Finally, Finally…. Sweet Success! Yes, I did it. I printed the buy one Special K cereal get one FREE 12oz Special K Original or 13.6 oz MultiGrain Oats & Honey Cereal (up to $4.49 value) coupon! I cannot believe I got the darn thing to print! Oh but it was sure worth it! 😀

Thanks to Totally Target for posting about this coupon earlier today, I finally kept trying and realized the way to actually print the coupon is to create a new account! So here goes…

Head on over to SpecialK.com and look in the upper right hand corner – make sure you are NOT signed in. If you’re signed in make sure to SIGN OUT (this is key!). Next click on the “Get Started” link below the big red heart and create your plan. Go through the process of creating your plan and after choosing your start date, click on the “Save” link (red box – upper right). Now you will need to create a NEW account (do not login to your old account). To create a new account, you’ll need a new email address. Think about signing your hubby up or another family member. After creating an account, you can scroll down on the questionnaires and click on the “Skip” link. Finally you will be able to click on the coupon link and print your very own buy one get one FREE coupon! Hit your browser back button to print a total of 2 coupons!

Now, I know that was quite a bit of work to get this coupon… but this printed piece of paper will make for almost FREE cereal at various stores! Here are a few deals you can score:

This week at Rite Aid…
Buy 4 Special K Cereals $4.79 each

I got 2! I thank you, and my hips thank you!

  2. missdeally

I printed this fine just by creating a plan then logging in to my existing account. they must have fixed the problem. It also printed two automatically without me having to hit the back button. Free cereal plus overage at publix next week the the 1/2 target stack! Yeah!

  3. Julie

If you have a Fred Meyer close by there is a coupon for 5 for $10 or $2. So after the BOGO coupon it would make them 5 for $6 or $1.20 a box!

  4. mandy

My coupon says the it is good UP to a $4.49 value. Does that matter at Rite Aid, or not since their boxes are $4.79 a box?

    • Kari H.

It does matter…..The cashier should take off the $4.49 and then you be left to pay the other $0.30…still a good deal!

    • Kari H.

I just saw this comment so you might could try it….

Btw, if you are a gold member at rite aid, each box rings up as $3.83.

      • Kokenberger

        what’s a gold member?

  5. Ann

i have tried this repeatly, and nothing. I signed in, signed out, no cookies, redid the plan 10 times and no coupons!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the coupon twice but it won’t print! Now it says I have no more prints available. 🙁

    • Nikki S.

      Same here.

      • anon

If all else fails. This coupon offers the “snail mail” coupon when you click the “help” on lower right hand side of the “Print Coupon screen”. I opted for the snail mail for my print due to a big ad that prints before the coupon and I’m about out of ink!

    • rebecca

I emailed them about my problems, and they’re snail mailing me the q’s. probably not in time for nextweek, but hopefully it’ll have a long outdate!

  6. Laura

They just posted on their FB page that they’re experiencing technical difficulties with the coupon and will let us know when it’s fixed.

  7. Rachel

Kroger has Special K on sale for $1.99 if you purchase 4 Select Varieties. This could make a great deal! Kashi GoLean cereals are included in the sale. I printed a $1.00 off coupon online for it, too. Also included are Nutri-grain bars and Special K bars.

    • joscobey

My local Kroger refused to accept this coupon, stating they do not accept any coupons for free or BOGO free. I have used this type before at Kroger. What really upset me was that the supervisor was so horribly rude to the cashier, rebuking her and treated me like dirt. I emailed Kroger for their policy and complained to the manager today and did a contactus on their website. Would you let me know if you are able to use this coupon at your Kroger? I am in Memphis, TN. It was one of those experiences that leaves you quivering because the employee was so loud and obnoxious that it is hard to rise above it…

      • Nichole

I did this deal at my Kroger here in Knoxville yesterday. I had an issue a while back with a bogo internet coupon and was told the same thing you were because it beeped. I emailed Kroger and this is the response:

        Dear Ms. :

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. Please see our Internet Coupon policy below:

Internet Coupon Policy ALL Banner Stores!!
We only accept printable coupons if they scan properly at checkout.
We do not accept “FREE product” printable coupons, with no purchase requirement. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable but will be MUCH less common than traditional value-off coupons.
We do not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value without advance notice. Legitimate PAH coupons will not be for a high value relative to the cost of the item. For example, a $2 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5 or more, but a $2 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear out of proportion or blurry, or are obvious duplicates. Legitimate PAH coupons are never copied, sold or traded. Nearly all coupons are “non-transferable” meaning they should not be photocopied or scanned and distributed to others.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear to have been altered in any way.

I hope that this information is helpful. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at 800.576.4377.

        Sincerely,

        Hope this helps!

