If you missed out on the free glasses offers from Coastal Contacts over the last few months, you now have another chance to snag a free pair!

Here’s what you need to do to increase your chances of snagging free glasses…

* Head over to the Coastal Contacts Facebook page now, “like” them and click on the “Free Glasses” tab (remember, this code will not be valid until Noon EST today, March 31st)

* Then head over to CoastalContacts.com and pick out your favorite frames (try to find between 3-5 frames that you would be happy with since many styles are sure to sell out quickly).

Giveaway Details/Rules

* Only the first 10,000 people will be able to use the coupon code to snag a FREE pair of glasses including the frame and standard 1.5 index lenses (note: you will need to pay shipping/handling charges which will usually range between $10-$15). Keep in mind that if you have received a free pair of glasses from Coastal Contacts before, then you are not eligible for this promotion; limit one free pair per household.

* This promotion is only valid for web orders. If you need help with your web order, call the optical staff at 1-866-333-6888.

* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.

* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.

* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15)

* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $30.

* Your free pair of glasses will include the standard 1.5 index lenses, which accommodates up to a -8.00. However, if your prescription is over a + or -2.00, you may want to upgrade to a thinner, lighter lens. If you choose to upgrade your lenses, or have selected progressives, Transitions or a tint, you will see the cost of the upgrade in your order total.

* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. They’ll even pay for the return shipping and send you a return label. Just give them a call at 1-866-333-6888 to make arrangements. Remember to keep your box and all the accessories that came with your order.

I was able to take advantage of this promotion about 2 months ago, and I am so pleased with both the ease of using Coastal Contacts website, and with the glasses. I really never imagined buying glasses online, but I learned how to read the code iside my current frames, and measure my eyes to make sure the lenses were centered. In fact, it’s the first pair of glasses I’ve ever gotten that wasn’t a struggle to adjust to. I wear them almost every day!
I upgraded to a scratch resistant coating with uv protection, and it was still only $27 with shipping. The frames I chose were $60 without the code!
    I highly reccomend Coastal Contacts.

I got mine with the last promotion, D&G glasses, with lenses for just $25! The frames are sturdy, prescription is perfect. Best. Deal. Ever! If you’re on the fence about this company I say go for it! The promo started about ten minutes early last time though, so make sure you have everything ready to go!

Got free glasses with this deal last month and love them! I know it may sound like it’s too good to be true, but this is probably the one and only time that it actually is true!

On a side note, last time they ran this deal, other posters commented about another company that offers discount glasses. Since I need to get a spare pair, could someone remind me who that company is?

Zenni Optical. They are great! My favorite pair of glasses I have ever owned came from there for 6.95. You can upload your photo and try on the glasses.Shipping is a flat 4.95 no matter how many pairs you order.LOVE them.

      • emilytwinmom

zennioptical(dot)com is the site to use. I pay $50 for my super high index glasses, my sons’ glasses are $25 each – that includes shipping!!!

        • bentleymommy

I have used them before too. They are great! Both my husband and I ordered a couple pairs and we are pleased with them. I prefer the ones I ordered as a backup so I would suggest doing that.

  3. Amanda

What does the standard shipping run with no upgrades?

    • suzski

      $10-$15.

    • bentleymommy

      For zenni its only $4.95!

  4. Erin

coupon is working now. Paid 16 for shipping.

Thank you so much for posting this each time they offer it. I missed it the first few times because I had to work during the deal, but I got it this time! Yay! I got some Joseph Marc glasses with wood sides and the lens upgrades (non-reflective, non-scratch, and some other thing) all for $32 shipped.

I really needed new glasses, too. Thank you!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    What’s the code

  7. Jessica

Could someone tell me the code? I can’t view flash on my phone on the website and its blocked at work!

  8. JennyP

I recieved a free pair of glasses!!!! I needed to upgrade the lense because my prescription is so bad, but I still only paid $42, shipped for glasses!!! AWESOME!!!!

