Hi Megan. Shopathome isn’t like the Foundry or the Rue La La deals where you use your credit toward a purchase, it is a check back like a rebate for shopping. So even if it did show up right away it couldn’t be used toward the purchase. Also, it doesn’t let you cash it out until you get to $20. HTH!

Sort of off-topic, but… I’d love to get this for my dd’s birthday coming up. She’ll be 10. Unfortunately, we are pretty down-and-out right now. I’m talking major struggles just to put milk and bread on the table for our kids. I homeschool my kids and my husband works nights (he’s in the Navy, 18 years), so I can’t just go out and get a job or I would. Any can’t-fail work-at-home ideas with low or no start-up costs out there? Please, I’m open to any and all suggestions!! (I do make and sell things on Etsy, but sales are slow.)

Have you thought about getting on childcare assitance and workng nights? Your kids can be in daycare at night and they will be sleeping – the state pays for the childcare and you work part time (like 3-4 graveyard nights a week).
Hotels have shifts like 11am-7pm. You just donight auditing, its done in about 3-4 hours and then a couple hours you have peace and just watch the place and help anyone who may come in or call front desk – then you set up breakfast if they have it for guests and check customers out until you leave. You can also use that couple of quite hours to grade your kid’s school work you have them do. You can take a nap before work.
When my 10 yr old was born and he dad was gone for a while, I had to do that – it wasn’t easy but it paid bills. I also had a newborn – she was only a month and a half old to care for in the day. I also took a bus to daycare and to work and back again. I had to leave 2 hours early and took me two hours to get her and get home.
Or, is there any foodstamps etc.. you may qualify for – also have you tried calling 2-1-1 for food banks in the area to help with some groceries each month.
Oh, I worked full time. But, I knew there was part time night shift available for my days off. So, maybe just part time for you ?

A legit work at home job is super hard to come by, I’ve tried for 3 years now…
So, for now, while still searching, I use http://www.keyforcash.com
It’s simple, boring, data entry and the pay is ridiculously low, but my goal is to get $30 a week (that’s the minimum to have before they will send you a check)…it helps towards groceries and/or gas…it’s not much, but at this point every little bit helps :o)