        • Delilah

Which Kroger did you go to in Knoxville? I use these type of coupons all the time at the new Kroger on Broadway and never have any trouble…………..

          • Nichole

I go the one on Broadway & Ashville Hwy. The only place I ever had an issue was Ashville Hwy and that was only because when a bogo internet coupon beeped, the manager didn’t know the real reason behind the beep so he told me that it was because they couldn’t accept free item internet coupons at all. I emailed Kroger and now keep this response with my policies but really have had no problems since. From reading different responses, I guess it just depends on the store, manager & cashier.

            • Delilah

I used the b1g1 on the special k last night and made money:) They rung up for $2.99 each and with the coupons and pg deals I got them free, because the register said I paid $3.99 for them, so they paid me .02 for them:) I went to the one on Broadway, but I also like the one on Clinton Hwy, too!!! I never go to the one on Ashville Hwy, because they have always been so rude!!!

    • Susan

I noticed in yesterday’s Kroger add that you will get $4 for buying 4 Special K products at $1.99 each. I am going to stop by there today and see if I can’t get them for free with the buy one get one free coupon. I hope that I don’t have the problem that joscobey had. Will let you know. Also, you can get 50 free points at Disney rewards with their magic code; cool

      • Susan

Well…I went to my Kroger store and bought the cereal. The register priced them at $2.99 each and only deducted the $4 off at the end. I explained to the cashier that I felt like the add for the cereal was misleading. The add made it sound like the cereal was already priced at $1.99 per box and the $4 off would make them .99 each. There were other products in the add that gave the price before AND after the cash back, why not the cereal? He suggested that I speak to the manager. I did and explained to her why I felt like the add was misleading, she agreed and gave me my $4 back, which made my cereal free! She was an AWESOME manager and I’m going to notify their corporate office and tell them so!

  8. Emily

Btw, if you are a gold member at rite aid, each box rings up as $3.83. That makes it a $1.34 money maker after you get the 5. up and the (4) 1. ups. Happy shopping:)

  9. joy

Not sure if anyone here shops at Publix (LOVE that place!!) but this coming week’s ad beginning Wed or Thurs (1/5 or 1/6) depending on your area, the Special K will be BOGO so that means 2 free boxes of cereal. Yay!! 🙂

    • Liz

Thanks for the information about Publix. I usually don’t shop there but will before next Tuesday. I just printed both of my coupons. Yaay!

    • Danielle

Was reading through comments trying to find a good deal on this since I don’t have a Rite Aid in my area & this is awesome!! Yey for Publix!!

  10. anna

finally!!! yah!!! THANKS FOR THE INFO.

  11. judy

Thank you … off to RA to see if there is any product left.

  12. Angela

    OMGoodness !!!! IT finally worked 🙂 🙂

  13. autum

I can’t believe it either. The prices on these cereals are ridiculous considering how little they are. I think I got enough Honey nut cheerios to last me the whole year, and my husband thinks so too.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If you have a Brookshire’s near by, I just received their ad (Ft Worth, TX), and saw Special K Cereals, selected varieties, on sale for Buy 1 get 1 for 1 cent. Paired with this coupon, sounds like some nearly free cereal to me!! WOO HOO!! THANKS COLLIN!!!!

  15. tiffany

WooHoo!! Finally was able to print mine. Thanks so much. I may do the RA deal both this week and next week. Awesome!!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you for posting such a great deal!!! Just got back from Target and bought all 4 boxes of 12oz. Special K for $2.00 = .50 cents per box. Yeah!!! Used 2 buy one get one free, 2 $1/2 Target coupon and 1 $1 off 3 Special K Target Coupon.

  17. valerie

I have a question. For the Rite Aid deal next week. You said its buy one at 4.79 and get one free. Say I get 4 boxes total comes out to 9.58 with the B1G1 Rite Aid deal then I use my special k BOGO coupon for the remaining 2 boxes totaling 4.79 for 4 boxes 1.19 a box. Do you think that will work?

    • Jen

If you are buying 4 boxes, you should use 2 bogo coupons to get the best deal.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yea finally got the coupon to print 😀

  19. Michele F

can not get mine to print!!! WHere is the coupon at after I sign up?

  20. Michael

This week Publix has bogo special k so use :
Grab 4 boxes of special k cereal
Use 2 special k coupons at $4.49 value
=free cereal plus a little overage

  21. esther

i don’t see the coupon link even after i created a new account and created a plan…=(…
i clicked on the link to create a plan and at checkout get a coupon, but at the end there was no coupon. Where should i be looking?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

After you click to “save” your plan next will be to register then click on continue which will bring up some questions about your breakfast eating habits, you can answer or just click or skip then a print Q will come up.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        I didn’t even see any survey questions….

  22. lovinglife2005

    Got it and Thank You!!

