It never asked me size and gender?????? and ive already entered my info and submitted!

    • maureen

looks like you will get an email with a code, and then you choose your gender/size

      • Noel

        Thank -you!

    • rae

same here where do i choose the size and gender?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

After you get the code, you go to the Thredup site and choose a box. When you’re there, you can select the gender/size.

  2. Kristy

🙁 My credit is not showing up> Anyone else have it show up later?

    • Kate

Mine showed up and then I signed up for one for my sister and no credit. Not sure why? 🙁

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks !Signed up and got the credit!

  3. Tiffany C.

Has anyone asked Deal Pulp why some are and some aren’t getting the $5 credit? I have tried it twice to no avail!!!

  4. ms_eeyore6380

This stinks it’s only for new Thredup customers!!!! I’ve been using them for about 7 months and they are great but all the great sign-up deals are only for newbies.

    • aysha

can you explain the program a bit more clearly if you have been using them for 7 months? (amoiunt of clthes/clothes quality/ prices after this promo, etc) thanks!

      • Leighann

Look for my comment on the 1st page of comments. I explain how ThredUp works.

    • Lisa

I don’t understand why you can’t use it? I am not new to ThredUp, but $6 is better than $15.95 for a box. Did I miss something? Don’t we just get a code to use?

      • Lisa

hee hee…just read the fine print. New ThredUp customers only, lol

        • Leighann

My husband is very good at signing up for the New Customers Only links 😉 He doesn’t always know he did it until after he gets home, though lol

          • Lisa

I should have done that, but I already canceled the order, and I can’t reorder. Oh, well.

I also could have given the giftcode as a gift, then had them use my referral link, and I would have “made” $4. My brain is slow today. But another deal will come along!

  5. Lisa

I just got the $5 credit and the deal went through! So excited!

  6. Ashlee

I signed up for a ThreadUp account so I can buy my box once I get the email from DealPulp and now they are saying that they are sending me 10 boxes so I can send them some clothes back. Did that happen to anyone else? I feel bad that they’re sending me boxes when I don’t have any clothes to send in to them?

    • Leighann

That always happens when you sign up for them. You can hold on to the boxes and use them later, if you do decide to send a box back to them.

  7. Erin

PLEASE NOTE: I bought my first thredup box and they are telling me that I owe a box. I think this means that you are SUPPOSED TO OFFER A BOX for every box that you buy. For most of us, finding enough clothes to fill a box shouldn’t be hard, but this deal can be deceiving (not Collin’s fault) since it isn’t made clear that you spend $1 AND a box of gently used clothes.

    • Leighann

You do not owe a box unless you are wanting to take a 2nd box.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They’re are telling you that you owe a box because it’s a swapping site. The idea is to purchase a box and then start swapping with clothing of your own. It’s not a site that you would use just to purchase clothing. You don’t owe anything but $1 unless you choose to continue with Thredup. You can stop using the site after you receive and rate the member’s box that you chose.

  8. Kelly

Anyone else having a problem with new sign ups that say your email address is invalid?

    • Lizette

Yup. It did it to my sister too and to my mother in law. I think their site may be glitching.

  9. Janet

I am going to try this deal once and see if I like this site… I already like http://www.outgrowingin.com and I have been involved with them only a couple of months now but with no complaints!!!
I got the $5 credit qhen u first posted this but my sis in lawcant get her credit and I talked her into trying it, eventhough we absolutely like the other site already. Plus a box of clothes is cheaper and u don’t have to send in a box in return…

    • Leighann

You don’t have to send in a box for ThredUp unless you’re wanting to get more boxes. You don’t have to send in a box in order to take advantage of this deal.

    • Anonymous

Just checked out https://www.outgrowingin.com and before they let me pick a box, they’re requiring me to list a box, and then will only let me pick 1 box for every 3 I list.

  10. Kristen

    No credit for me either!

  11. Amber

I hate that others are not getting the $5 credit? I just signed up under Collin and received mine and purchased the box for $1! Hope others get their credit!

  12. Dawn

I still haven’t clicked the submit button—–but wow, I seem to do better just selling my kids’ clothing on Craigslist for a couple of dollars each. I have all Gymboree stuff and Old Navy and keep it clean…….I don’t want to “trade” for some crap, or miss out on all the good boxes that now it seems everyone will be looking for with their deals!! 😉

    • Cheryl

LOL Dawn, the ‘crap’ is probably really nice clothes in someone else’s mind 😉 I know what you mean though. I have a ton of clothes that I need to get rid of, and I don’t have much luck because people on CL for example want to pay me peanuts for what I think are really nice things.

Anyway, with that said…the 1$ box we will be buying does not require us to list, trade, and ship our own box. That is only if we want to continue through the site and get an additional box.

With that said LOL what sizes of clothes do you have available?

