* Only the first 10,000 people will be able to use the coupon code to snag a FREE pair of glasses including the frame and standard 1.5 index lenses (note: you will need to pay shipping/handling charges which will usually range between $10-$15). Keep in mind that if you have received a free pair of glasses from Coastal Contacts before, then you are not eligible for this promotion; limit one free pair per household.
* This promotion is only valid for web orders. If you need help with your web order, call the optical staff at 1-866-333-6888.
* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.
* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.
* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15)
* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $30.
* Your free pair of glasses will include the standard 1.5 index lenses, which accommodates up to a -8.00. However, if your prescription is over a + or -2.00, you may want to upgrade to a thinner, lighter lens. If you choose to upgrade your lenses, or have selected progressives, Transitions or a tint, you will see the cost of the upgrade in your order total.
* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. They’ll even pay for the return shipping and send you a return label. Just give them a call at 1-866-333-6888 to make arrangements. Remember to keep your box and all the accessories that came with your order.
I’m so excited, my daughter’s are on the Fedex truck for delivery. I made a mistake in my free pair order, but noticed it before the glasses shipped. I was so surprised when I spoke with a real person in their customer service dept. on a Saturday afternoon that not only canceled my original order, refunding the original shipping charge then asked me to please call back after I picked out a different pair, because they would be free. I thought that I blew my chance at a free pair by making an error that made me need to cancel the order. I was so pleased with the quality of their customer service and can’t wait to see how her glasses came out. Thanks Collin!

Next time you get glasses, ask them for a copy of your prescription, so you will have it on hand for deals like this. I always ask for a copy.

I just got mine. I got the tint, uv coating, and scratch resistant coating on mine. With the extra stuff and shipping my order came to about $60. Not bad for some prescription sunglasses. 🙂
I had my eye doctor fax me my perscription! It all worked out great got my glasses for 16.95. I so needed a new pair cuz my daughter bent my ones and the ones I’m wearing now the screw keeps coming out! Just hope I like them on me! Can’t wait!

I ordered the “free” glasses last time they had this promo. With no add ons it’s about $20 which is a great deal. I got my glasses and they were too wide for my face and the prescription was wrong, not sure if that was my fault! =) Anyway, I called and they emailed me a return label ASAP. Told me I had 30 days to exchange, which can be done on line and they add new frames each Friday. So I took my time to find some frames. It is VERY hard to pick them online! They have a great search engine.
My exchange frames are on their way as I type this comment. If I am not happy with them, I can’t exchange, only return for a refund.
The only complaints I have is that I was told when I called to order my exchange pair that it would take 2-3 wks to get my original shipping costs credited back to me. Also, the original pair of glasses that I ordered were BeBe (SO CUTE), now you cannot use this promo with ANY of the BeBe frames. =( Or any of the higher end frames.

I got the Bebe frames too and love them! My college age daughter also got a bebe pair and is thrilled with them! I’m so happy we got in on them before they were not included in the free frames deal!

Measuring your PD is harder than it looks! I tried it myself and had a few friends do it for me too, just to get a consensus. No luck! Everyone came up with a different number and it is not on your original script. I had it done at the eye doc and I was 2mm off! =)
I just ordered mine. 🙂 I’ve been debating every time the promo came up.
I added the anti-glare/scratch resistant package for 14.95. Shipping was 9.95 and there was a 7.95 handling/insurance cost. But all in all–a little over $30 for a pair of glasses! I used my old glassed to compare the measurements of the frames I ordered, and they were pretty much the same. So I am hoping they are a good fit. I consistantly came up with the same # for the pupillary distance, so hoping I’m right! If these work out good for me, I’ll be ordering my daughter a spare pair. It sure beats $200+ glasses!!

Woot Woot! Just ordered a fun new clear pair that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. Thank you s.o much for posting this. Just got mine for 14.95. last time i bought glasses i payed 190.00. So i feel like im on a little high lol. I have been calling all my friends to tell them the cost of my new glasses.
I had my RX but called to make sure I was reading it right and the woman read it to me verbatim from right eye to left. She didn’t give me the PD (because they want you to purchase from them) but I used the tool on the Coastal Contacts website to measure mine (hope it was right). My total was 32.00 (purch. the coatings bundle) for glasses that are sug. retail of over $200.00. I was skeptical about these deals the first 5 times I saw them but now can attest that it’s accurate and a great deal!

Got my son a free pair back in March and it took over a month to get them and contacting them several times (lab hold up). I got very discouraged that maybe it was a scam BUT they finally came and he loves them!!! Cost me under $13 for shipping. I am shocked what nice quality they are, better than his last two pairs I paid a $$$ elsewhere. It is an awesome real deal 🙂
I just bought similiar glasses to the ones your reader posted about. I lost a truly beloved pair of glasses YEARS ago, and found that no one made new cateye glasses that point up. I had an older pair that I’d tried to get filled with my prescription and could find anyone who’d do it. I am seriously thrilled right now. I could cry. For $16 bucks, unfrickinbelieveable.
