Went to my Walgreens in Bremen, GA today all excited about the clearance post. I was very disappointed to find that none of the items posted were clearanced. I asked and they said it would vary at each store. I’m glad for the one’s that did get some great deals.
My wags had a HUGE area of NUTS on sale.. they were all the wags brand and were marked 75% off… I forget exactly where but they were in a strange place. Seems like over by picture frames.. maybe one aisle over from cereal. They had premium nuts.. like whole cashews and macadamia nuts.. YUMMY :). and deluxe mixes. The whole cashews, honey almonds.. reg. almonds.. no salt cashews were all marked .99 each. The prem. nuts like the cashew/maca. nuts were marked $.1.49… The exp. dates were fall 2011 and some not until 2012. THAT SAID.. do beware.. last year I bought a bunch in the same situation and the dates were good but the nuts in the bags were bad!!! The canned nuts are all good thus far. So stay away from the bagged ones. Also, you can freeze nuts… but would likely be better to remove them and put them into freezer bags.
I went to mine in Columbia SC and I found nut mixes for 1.29!! With M&Ms and peanuts/almonds. 17oz. You can’t beat that! I bought like 7 of them!
I went to Wags off 58 in Chattanooga, TN and got Michelinas Mac & Cheese instead of the Banquet Brand), pizzas, and Edys & Wag. Brand ice cream and had the pizza and Edys ice cream and it was GREAT! So happy for this post! It’s nice to have easy food once in awhile rather than always cooking from scratch!
I went to wags here in Houston Texas and I was soo lucky to find lots of the frozen food items also at 25 cents -75 cents . I also found Vidal Sassoon rollers marked down to about $2.59 from $9.99 lots of great clearances going on……
I went to my Wags in Chicago and everthing was marked down to only 30-40% off???
Hahaha, that’s Chicago for ya. Everything is crazy expensive, lol. If you can make it out to the suburbs, you might still find some. If there’s any left, anyway… There wasn’t much when I looked saturday/sunday.
The best deal at my Walgreens (Moscow, ID) had to be the Stouffer’s Skillet Frozen Meals on clearance for $1.59. I had a coupon from the Safeway Frozen Food Book for $1/3 and used it, then was DELIGHTED when a $2.00 RR printed out! So, got them for about $0.50 each!!
I was at 2 different Walgreens, just to pick up RX’s and was browsing the aisle, I got tons of items:
Ben & Jerry pint of icecream:$1.29
Gallon of Pet Whole Milk: $1.00
Mr. P’s frozen pizzas: .25 cents
Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine: .90 cents
Haagen-Dazs icecream(3.6oz): .37cents
Ore-Ida Easy Fries: .39 cents
Walgreens Fudge Bars(6pkg): .90cents
Clabber Girl Baking Powder(5oz): .24 cents
Clabber Girl Corn Starch(6oz): .24 cents
TollHouse Nestle Choc. Chips: $1.24
Powerades(36oz): .69cents
I live in the Augusta, GA area…they had tons more deals, I just didn’t need them!! Worth the trip for sure:)
has anyone else been able to use coupons on clearance items at wags???
