My 16 month old daughter really likes board books. Any suggestions on titles of books for the little ones?
I’m not sure yet if it’s included in the sale but Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? is cute and age appropriate – lots of sounds like moo, bzz, drip, drop, tick, tock, etc.
I’d be careful when ordering the board books though. I read during a previous Dr. Seuss deal that the board books are often abridged versions so they’re missing some of the rhythm/rhyme/cadence that make Dr. Seuss books so fun.
My son loves that one. I can actually recite it by heart, since I have read it so much.

Yeah!!! I was considering buying Dr. Seuss’ books @ Target because it was 2 for $10 but shipping was monstrous so I waited… and Thank God I did! I’m studying to be a teacher (early child hood education) and one of the books that is highly recommended for adults to read to children is the Dr. Seuss’ ABC book. This book has great reviews when it comes to children learning their ABC’s. I also have a three year old and want to buy this book for her but I was waiting for a deal where I can purchase a bunch of books together. Thank You Collin! =)
We’ve had to read that book every night since he got it about 3 weeks ago. He has it almost memorized by now, but it is helping with his pronunciations of his ABCs!
LOL my son (four) brought this book from the library yesturday ..loves Dr. Seuss…hated this book said its the worse one Dr. Seuss ever wrote..I think cause I made him read the letters and some of the words.
The $3.00 ones are board books????? That’s what someone said on one of the reviews….
What is a board book ? I haven’t ordered any yet bc I wasn’t sure if I wanted a board book. How much smaller is it then a regular book and is it not paper pages or something. I’m a 1st time mom and I’m confused LOL
Board books are smaller in size and have hard pages not paper. I get them for my 1 year old, because she can’t destroy it. I like to leave some in the car for her to “read” when we are running errands.
You don’t know my 2 year old, he has destroyed all of his board books, there isn’t any book that my little one can’t destroy unfortunetly ! He loves reading books but I am going to have to wait till he is old enough to not be destroying his books first before getting anymore books.
LOL…..this was so true for my son when he was little too. He destroyed all of his board books. He is now 4 years old and loves reading and takes very good care of his books.
FYI EVERYONE I READ THE REVIEWS ON ABOUT 3 OF THE 3 DOLLAR ONES AND IT SEEMS THAT THEIR BOARD BOOKS NOT THE REGULAR SIZED DR SUESS BOOKS.
I would not recommend buying the board books as it takes away from the story.

hmmm… theres a wocket in my pocket says hardcover not board book and says it has 24 pages but the dimensions and only like 4 in wide and 5 in tall?? wondering if this is a “great deal” or not… my kids love books so its tempting…. i know they have the full size ones sometimes at kohls for $5…..any thoughts?
That’s definitely a board book. They are counting each board front & back, so it’s technically 12 boards.
These will be perfect for my 10 month old! After reading the reviews on the walmart site, I’m pretty sure the $3 books are board books, but they’re just what I need and at a great price! Thanks!

Just hope everyone knows I think these are the small baby board books that are the abridged version. Still fun, but more for the little ones.
The $3 books are board books and shorter versions of the stories. They have been perfect for my youngest who doesn’t have the longest attention span. I got a couple more of those plus some of the $5 ones. Good deal!

I bought a few of these books last time Walmart had this deal, and I was disappointed on how small they are. I didn’t think the stories were gonna be different, but they are much shorter than the regular books.
If anyone needs gift ideas for birthday parties for 5year plus, the book My Book about Me: By Me, Myself is $9.00 and it is awesome and by Dr Suess. It is a book where the kids fill out the pages or fill in the blanks. it becomes a book about them and when you put it away…It is a beautiful keepsake. To look back and see what your child wrote and thought at the time, is priceless. The hardback book is $9.00 plus free shipping. I love this book and cannot say enough.
