I stumbled on the Pepsi/People deal yesterday, and it didn’t work out perfect for me.
First – wish I had known about that $2 People Target coupon, but oh well.
I did get 2 of the slim can 4pks because I had the BOGO coupon, and the People was only $3.99 so I thought “what the heck, I’ll pay $.99 to see what the celebs are up to”…
At the register, my Pepsi packs were ringing up as $1.50 each, and I didn’t get the $3 deal. I looked at the receipt to make sure I got all my coupons, and asked the cashier why I didn’t get the $3 because it was marked on the sign by the soda. A manager came over and gave me a $3 cash refund as a “missed coupon”. Ended up being $2.40 for me without the People coupon, so yay!

Targets been having some good deals if you keep your eyes peeled for “Clearance” signs to match with your coupons. And do price checks on some items. I grabbed some Covergirl eyeshadow that said $3.14 but rang up at $2.89. Could of got more with my coupons if I had known that lol..so always check.

Do you have any CVS around?? When I tried to find Pepsi Throwback at my Target, I could not find them, but I found them at CVS! They have pop sale all the time and last time, I had 2 BOGO Qs, so I scored 4 boxes of pop for less than $1 each.

I thought it was an awesome article and love that Collin was quoted, but did you read some of the comments? I hate how people are so convinced that couponing is a vice! The show “Extreme couponing isn’t exactly helping that rumor either. It portrays couponers as hoarders, and greedy. 🙁
Also, so many people don’t realize that couponing isn’t just for junky stuff! It’s crazy…lol

The majority of those comments merely show ignorance of couponing methods.
While I still can’t imagine filling my garage up to rival a convenience store, I think some people don’t have the ability to stop and consider just trying it for a little while. They either want instantaneous results with no learning curve or they want someone to do it for them.
Everything from house cleaning to scrap booking can be hired out. Yes, some folks just do not have the time. Others just don’t want to try.
OMG! I got told that twice today. I’m not that crazy either! I was only buying a few body washes and two toothbrushes, excuse meee very much! I thought it was the finnuiest thing! I just love to save money, thats all!! : )

It’s a one time thing. After you use it, your phone will show the date it was redeemed.

I did this at Target on Sunday & the $3 did not automatically come off so I went to customer service & they said the $3 is the combined total savings you get from buying the Pepsi & People magazine since they are both on sale. I still felt like it was a good deal with the coupons though.

Heads up, there is ALOT!! of clearance. I only went in for a quick run (dr’s appt took longer than I thought so I only had time to go in for my list), but spotted lots of Air Wick marked down, the candles were $4.xx and the Renuzit Crystal thingys you put in a dish, were a little over $2.xx. Dove Mens+ Body Wash is $1.98 (only the Sensitive variety that I could see) – There is a nice stack to make it free with the $1 Target IP + $1 Manf q (not sure on insert date though)

I can’t remember which one it was in, but in the Sunday paper manufacturer coupon ads a couple weeks ago, there was a $1/1 People Mag coupon also. I used mine already (sad!!), so if it hasn’t expired that should be a good addition!
My Target doesn’t carry the Pepsi thin cans – is it regional?
Be careful and make sure the $3 comes off. It should be automatic, but it didn’t ring up for me on Sunday when I was there. I had to go through customer service to have my $3 refunded.
ok- went this morning to do the pepsi/people deal. Sign in front of magazine said 3.99 for magazine and 3.00 off if you bought magazine and pepsi. I did the 2 magazine deal so with my BOGO soda coupon and my 2 $2 off magazine coupons- my total should be free. However, magazine rang up at 4.49- I didn’t see this because I was getting a lecture from the cashhier about how I needed to use higher grade paper to print my coupons because some of them wouldn’t scan. I go to customer service expecting my dollar and after about 10 minutes the girl hands me over $9. I tell her 3 times she is mistaken-you only owe me $1-but she insists she is right. So Target gave me all my items for free today and paid me $3 to shop.
Woo Hoo for you!! Don’t you just love when you are totally honest and try to tell them they are wrong, but they INSIST, and you get to the point it isn’t worth arguing with them? Too funny.
WHY on earth does these manufacturers require a “screen name” in addition to an email address to get a silly coupon?! The screen name is usually taken…so you end up coming up with some obscure screen name that you never remember again….and never visit their site again.
I just spent 15 minutes on the WishBone site trying to sign up for a $.40 coupon and finally gave up when they kept rejecting my silly password and screen name.

