(Thanks, Liz!)
I hope everyone has a more lenient Whole Foods than me as mine is very rigid and would only allow one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon. Still a great price, however, for natural laundry detergent!
They also could not understand me using a second manufacturer coupon to save my life =) The manager just kept saying (over and over again): “But you’re getting it free.” I insisted (in a very kind way, might I add) that the store was giving me the free detergent and the manufacturer would still reimburse them. I even pulled out other store coupon policies that stated the usage of two manufacturer coupon against a B1G1 sale. He was confused and said: “Is that our policy?” I said: “No. I am just using it as an example. You do not have a corporate policy.” He said: “I didn’t think so.” Ha ha!
My store won’t let me use a Whole Foods and Manufacturer coupon on something……Got into a huge argument with them a few months back and never went back….
This price seems high to me…
Natural products are always higher. This detergent retails for $15, so a great deal with or without any coupons.
Mine is the same way! We haven’t made it out yet today and I’m hoping to after naptime – they wouldn’t let me use coupons on their one day deal when it was Honest Kid juice… I mean, I get that it’s already a fantastic deal but it was a manufacturer coupon – they just had to submit it for reimbursement!
Wondering, does this fall within The NEW Wal*mart coupon policy? Would they price match the BOGOF and take the Whole Foods coupon? I know they carry this product, just curious
WM doesn’t price match BOGO sales.
Those of you who are having a problem stacking the store coupons and manufacturers coupons, you should contact whole foods. When asked about this today, I was told from a manager that you can use both coupons on each item. I bought 4 bottles and used 8 coupons no problem. Seems to me like some cashiers/manager don’t want to take the time to manually punch in the coupons, which is what needs to be done with the coupons.
Could I ask which WF you went to? I called my store & they said that they do not have it on sale. They said it may be because they are a smaller store & do not have a lot of shelf space. Just wondering if it’s posted on their website somewhere- perhaps our bigger Dallas stores will have the sale. . . Thanks
double post 😉
I’m in Princeton, NJ. My sister also did the deal in Baltimore with no problem. I read somewhere that said it is a nationwide sale, but maybe just the east coast? I love my whole foods and have never had a problem stacking coupons. They are always super nice and give my kiddos samples everytime we are there. I am sad that it doesn’t seem to be the case at all whole foods. Maybe we should start a corporate coupon policy for them too!
Thanks. I tried to call corporate & regional to see where the sale is, but all calls go to voice mail. Perhaps they will cal me back before the end of the day- appreciate your help!
apparently individual whole foods stores have facebook pages. Just did a quick search to see if this deal was regional or what. The Cincinnati FB page talks about the deal, therefore I guess it isn’t an east coast deal like I assumed.
I have tried several times to stack at “Whole Paycheck” with no luck. I live in Austin and I know they are based here and I try to support them, but I’ve kind of given up. They are always super busy and I always come out of there feeling bad for trying to use coupons. I’ll stick to my Super Target. They have a lot of organic and my cashiers take all of my coupons!
I live in Austin as well. I shop @ the 6th and Lamar location have have used WF stacked with manuf. coupons all of the time with no problems. I haven’t tried @ the Research location.
I encourage others to write WF corporate for a coupon policy or something in writing that you can show employees when a problem or confusion arises. I will be doing it this weekend.
I wrote them over a year ago when I was denied their 10% bulk discount because I was using coupons. I was told by a cashier and the next level employee she called over my choice was one or the other. I got a call from someone at my local store who told me I was right.
I always have problems when I try and use a Whole Foods coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the same item. It ends up in a back in forth between me all of the employees the cashiers calls over-then we get into a discussion of the difference in meaning between 1 coupon per purchase and 1 coupon per transaction–meanwhile everyone in line behind me is huffing and puffing.
I live too far from a WF location to back down and not get to use my coupons– if I go there I usually am going with the plan to stock up an buy large amounts (ex: 10 jars of pasta sauce) and I almost always have a WF coupon and a manufacturer coupon for each item when I am buying in bulk amounts. I can’t just walk away and come back tomorrow or go to another WF location like I could when I lived in Chicago.
since we live on the other side of town…i just called our WF here in Madison WI and they said they are not running this promo….manager said “wish our store was!!” anyone else here getting the same answer?
checked the 2 near me (western suburbs of chicagoland) and they’re not running it either 🙁
I NEVER spend money in WF.
Instead, I print their pdf Q’s and use them very liberally at my Publix…usually stacking, like in the case of Muir Glen, Vitamin Water and 7th Gen-I use the 7th Gen on the multi-surface cleaner along with the man Q’s.
I would just advise you to watch out with 7th Generation Detergent. It made worn spots in my daughter’s clothes. We now have three more play shirts from Gymboree due to the spots. Others have had this issue too according to the reviews on Amazon.
I love this stuff!!
My Whole Foods (in Redmond- eastside of Seattle) didn’t have them B1G1- They did have a sticker on the laundry detergent that advertised a free dish soap with purchase though.
My Whole Foods in Hillsboro, Oregon didn’t have the deal. I even went up front and asked the Manager, they were clueless. :o( Where did this post originate? Wonder why the Northwest appears to be out of the loop…???
I just called the Minneapolis and St. Paul store – and neither had this promotion:( Glad I called ahead of time…..Bummer!
I went to the Charleston, SC Whole Foods and was told at the front desk they didn’t have the sale, and didn’t know anything about it. So it must not be an east coast thing.
Chicago does NOT have the sale. What a time waster.
I just got back from WF in Henderson, NV. They didn’t have the BOGO and wouldn’t let me stack the coupons. Wasn’t worth the fight.
I did this deal this morning at my local whole foods. I received an email a few days ago and the fine print at the bottom said it is valid: Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, and New Jersey.
That explains why they had no clue here in Oregon! Thanks for solving the mystery. :o)
@ Susan my family has been using this detergent for at least 4 years and never had any issues with holes, etc..
