, and I didn’t want him to get in trouble.

  Whenever there is a weekly spend X amount, you have to do it in 1 transaction AND you have to meet the amount. Not like CVS, where it keeps track and sometimes ECBs will print if your .01 short. So if you’re doing the snack stuff Spend $15, Get $5, you have to have $15 in one transaction (b4 tax & coupons). Happy Raiding!

    Does anyone know if there’s a limit to how many UP Rewards you can receive in one transaction? I had heard that you can only receive $24 UP’s in one transaction? I have a scenario that would get me 66 UP’s back, but am afraid to try it if I risk only capping out at $24. Thanks for the help! 🙂

  I would split the transaction. I heard something around 20 (not $20 but 20 separate UPs) as well. I heard their system will crash and I wouldn’t risk it.

  Today, I had a problem with one of my transactions not printing +UP rewards, even though I was VERY careful to not have over 20 on one transaction! I think there should have been 14 that printed on mine. The store refunded me for $16 in +UPs that didn’t print, but I just realized when I got home that I should have also gotten my second $10 heart healthy coupon on that transaction! Ugh. Guess I will call the 1-800 # tomorrow!

    Had a weird RA trip today. Bought 6 Dreyers and 2 Colgate toothpastes. The receipt printer took a good 20 seconds before printing and NO UPS came out! The cashier was flustered and gave me $17 cash back ($2UP for each ice cream and $5 football snack UP) but then asked if he could keep my receipt because he’d need to explain it to his manager. I agreed, but when I got home, I realized he missed my $2UP for each Colgate. Ug. Anyone else have something similar happen?

  Yes,I had $58 worth of missing ups from yesterday.These were all on 1 receipt and it did not print out my winter rewards total.Today when I made a purchase it only showed $16 towards the winter promo.It looks like it never recognized the transaction.

  I was told yesterday by a shift supervisor(whom I am reporting to corp)that I wasn’t suppose to get more thatn 3 Ups on the same items. She said corp. is resolving this problem and she really should take back my receipt and tear off my other 2 $2. Ups for the ice cream. LOL- I was just waiting for her to tell me to actually hand it over to her.

  I went this morning to a RA near my office, repeated my trans and had absolutely no issues/stupid comments wahtsoever.

    On the KY deal, I read on several blogs that the small tube (the regular stuff, not intense or yours/mine) is also giving $5 UP wyb 2. Think the price is $4.50, 2nd one is half off. There are $3 off ANY KY (exc trial size though) @ smartsource.com. Nice MM there!

    There is a $3 VV for Loreal Preference on February website. It’s NOT listed with the Beauty items, but is under the Home category of Loreal.
    I don’t know if anyone else has already mentioned it, but it makes the hair color a better deal… $0.99 a box!

  Julie – yes, that is a better deal (good catch!) but it will bring it down to 2.99 (vs. .99) – that’s because we are no longer allowed to combine in-ad coupons w/vv coupons on the same product; you have to select one or the other – (otherwise the register will beep).

    So I have a question about the $20 resolution reward from January. Mine never ended up printing on my receipt, so I had to call Riteaid and they told me it would take 48 hours to process and then they would mail me one. That was 2 weeks ago. I just called again today and the lady I talked to told me that they haven’t sent out any more UPR in the month of January?!? Has anyone else had a difficult time getting theirs? Does anyone have any suggestions??