Oh goodness… I went to 2 Targets today (they were both on my way home), and neither of them had this deal. When I asked them about it, they said they’d never heard of it. This Pepsi/People deal is highly regional, I think. I also had some other issues with Target, and they tried to tell me I couldn’t use a store and manufacturer’s coupon for one item. Then told me that they couldn’t adjust down the price of a coupon either. The people behind me got so mad, they slammed their stuff in their cart and huffed away. Oh well, not my fault cashiers do not know their own coupon policies!!
Was able to get 2 packs of the diet pepsi 2 magazine 1 regular people and 1 people country edition 2 wish bone dressings and 2 degree deodrants for 3.71 I couldnt be happier 🙂
Ugh – I was trying to save paper so I turned my Pepsi coupon upside down and printed the Wishbone coupon on the other side… or so I thought… it’s a full pager, so there’s writing over the barcode of my Pepsi coupon now! The square barcode is still showing and so are the numbers, so I’m going to give it a whirl and see how it goes! I tried clearing my cookies and all that but I still can’t print another Pepsi coupon. Bummer.

I went to target today and all the purex were gone, no skittle blenders, no wonka jelly bean fillers on sale. I still got the connect 4 for 1.99 (sent my rebate for free pizza!) and bought two olay for 4.99 and got and used two 2.00 off coupons and 2 target coupons and got back 5 dollar gift card yay!

My store in rochester n.y. didn’t take the $3.00 off I had to tell the cashier and the the person running the front end. they just didn’t understand??? She did move the price on people from$4.99 to $1.99 to give me the $3.00 but didn’t want to.. The pepsi at my store was $1.99 for the last few weeks but now is $1.50? I was in line for over 20 mins they act as if you where trying to get something with our paying when it clearly is there sale I even went and get the sign from the people rack to show them..Then she told me the two pack 3.2oz listerine bottle that where on clearance,for $1.48 that I could not use my $2.00 off coupon as these where travel size?? I used this same coupon in walmart on two of these bottles last week they are in the regular shelf with the bigger sizes?? The lines where long and everyone behind me was mad for me holding up the line, going back tomorrow and talking with the manager and if I can’t get my $2.00 coupon i’m going to retuurn them!!! At my Target in NorCal, the Skittles are called “Color Cores”, but they are the same as the Blenders and the coupons worked for them.
They didn’t have the blenders at my store in CT either, but it worked on the regular skittles.
My store isn’t taking the $2 off People Mag. The register beeps and when the manager came over she said it’s because the $3 off is taken off the magazine and the coupon would put the magazine below zero, therefor they can not take it! Anyone else having this issue?
TAke your coupon in to get money back, its a package deal on reciept. It takes the refund value off the pepsi too. If they want to be difficult tell them acording to policy they can take the 2 down to the $1.91. My reciept sd $2.41 refund value but they did charge 4.49 and not sale price of $3.99. I am going to get my super refund tomorrow.
My Target has the people magazine on sale for $3.50, so after the pepsi coup, people coup and the $3 off, it should have been $0.49! But I didn’t notice the magazine rung up as full price so I ended up paying $1.98. Oh well.

In my store People mag were tagged on sale as 3.99 , pepsi 1.99 so after all coupons all 4 were free. $2 coupon for People mag beeped for “item not found”or smth like this, but were pushed through.
PLEASE READ I MAY HELP YOU learn something to check on your state or county. Heads up, it is the people weekly that matches the coupon pic. I did this deal with only one coupon for each,and a .75cents off your next people TARGET catalina printed. So I went home grabbed more coupons went back and did again. B1G1 pepsi, $2 people, .75 people.$3 off package deal so 25cents the second time. Same cashier, very nice, I gave her all my extra so she could do too and the catalina people that printed again. But I just noticed both magazines wrang full price so they are gonna owe me $10 plus the dollar overage for the super refund. Guess better deal. FYI if your state or county abides by the weights and measures law they must pay you TEN times the amount up to $10 one time per same items in a transaction. Plus what they overcharged. I had two separate 2 hours apart. Target is a store you need always check reciept. My clearance aveeno wrang full price today because they where missing white overlay sticker. I did not do super cuz in a hurry, but now im not happy.
Had clearance aveeno body wash free after target $1and $2 recyclebank. Dove body wash free after stack, BUT when I went back someone grabbed them ALL. Clearance Gillette deo and axe body washes. Used B1deoG1 bodywash gillette, and used BOGO axe bodywash. Method clearance found a dollar coupon on shelf target and it had a 75cent peely pd 50 cents for AP cleaner. Clearanced items,lots in stationary end caps and electronics. Large kotex (50) tampon boxes $4.50. Secret deo,sprays,dove lots. No Airwick. Oohh the pepsi skinny where on an endcap only by waters, not visible by looking down the aisle. They only had 6pk smaller cans with pops. Make sure to check far end endcaps. Are they pushing kashi or what? talk about overload. Not happy I realized all the triscuits I bought for $2 sale, buy 3G1, EXPIRED. Soft scrub spray good stack too, 49cents after target and MQ. No deal on purex at mine.
