I am excited to announce that BikesThatTeach is back for another giveaway! If you have a kiddo that is eager to learn to ride a bike but maybe you’re a little nervous about them getting injured, discouraged or both, then you’ll definitely want to take note of this giveaway.

BikesThatTeach offers up a wide selection of Balance Bikes that teach your toddler to balance on two wheels without the use of training wheels. With a Balance Bike there are no “tricycle tip overs” or “training-wheel wobbles” to create a fear, hesitancy, or dislike of bike riding.  The Balance Bike helps toddlers learn balance and coordination BEFORE pedaling, which develops great confidence. Your kiddo (as young as 12 months old!) will be able to just sit down and start to push the vehicle around using his or her feet for help. As your child becomes more confident, the next step is to run while sitting on the bike, and then finally to try gliding with both feet off the ground. Head over here to see some great Balance Bike Action Videos….you can even professionally fit your child with the right size Balance Bike with a FREE Online Balance Bike PRO-Fitting Evaluation meeting your child’s own unique size and physical specification.

In addition to Balance Bikes, BikesThatTeach also offers a wide selection of Skateboards for kids. If you have a kiddo as young as 5 years old who is really interested in learning to skateboard, you’ll want to check out these Termite Brand Mini Pro Skateboards. Thanks to the size and weight specifications of Termite Skateboards, these professional kids’ skateboards enable your kiddos to quickly learn the foundation fundamentals required to skate like the pro’s.

Thanks to BikesThatTeach, one lucky reader will win a Pv Glider Balance Bike ($99 value). Plus, another lucky reader will win a Termite “Sling Shot” Children’s Skateboard Combo Pack including Triple 8 Safety Pads and the ALL NEW “Lil’ Tricky” Safety helmet made of Light weight High Dense Rubber (a $173 value!).

In addition, BikesThatTeach is offering all Hip2Save readers 10% off any purchase over at BikesThatTeach.com with the coupon code hip2save10 at checkout along with FREE Shipping within the continental U.S. (BikesThatTeach will even pay your sales tax!). Keep in mind that this promo code will expire on Sunday, April 10th. If you prefer, you can even call in your order at 1-800-756-5022.

  2. Bonnie

Oh pooh! I realized too late that I typed my email address wrong in the form, and it wouldn’t let me go back. Any way you can fix it for me? I typed ‘mail.com’ but should be ‘gmail.com’.
    Thanks!

    • Collin

It’s been corrected in the entry form. Thanks!

  3. Niki

Great Giveaway. My daughter would be the happiest girl if she got one.

  4. Nicole

I think these bikes are really cool. I love that they have a kickstand! Most little bikes don’t have one and it is a real pain in the butt!

  5. Tonja Cutler Buchanan

It is so ironic you posted this because my son (3 years old) and I saw one of these bikes at the park the other day. As soon as we got home, I HAD to look them up and find out all about them. They are SOOOO neat!!!! What a great idea. We ride bikes as a family and my son rides behind my husband in a trailer, this product would eliminate the need for that. Awesome giveway 🙂

I just got my son (2.5yrs) one of these last week! At first he could barely move on it, and now he rides all around the house no problem! Also our neighbors got one for her daughter last summer, she was 2.5, and she could ride a real bike, no training wheels by the end of summer, before she was 3!!

oh wow!! my son needs the balance bike. He will be 5 soon and still doesn’t know how to ride a bike. He is a little small for his age so finding a bike that is perfect for him(height&weight) has been a challenge. my hubby was just came across the balance bike concept last week and has been searching for the best one for him. We saw one at TRU but the materials used were not good quality. I wish we had come across this earlier. My soon to be 1 yr old can also use it after him.
Good luck to all those who entered the giveaway!

    Hi Cara……
Here are a few critical tips on choosing a balance bike……….reach out to us anytime 🙂

2 TOP MISTAKES When Choosing a Balance Bike

1.) Choosing only by your child’s age category: 85% of children are not at the average height or weight range for their age group. You now have an 85% chance your child will not fit properly and safely with their new Balance Bike you have chosen for them based directly on age

2.) Appearance Only: Although the appearance in a child’s balance bike is important to gain your child’s interest but should not be the priority or deciding factor in your Balance Bike decision. A PROPERLY SIZED balance bike effectively assists with your child’s motor skill development, NEVER the color or flash of the Balance Bike.

#1 Rule in choosing the Right Balance Bike for any child:

1.) Get a Balance Bike Professional Fitting by an Expert: By requesting a Balance Bike professional expert fitting and have been directed to a safe and proper fitted bike you now have the correct sized balance bike to effectively and safely maximize motor skill development and stimulation in your child. Eliminate the frustration of falls and spills that can be very scaring for a child. You now have reassurance with your purchase without confusion.

    my son would love either!

  11. helen

a friends son had a bike like that and he learned to ride a regular one sooooooooooooo fast:)

  12. Jill

Wow I have tried many giveaways and never had any luck. Wouldn’t this be cool?

  13. maran

I know this is a silly question, but is the skate board easier to ride too? I mean, it seems like the bikes are easier to ride than your average bikes. What about the skateboards? My 7 year old has a tough time with balance/coordination, so I’m wondering if the skate board would be too challenging for him.

    • Bikes That Teach

      Hi Maran,
The answer is YES! A typical standard style street skateboard is a 7ply (plywood) deck that measures and average of 8″ x31″. Our Termite Brand Skateboards are a 6ply and range from the littlest of tykes a 6.75″ x 26.5 to 7.25″ x 29.75″. The deck is lighter than your average deck along with the length is a much more manageable size length opposed to a huge standard size deck that feel like a surfboard under most children. The trucks that hold the wheels attach to are super lightweight HI-End Grind King Trucks with high speed smooth roll bearings. Mini skateboard concepts are very similar to the balance bike concept in many ways. the most important is your child has much more control and comfort maneuvering a lightweight smaller Termite Skateboard which build your child’s confidence. I can speak by experience……..my son Giovanni age 6 has placed 2nd place in all the current El Dorado Hills, Ca. skateboarding contests for ages 10 and under. We owe all his talents to the mini PRO Termite Skateboards.

Reach out to with any further questions…………make it a better than great day!