  13. Jolynn

Thanks!! I was new to signing up for Deal Pulp so I got everything for $1!! Can’t beat that! I didn’t fill out any info on gender and sizes, so I’m hoping that they email me asking for that before they send me the box.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I believe they will email a promo code that you then take back to the site and pick out your box. For the $1 you just purchased the promo code, not actually a box.

  14. Andrea

I just signed up and my credit worked.

  15. mirela

Also if you live in PDX area groupon has a sweet deal today. You get $25 Worth of Quality Consignment Apparel at Spanky’s in Vancouver for $12 and when you signed up through this link you get $10.
    https://www.groupon.com/r/uu6413518
So basically you pay $2 for $25 worth of clothes.

    • mirela

It seems like you’ll get $10 only after your first purchase.

  16. Renee

I created an account on Thredup when they first started but never requested or sent clothes. Would I still be considered a new customer?

  17. dorothy

When I signed up on the ThreadUP site, there’s a box that comes up first saying “some quick housekeeping…” – it asks name, address (etc.) but also has a box asking referral/promotion code. Is that in any way connected to the code we’ll receive from dealpulp?

    • charla

I think so. I stopped registering at that point and am waiting for my code.

  18. Lynsey

Kay, I am a little lost. I am worried about being tied into sending a box of clothes in return for this purchase and I am also curious to how they will know the size I need.

    • Leighann

You actually sign up for the box on the ThredUp page. Think of the DealPulp deal as a coupon you’re getting. You’ll make the actual box purchase on ThredUp, where you will be able to search for whatever it is you’re wanting.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re not obligated to send a box unless you want to choose a second box in the future. When you get the code, you go to the site and register. Then you pick a box using the search feature. You can choose gender/size/season. During checkout, there will be a box on the right-hand side. Enter the code there.

  19. TIFFANY

WHAT A MESS! Thanks collin, I didnt get the credit but I bought the deal for $6 anyway….still a great deal…I just hope the site isnt always such a hassle or this slow!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

IS it just me? Is the site going really slow or what?

  21. kt

I see the credit for my $5, but I don’t see where I can say what gender and size range I want….any suggestions?

  22. dorothy

did anybody, after signing up at ThreadUP, get this message:

“Congratulations, You’ve been selected to get your next box of kids’ clothes (or toys!) FREE… IF you pick a box before February 01, 2011 07:26pm PST!
That’s worth $15.95, so start browsing and grab a box now! ”

    ?

    • Anonymous

I did too! I was just getting ready to share that. Very happy about that!

    • SB

Sit just crashed 🙁 So wait a bit before trying again … LOL! Guess they have a lot of mommies who need clothes for our nameless hordes… 🙂

    • Jessica

I got that too! I ordered a free box, now I’m not sure if I’ll be able to use the dealpulp code. If not I’m going to have hubby or in-laws order the second box.

  23. Leighann

Colin, please post something on the Hip2Save site about how ThredUp works. There are so many people on here who are totally confused about how that website works and how the program works, and it looks like they aren’t reading the previous comments to find out (the main point of it being, you do not owe a box of clothes if you take just the 1 box with the deal). Thank you!! 😀

    • Meredith

Thanks Dee, I used your link.

      • Dee

Thank you Meredith, I am glad it worked 🙂

  24. Stephanie

How do they know what size/gender clothes you need?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You have to go to the Thredup site to register and select the size/gender of clothing you need.

    • Leighann

You choose that on the ThredUp website. Think of the DealPulp deal as a coupon you’re getting to use on the website.

      • Jennifer Poenitske

How do you pick the sizes?? I was able to list my kids and their ages, etc but they’re not in the sizes they’re supposed to be in….

        • Anonymous

Choose the “Browse Boxes” option. It is in a green box on the Home Page, above the icons of the kids. You’ll see some combo boxes, and from there you’ll get to choose what you want. There is also an advanced search feature that does…well, advanced searches.

  25. okmotherof2

I was able to get the $5 credit!

  26. Lisa

    TO USE THRED UP :
Once you buy this voucher you will be sent a code to use on ThredUp at check out.
THEN, join ThredUp and use the search boxes tab. Then a drop down menu will come up to select the gender and size. Boxes will be listed that shows the general contents, and you can select the boxes to get a more detailed listing if one is provided.

You “Pick and Pay” then use the code at checkout. HTH!

    • Jocelyn

I’ve waited over an hour for mine… Did your code email instantly?

      • joy

The code will come within 48 hrs.

  27. ellen

worked great for me, I just made sure I clicked on the link that mentioned getting the $5 credit..seems like a great idea, of course it can go either way, depending on whose box of clothes you pick..but, the price is right, so thanks Collin for the post, can’t wait to try it out!

  28. Steph

Maybe Collin maxed out her referral link and that is why you guys aren’t getting your free $5.

