Someone recently gave me a coupon for a FREE TRIAL SIZE mini kit with foundation, primer and a teeny tiny brush. The lady at Sephora was so nice, she gave me 2! However, since the freebie samples did not match my skin tone, I got 2 more tiny vials to try at home. Guess what….it ITCHED and ITCHED!!! I’m writing this basically to warn people who haven’t used this brand before to proceed with caution…it contains BISMUTH which is a skin irritant…especially for people with sensitive skin.

Vinita is right, I started out using this brand but quickly found out I was allergic to bismuth oxychloride. I now use Everyday Minerals and Silk Naturals which are better quality and more affordable.

It depends on how dark your skintone is. I used to work at Sephora, and the undertones (especially if you are of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean descent) are a little unflattering from Bare Escentuals, re: olive skin.

Most are listed under the specific sample. They’re almost always small vials between .03 and .06 oz

How long did it take to get the birthday code?

Just wondering if anyone has ever had problems getting their ebates from sephora…I placed an order on January 18th and have not received my ebates from that order yet…wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
I have not recieved my ebates from a stila order or my ebates free gift for making that initial purchase and no one will respond to my emails at ebates.
Email them again with the tracking number and order information, there is a special form for it not getting credited to your account…I submitted a claim and within 5 minutes ebates customer service had contacted me and credited my account.
It takes a while for them to send you an email on your ebates. When you have an item that could be returned for dissatisfaction then you won’t see an ebates confirmation for quite a long time. This is normal.

I’ve been a Beauty Insider for 3 yrs now and have NEVER once received the free samples I requested. It seems they just throw 3 random samples in the box. Not a big deal, but don’t get your heart set on the three free samples you choose……. Excellent deal though 🙂
That’s really strange and a major bummer. I’ve shopped Sephora.com more than the actual store because of the free online samples and I have always received the samples I selected. I think once I even scored an extra one.

I was going to order the sample, but found it only came in a shade I would never wear. After searching, I found another code. SPLURGE gave me ten free samples. I’ll be getting a sample of “hope in a jar”, along with MANY other high dollar samples. I did find another sampler of bare essentials, but it was only available in really dark shades. The code for that one is BARETRIO, on the plus side it came with the primer.

If you live near a store (a free standing one, not inside JCP) you can get your birthday gift there. You don’t have to buy anything, just go in and tell them it’s your birthday and you want your BeautyInsider gift. Trust me, I worked there. 🙂
