As I mentioned back on February 24th, the Mission Facebook page had “Chips Across America” promo. As more people “liked” Mission on Facebook, the tortilla chips moved from Los Angeles to New York City and the coupon value increased. The chips made it all the way to New York City by March 2, 2011, so the coupon value did in fact reach a FREE bag of Mission chips! On March 4th, which is today 🙂 , you can head over here to claim your coupon.

it’s case sensitive so make sure you enter it exactly as you inputted it before.
It was live for me and I printed my coupon. Keep in mind you would have had to sign up last week with your email to get a free coupon, its only good for those who signed up during the promotion.

Does anyone know who sells this brand of chips? I know my local stores sell the actual tortillas…but I’ve never seen the chips!

not sure on the brand…but our Walmart sells them here so maybe check there? I believe they come in a paper bag as opposed to the plastic bags so you’ll want to look for that. Good Luck!
Got it! It’s a PDF for a free bag up to $2.99. I don’t know any stores that will take coupons for free items 🙁
My walmart took my coupon this morning for my free coffee mate. Which is odd since I have trouble using a $1 Q for an item that is .97. So I am assuming they will take this one too.
If you take an old Walmart receipt with you, the bottom says they gladly take all valid manufacturer and internet coupons.
It says the promotion has ended 🙁 Missed this one 🙁

Me too. I think it’s because my email address that I use for couponing is different from the one I use for Facebook. Bummer! You’d think they could figure this stuff out!

I printed my coupon, but I’m concerned that some retailers might not accept it. It prints kinda small and it’s blurry.
I thought most retailers do not accept any FREE coupons, so I’m with you on this.
I printed mine, but I seriously doubt anyone will accept this coupon. It screams fake, even though it isn’t. It’s blurry and small. Oh well, we’ll see I guess!

Yes, blurry and small. You need to put it under a microscope (joking but almost) to read the fine print and see the address where it needs to be sent.

hmm, I hate it when coupons expire so quickly on new products. I can’t say how many times I printed free coupons on new products and they expire bfore I can find them in any local stores. They tell me at the store, they have not yet added them to their inventory in this area.
these aren’t new. i’ve seen them around forever. you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding them.
Hmm…I printed mine and its a bit blurry too. I don’t know any retailer that’s going to accept a printable for a free product, unless they arranged something with them prior to this.

I don’t know if this will help any, but I had to be reminded that this freebie is linked to the email address you have tied to your FB account (mine is different). Ah, that’s why the email I typed in the first time didn’t register! Good luck, I got mine, now I’m hoping the store will accept it….we’ll see!
I used a different address than my Facebook one. I normally use a different email for these promotions, and never had one not work yet. Mine is printed out and I think I will look for my favorite checker at Walmart who goes out of her way to make these coupons work.
Mine printed fine. For those concerned about it being fake, you should have a unique ID# on the left hand side, underneath the picture of the chips. I printed one for me and one for dh and the #s are different. I’ll just bring the entire sheet b/c at the very bottom the web address prints as well.
I just wish they would mail Freebie coupons, b/c some stores do question authenticity.

Same here, can’t find my email, what a joke. Oh well, less fat and preservatives for me and my body, they can keep their coupon. After Collin put the ‘Eating Clean” magazine promo up last month I’ve been on a health craze, already lost 6lbs, only 5 lbs to go (still nursing baby so its hard to get it off without effecting my milk, lol!! Just printed mine but I know the stores here where i live including the commissary will not take it, i’m kind of disappointed. I guess i’ll try to use when i go to the store. I don’t blame the retailers for not accepting suspicious looking coupons because people do abuse it, i know of people who would just keep making copies of this and go get as many free bags as they can get
its not a Pdf coupon. Your printer pop up looks like you can print more than one, which that will cause problems. BUT, each coupon has (or should have) a unique ID #. Mine says Created For : xxx. My hubbys has a different #. I’m sure the numbers can be tracked back to your email for those that want to abuse the give away by printing multiples.
both of mine printed with the same numbers 🙁 not that big of a deal to me but i think i wasted my ink because it didn’t print dark and clear to read. I’m sure it won’t be excepted. 🙁
I agree that it invites abuse but the coupon only states “one coupon per item purchased”. I also looked before I printed for any stipulations on number of copies.
Also, the part with the unique ID is separate from the actual coupon. I’m not sure that the actual bar codes are unique and identifiable. I’m guessing not.
I printed two, but given these parameters, I’m pretty sure the company is aware of any potential issues. Look at it this way: Some people could print ten or twenty and use them, while other people can’t redeem this type coupon and will never receive a free bag. I think the company intentionally did it this way. I’m pretty sure they would have to pay bricks to handle it for them and they may have deemed this way more cost effective.
i printed 2 with different codes on the left, but everything in the actual coupon is exactly the same. i don’t know if there really is a way to track it.
Entered email address and coupon printed with no problem lets just hope I don’t get the run around when trying to use it!!!! 🙂
I’m worried too about the small writing and blurry-ness . I have my printer set to print fast quality to use less ink. I printed it and got the blurry redeeming address area. Can’t go back and print on high quality, Did anyone else use high quality? If not, give that a try before you print and see if it comes out better. I know I have to use high quality on my printer for pdf. I had to do that on some Blue Bunny Ice Cream awhile back. But..if you all are printing in high quality, is it still coming out blurry?

I’m glad I didn’t go ahead and print this coupon out, because even if it isn’t a .pdf, there are zero stores in my area that will take an internet printed coupon for a free item. Our Wal Mart got hit really hard with those free Doritios coupons a while back, and since then they will take freebie coupons, but not if they’re printed from the internet.

This has been a very frustrating promotion. Not only did we have to wait a week and come back and check for a coupon, but it looks like MANY people aren’t able to print their coupons. Very, very disappointed with Mission right now.

No problems here; both mine & hubby’s coupon printed with different codes. Fortunately, my SuperTarget accepts PDF coupons without problems (knock on wood 😉

Just used this at Kroger here in Dallas with no problems! Well, it wouldn’t scan, but the cashier just manually typed in the numbers and I was off with my free bag!
didn’t have any problems printing my coupon this morning. took it with me on my already planned trip to kroger. it wouldn’t scan. they wouldn’t take it. this was my normal kroger. shop there all the time. never never have any problems with them taking a coupon ever. but the print quality is not real good and maybe that is why they questioned it. did ask where I had gotten it. oh well. try it again somewhere else. or maybe there again next time lol!
Looks like what could have been a very positive promo for Mission turned out to be a bomb. Not recognizing my email address either. 🙁
Why do they give us a coupon retailers will not take? My stores will not do printed internet coupons for a free item. and some will not do any printed coupons.
