At some point during checkout I entered in the code without any dashes, the letters all uppercase. (Sorry I can’t be more specific than that cause I don’t remember exactly what page it was on.) I have amazon prime right now, and I purchased one each of the trike and steady ride (they were both in my cart at the same time and I purchased them together–not separately). No offense, but I highly doubt that Amazon would sell a recalled trike and I am also 99% sure that Fisher Price has pulled them from their shelves. I am sure they have fixed the issue and have replaced them accordingly.
Thank you for posting this, I saw this article too. I’m not sure it is the same toy but the pictures look the same and I would rather be safe than sorry! Just a note on recalled toys being pulled from the shelves…I recently bought a toy from a well-known toy store which I later discovered has been recalled. I took it back and the store gave me my money back no problem, but stores do accidentally sell recalled toys. I have heard of this same situation happening to others also.
The stock photo looks like the key is flat, not the large ones that stick out that were hurting kids, so they may have updated them 🙂

i highly doubt amazon would sell a recalled toy as well but there are thousands of markeplace vendors that amazon promotes that do sell recalled and unacceptable items so it pays to be careful
It has the flattened key for sure. If you look at the picture images for the bike, It shows a picture of where the key is and it is indeed flat.

The Ready Steady bike has a few negative reviews about children goin head over handle bars. I decided against this one and got Thomas only because our driveway is slanted dowhill. Just in case anyone else had a slanted driveway 😉
