I asked at all the McDonald’s in my area (Twin Falls, ID) and was unsuccessful 🙁 Was anybody else able to find these? I was curious as to where to find them.

Mel, I’m in Carlisle, which is normally called central PA. Any chance you used one of these McD’s? Not a huge Mcfan in this house, but what great plastic egg fillers for egg hunts!!!

I went to the one In Hopewell around Halloween and I was told that they never get the coupons.
I live in St Louis and there is only one store who ever sells them. It’s not right by me (like 10 other McDonalds but worth the trip. I’ll have to head up there tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

Our McD’s in Puyallup will let you use up to 4 at a time. Makes for a CHEAP happy meal (minus the toy but add in the ice cream and they forget the toy!!)

I have looked in Salem, and a few places in Eastern Oregon, but no luck. Wonder if Portland has them?
Hilsboro, Beaverton, Tigard areas aren’t doing them this year. I haven’t tried any portland stores yet but it sounds like alot of them aren’t. Gotta love franchises, having the option not to do things like this lol
The tualatin mcdonalds always has the halloween packs and valentines packs…so I’m guessing they will. What I’ve been told is that corporate stores always have them, but franchises have the option to sell.
Will stores that don’t sell them let you use them? If so I will totally stop in Tualatin on my way to Beaverton!
Last time I purchased the Halloween books (in Beaverton – Scholls Ferry), they would not work at the Tigard (hwy 99) stores. The fine print included the locations where they could be used – my guess, only the stores that were participating.
I live in Houston. We can buy them at Halloween, Christmas, and Springtime. My kids (and their friends) love them! I’ve also never had them tell me no to 2 coupons at once. 🙂

These are great, I picked up a couple at Valentines and forgot to give them away. Now when we’re out, I grab a burger and juice for my four year old and it makes my ice coffee seem affordable!

I bought some for my daughters’ during Xmas time (Winter Celebration Pack). I love them!! Looking forward to purchase some of them to use for the summer. I have 3 McDonald’s in our area and only one sells them. I tried to redeem these at the other 2 McDonald’s but they wouldn’t accept them because they were not “participating” in that promotion. YMMV. I am located in Sacramento, CA.

I saw them at our McDonald’s in Mesa, AZ. I asked how much they were and they said $2.00. Someone I know watched the movie “Supersized” recently and she said she would NEVER eat at McDonald’s again. I think the ice cream and fries might be safe though. I’m sad that our McDonald’s doesn’t have the chocolate ice cream anymore.
The whole point of Super Size Me was to show that fast food should only be eaten in moderation. Sadly, Americans are lazy and have grown all too accustomed to eating this type of food “on the go” instead of taking the time to take care of ourselves. We blame busy schedules, but, we create those. Think about what we’re teaching our children… we take time for what we value! McDonald’s every once in a while is fine… just not all the time.
I haven’t been to McDonald’s in forever (or any other fast food) and I am not skinny, LOL. Must be my own cooking.
Watch the comedy/documentary called “Fat Head” (streaming free on Netflix right now), its a critical reply to Super Size Me. He actually lost weight eating McD’s burgers…. =) Its hilarious & informative.
True. I think my friend wasn’t worried about the calories as much as what was in the chicken nuggets and things like that.

I visited several McDonald’s in my area (Darien, IL) when the Valentine’s booklets were being promoted and none of them had them and some knew nothing of them.
I called McDonald’s corporate customer service and was told that 85% of McDonald’s stores are NOT owned by corporate therefore they do not have to participate in these promotions nor do they have to accept the coupons purchased at other McDonald’s store.
The rep was also unable to provide me with any locations that might sell the coupons in my area because she “did not have a list of the McDonald’s stores that participated”.
This makes no sense though because I would imagine that McDonald’s corporate has to have tracking/stock/inventory for/of anything issued to the franchises.
Even more of a frustration…Why did they stop selling the original McDonald Land Cookies??? You know, the ones with a hint of lemon flavor. LOL
those cookies were my favorite. The dora and spongbob ones in the bag at the store taste really similar.

I live in northeast Alabama, and the ones in Marshall County usually do them. I haven’t checked for these yet, but will check tomorrow on my way to the grocery. I want to say last Valentine’s (2010) was the first time that I got them, for the goody bags for my kids’ class parties. They are great. Much better than putting a ton of candy in there. I also grab extra so that we can take the kids for a little surprise here and there.
(Note: where I live, I’m in Etowah County, but we live up on a mountain, while the rest of the county is in the valley, so we do most of our shopping in Marshall County. While Marshall County stores have these, the Etowah County stores do not, and do not honor them. So keep that in mind when purchasing. I think it has something to do with franchise ownership.)

if you call 800-952-2273 you can sign your kids up for the birthday club…you’ll get a coupon for a free happy meal on your child’s birthday. if you can’t find the booklets at least you can get a little freebie on your kiddos birthday.

I think the McD’s off I-55 on rt 83 (exit 273ish I think) should have these they have had them for other holidays.
Oh, and ours were $1.50, not $1.

They are $2 each and the mgr said there’s a limit of 10 booklet purchases per day!

I don’t see this mentioned, but all Corporate McDonald’s stores will have this coupon booklet. So, if your store looks at you like you have 6 heads, ask them where the nearest Corporate McD’s is. The corporate stores are owned and operated by McD’s, so they obviously participate in all promotions. Hope this helps everyone! We are still using our V Day ones, but since these have such a long expiration date, I might try to get a few now too. Good luck all!