  23. Holly

I got to take advantage of this deal today! I was able to get four boxes for free since I get 10% off of all my purchases…AWESOME! I love this stuff, but never buy it b/c it is so expensive! Thanks!

  24. Michelle L.

    Help!

I made it through the whole process, but when I click the print coupon button I keep getting “We’re sorry we don’t support your printer or one of it’s settings.” It wants me to uncheck the “keep printed documents” box, but it’s NOT checked. I’ve cleared my cookies and unchecked my print preview box and nothing gets it to print.

Can anyone help before I just request the darn thing through postal mail?
I wanted to use it at Rite Aid next week but it probably won’t arrive in time through the mail.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!!

    • Ashley

Can you remove the application? I have a mac and this happened once. I was able to uninstall the coupon application and reinstall it. I haven’t had a problem since.

  25. Christina M

I have tried so many times & its just not working!

  26. Hannah

Can you buy four of any flavor?
For example four of the Special K Red Berries and get them all for FREE at Rite-Aid
OR will i have to get the ones it states on the coupon?
    PLEASE HELP

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, the coupon says buy ANY Sp.K but only GET either the Original or the Multi-grain Oaks & Honey free. So 2 of those will have to be these 2. Knowing the inventory at RiteAid (very limited), I think they will not have the multigrain. I’ll have to stick with the Original. Still a good deal… maybe.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I must have been lucky because I printed 2 copies from logging into my existing account with no problem at all.

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Got my two coupons today…woohoo!! No problems whatsoever…

  29. Lorna

I tried to use it at Walmart today, and the cashier said the register would only give me 99 cents off. So I whipped out my copy of their coupon policy and showed him where it said they accept BOGOs. He said there was nothing he could do since that was the way the register worked.
I left the following post on Walmart’s facebook page
I was shopping at the Valencia Rd Walmart in Tucson, AZ this morning. I tried to use a Manufacturer’s Internet Print Coupon for Buy 1 Get 1 Free Special K. The cashier told me that the register would only allow up to 99 cents off. On the bottom of my receipt the following message is printed: “We gladly accept valid manufacturer internet coupons.” In addition, I’d like to point out that your corporate coupon policy states: “Walmart accepts the following types of coupons…. (Bulleted point 2) Free merchandise (or manufacturer’s Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons.” Well apparently my local store doesn’t know this, and I’d like to know why my coupon was not honored at this store. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

    I’ll post when I get a response.

  30. Ashley

I saw several who had problems printing…I have an extra coupon (somehow I printed 3) and I don’t need more than 4 boxes of cereal. I’d be glad to mail the other coupon to the first person to email me their address to packprincess@me.com

    Hope this helps someone!

    • Ashley

The coupon has been taken. 🙂

  31. Brenda

At my local Fry’s (Kroger) in AZ the Special K cereals are on sale for $2.99. If you buy 4, though, you get $4.00 off courtesy of Kellogg’s. So, I bought 4 boxes of cereal, which rang up at $2.99 each. Gave my coupons to the clerk, who credited my total for 2 boxes ($2.99 X 2 = $5.98). So, total then was $5.98 for the remaining charge for 2 of the boxes. With the $4.00 credit from Kellogg’s, my total cost for all 4 boxes was $1.98 or less than 50 cents per box! Yippee!!!

  32. Lpmousse

I just got 2 coupons. And I had gotten them before. I love giving this stuff to the local food bank! I gave them the 2 I got free today. 🙂

  33. Trudy

South Florida Publix stores have Special K BOGOs starting today! That means free Special K if you use the coupon!

  34. AMBER BAILEY

I followed the directions just as Collin listed, but still could not find the coupon link! I e-mailed Special K and this was their response.

“Thank you for letting us know that you have had problems printing our Special K coupon. we are glad to hear you were able to customize your plan. Our technical team has become aware of some issues with this link and is working on correcting it. We will be sending the coupon by postal mail; please allow 7-10 business days for it to arrive.”

So, if you are having problems accessing the coupon, then e-mail Special K and they will MAIL the coupon to your house! 🙂

  35. sarah

I did the special k deal today. I nought 2 special k cinnamon pecan and 2 special k granola. My 4 $1 UPs printed but not the $5 UP. who do I contact to get my $5 UP? TIA

    • daffodil

I did the Special K deal at Rite Aid also today. Only the 4 $1 +ups printed. The manager pointed out to me that the $5 +up was only for the three Special K items printed in the ad, and does NOT include the cereal!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had no idea the value was only up to 4.49. My cashier took off 4.79. I did this deal a couple times this week and each time I got 1 5 dollar UR and 4 1 dollar UR’s. Also, they let me buy 4 of any kind. I didnt get any regular or any multigrain!