You can sign up through my link if you want: https://dealpulp.com/i/kvtn3ahf

  29. SB

I just used Collins link and it worked like a charm. I’m excited to see what actually comes in the box, once I go through the steps to request one… 🙂

  30. Allison

Fantastic deal!! Im a Goodwill, thrift store shopper for almost all of my son’s clothes, saving money is key!! I can’t wait to receive my first box and see what this is all about. I will also definitely be contributing by sending a box of outgrown clothes away!!

  31. joy

worked for me! Now waiting on my promo code 🙂 Thanks Collin

  32. Katie

Ok, so from what I understand I cannot get two boxes unless I am going to give them a box. Is this true? I was able to get the dealpulp code (just waiting for it to come now) and After I signed up on threadup.com (since I am new) it said: Special Offer: Your First Box of Kids’ Clothes is FREE
Congratulations, you’ve been selected to pick a box FREE…That’s worth $15.95, so start browsing and grab a box now!

Does this mean I choose one offer or another since I wouldn’t have anyclothes to send in??? PLEASE HELP!!! I only have until Noon tomorrow to find out!!!!

    • Jessica

I believe you can get 2 boxes. I also was picked to get a free box. If you look on thredup in the top right corner it should say swap balance 0, my picks 2. That means you can get 2 boxes without offering a box. So since I won a free box too I just ordered one and now my acct says swap balance -1, my picks 1. I still have 1 pick left. Now whether I can use the dealpulp code I have no idea. I will gift it to a relative to order for me if it won’t let me use it 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t know but thanks for posting, I signed up on thredup.com first and got the free box. a dollar is great but free is any better. I think you might be able to do two though because mine says you get two picks? I’d call and ask though.

  33. Ellen

Off topic but… I have an amazon 20% off diapers that expires today that I’m not going to use, does anybody want it?

    • Jaime

if you still have the code i would love it!

    • Amanda

Thanks Ellen! I did get the code and respond to your email, so you might want to check your spam folder. 🙂 but thank you so much!!!! My two boys will greatly appreciate having diapers for their bums!

  34. Jackie

I would love that, Ellen! my email is lenalynnejones@gmail.com
The $5 credit worked for me, but now I can’t get on to the ThredUp site.. anyone else having difficulty?

  35. chrissygwhite

Hey thanks for posting! I saw this in my email this am but forgot to look at it. Can’t beat $1 for clothes!!!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Can’t get through the thredup.com site, slooooooooooow….

  37. Michelle

I am so excited about this! I’ve been wanting to try ThreadUp but just haven’t gotten around to looking it up online. I can’t wait to see what I get in my box! If anyone wants to sign up through my link, here it is:
    https://dealpulp.com/i/2qv9avws
    Thanks Collin!!!

  38. maria

Does anyone have a $10 off amazon coupon they can spare? I need to order diapers!!
    mcrystal8403@yahoo com

  39. Sarah

    Site is down:(

    • Anonymous

yep, SUPER annoying. Been trying for hours. 🙁

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I would highly suggest heading over to Thread Up and checking for clothing sizes before purchasing this! I have been browsing the site and have not found much in the sizes I am looking for! Although they are offering a $5 credit for listing a box in the sizes they are low on. Anyway I am a little disappointed that I am not finding much in the sizes needed.

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just want to make sure that I’m not getting into something that’s going to cost me more money in the long run. I can purchase a box of clothes for $1 WITHOUT any future oligations and I DON’T have to send a box of clothes back, right?

  42. betty

Won’t take my visa debit rebate card. Anyone else using a citi rebate debit card by visa? It just declines it. Is it because the rebate debit card doesn’t have a billing address?

  43. Leah Woosley

Where do i put size… i just purchased the box assuming i would get asked at some point, but didn’t. now what do i do?

    • travis

      I would contact them. Immediately.

  44. Laura

I signed up thru Collin’s link and got the $5 credit. Bought the deal for $1 OOP no problem! Yay can’t wait to get the code and start “shopping”! 🙂

  45. Beedee
  46. Beedee

And this is what ‘hooked on bargains’ said after talking with a rep.

Update – I spoke with a rep on thredUP’s site and here’s what she said…

Stephanie: When members join they are allowed to pick a box prior to listing one
Stephanie: $15.95 is the total price of any box on the site without a deal
$5 + $10.95 shipping. does that make sense?
Stephanie: And then when they receive the voucher code they can pick a box and get it shipped to the house
So you can pick a box but you can not pick any more until they send a box
They could get one box….. but if they decide to keep participating they will have to list a box
Not for the first pick though

So you do NOT need to send in any clothing to get in on this deal. $1 for a box of used clothes sounds like a great deal to me! 🙂

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just signed up through Collin’s link and it worked fine. So, it’s not maxed out.

  48. JessicaB

I got the $5 credit. Thanks Collin!! I have never heard of this site, but I will check it our shortly! 🙂