  9. Kari

~ Mine cost a bit more because I have a stronger prescription, but the deal shaved a good 100 bucks off and paid just under 100 bucks for it. Seems strange getting them online, but because you can refund for any reason I decided why not try it out 🙂

My prescription is -5, and I pay $50 for glasses on zenni optical’s site. My entire family now wears glasses from zenni, and we are extremely happy. My husband got the transition ones, we all have polarized clip on sunglasses… and mine were the most expensive! My toddlers’ pairs are $25 each, and when one pair came broken they sent another pair immediately. I will say shipping takes around a week or so, but well worth the wait for the savings! Whenever I need them adjusted we just go to target’s optical center and they help us at no charge.

  10. Jessica

Woohoo! Nevermind google is my friend! Got it for $17!

  11. Lee

I missed the last round, but got a beautiful pair of Tommy Bahama frames today. What a great deal. The free frames and lenses allowed me to add lots of extras and with S/H it was still such a great bargain. I picked out more frames for future purchases as I’ve been watching their site and they have sales on their already low prices. Love you Coastal Contacts, and Love You too, Hip2Save.

  12. Lindsey

Yeah, I got my glasses!! Paid 17 for shipping and handling and insurance. 🙂

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    got mine

  14. Chrystal

  15. bentleymommy

    code is FREEUSA

Just thought I’d post about my ordering experience ~ having never ordered glasses online, I ran into a couple of small snags, but finally got it figured out. I found ordering to be a bit frustrating because of the links that didn’t work. When I sought out the customer service number, I found that both that number and their fax numbers listed are incomplete. When it finally came time to pay, my credit card was declined, and errors popped up. I finally had to pay via Pay Pal, using the SAME credit card that went through effortlessly.
Can’t wait to get my new glasses, though ~ thank you, Collin!!

  17. Jenny

This was the perfect opportunity for me to score a new pair of glasses for a very low cost ($50 shipped because I upgraded a few things)! They had some really cute frames to choose from, too. Worked out well since I broke my old pair a couple of weeks ago…
    Thanks!

  18. Melissa

Side Note: It costs a lot more for “blind” ppl. 🙂 my Rx is -6, so it costs about $60 for the thinner (recommended) lens for this high Rx.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That stinks…but is it still a good deal?

  19. bentleymommy

i know its one per household but could I ship another pair to my moms house?

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I just got my hubby a pair of really nice glasses for just $16 (Shipping and tax)!!! I got his script last time they were offered free glasses but it was too late 🙁 I held onto his script and got them for just about nothing this time! Our insurance only covers contacts or glasses and he chooses contacts. Last time he had an eye infection he had to wear his REALLY old and out dated glasses so this will be nice to have as a back up. I just hope they look good on him 🙂

  21. mary l bankhead

just an FYI. i ordered last time and kept the basic free lenses instead of getting thinner ones because i picked a thicker, plastic frame (joseph marc something.) though they are thick lenses, you can’t even tell because THE FRAME IS ALREADY THICK. stick with the cheapy free lenses if you are getting a thick frame. my prescription is -4.75 in one eye and -5.50 in the other (and that one has a bonus astigmatism–yay!)

That last part was my attempt at sarcasm…LOL.

  22. Heather

I just got mine in the mail from last week’s deal, and LOVE THEM!!! I just bought glasses with my insurance a month ago, and because my insurance doesn’t cover a whole lot on the lenses, I paid a lot of money for them, and they didn’t have any special coatings, etc. I decided to try the coastal contacts deal, and ordered a pair, complete with paying extra for the anti-reflective/scratch/UV coatings, and I have to say with shipping and the extras, paid 27 dollars out of pocket. Even without the coupon code it would be worth it for me to order from them, so next time I will!

  23. Aimee

So good! Thanks for reminding me of this promotion. I can’t wait to try on my new glasses.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Still working as of 3:30 PM PST…Hurry before they’re gone! 🙂
