I posted about this deal earlier today in the Weekend Retail Round-Up but thought that it was worth highlighting it alone since it is such a sweet deal.

Tomorrow, May 21st, Old Navy is having yet another in-store One Day Wonder Sale and offering up a great deal on flip flops for the whole family! From 7AM-9PM on Saturday, you can snag flip flops for everyone for just $1! You may want to consider arriving early to snag a tasty treat from Post Foods (while supplies last). And if you’re an Old Navy, Gap or Banana Republic cardholder, you’ll receive 3x points! Check out the Old Navy Facebook page for more information.

*Limit 5 flip flops per customer, select styles only. While supplies last.

(Thanks, Linda!)

Old Navy has to have the best marketing tactic ever with this. One dollar flip flop day always finds the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen and what are you really saving? About $1.50! But everyone always buys more than just the shoes, LOL.

I went last year to this sale. You have to go super early to snag any of them women’s flipflops. Fortunately, i have huge feet, and even though the women’s were gone by the time i got there, i went over to the men’s section & got some in basic colors – black, brown, silver.

YES go early…my store opens at 7am.
I went the last couple years and its insane!
so this year, I went yesterday and the manager and i started chit chatting about the sale on Sat and she said buy them today…and get a price adjustment on SAT. I even used my 10% survery coupon!
Only solids (no metalics, no patterns) but she did tell me that the the patterned girls flip flops were included!

Why did you use your 10% off coupon if you are going to get a price adjustment down to $1 each tomorrow anyway?

        Am I missing something?

I agree get there early and check the fine print there was something like only 8 pairs per person per transaction last year and they had people buy 8 and then go to the end on the line (a VERY LONG line) for the others more than 8. Why more than 8 flip flops, gifts I hope. Anyway get there early and know the limits 🙂 Have fun!

I was wonder if you don’t come across your size or color you want could you return them later on for the size/color you do want …or are all sales items final?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      yep you can exchange them!

  6. Brianna

This was huge last year. They had boxes and boxes of shoes all over the store and the lines were soooo long, it was borderline ridiculous… but I still might go this year heehee

These are great additions to the graduation gift baskets, especially if the recipient is going to live in dorms. Flip flops are a must in dorm room showering!

  8. Nikki

I don’t know if all Old Navy’s will do this or not but… I was told that if you get there and they are out of the style/size you want you can buy any pair and bring them back when they restock and exchange them for the ones you want. I did it last time and had no problems.

  9. autum

I don’t get how some of you can wear flip flops without hurting or get blisters. I like sandals. Have fun shopping.

  10. Lauren

Hi everyone! I am an ON employee and yes, although we try to not tell everyone this, you can exchange them when more flip flops come in. Also, usually the samples we give out in the morning have really high value coupons with them, like with the Post cereal on polo day there was a $1.25/1 box of Honey Bunches of Oats! I haven’t seen them for flip flop day but definitely keep an eye out for them! And please don’t get upset with the cashiers for sending you back in line after you bought your first five, they will get in a lot of trouble if they ring more than 5 on one receipt or do 2 transactions. Oh, and I always see parents giving their children money and having them make a purchase and that is perfectly fine! 🙂 Happy Shopping!!

  11. Rachael

The limit is 5 this year

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can go tonight purchase flip flops, then go tomorrow night for the price adjustment. I did it last year.

    • Stacie

I was thinking about that too. I might do that. Way less headache I think.

      • Guest

i went yesterday and got mine… and plan on either being there when they open and get a price adjustment while everyone is elbowing each other for their flip flops, or maybe right before they close. I did this two years ago when they first did the $1 scarfs. I’m getting ready to have a baby and these will make perfect hospital flip flops!!!!

    • Melissa

I did this last year and they were mad about it but did adjust after giving me a very hard time!

  13. NIcole

If you go, don’t forget to bring in your old flip flops for recycling! Last time I was in the store they have a box to collect them, and they get recycled into playground sets. Awesome!

  14. lana2201

I can’t take the pushing and shoving! Not worth it to me. Went last year with my 4yr old daughter and a lady literally pushed my child down. I had to carry her around like a baby. Ridiculous. Same thing happened when they had $2 tank tops. Luckily, I had more adults with me.

  15. Melissa

Not to be negative but I think this sale is not worth it. Too many aggressive people who buy like 20 pairs each. Leaving nothing for the rest and then wait in line for like 2 hours to save just a couple bucks. Just sayin. Hope it works better for you all!

    • Marcie

well its only 5 pairs per person so it might be worth it if you are at the store. 😉

  16. christi

well i went to old navy a couple of weeks ago at around 1030am when they were a dollar and i was really surprised, cause they were still all available in all colors and the store was not busy. so u might not have to go at 7am.

  17. theresa

i take my kids and have them stand in line with me they each get five pair or we make sure they have 5 pair it works wonders better than standing in long lines

  18. Anonymous

Bought my $1 flip flops at Walmart.

  19. Kikay

They did $1 socks a couple o years ago. Do they still do this?

  20. deb

Just bought our flip flops. The store still had most sizes but not colors.noon @ escondid california old navy.

  21. gina ashley

Uggggghhhhh….EXCHANGING….I never thought of that. I just came back and got NOTHING for me because all they had was black and white (and I do NOT need any more black or white). I should have bought them to exchange for the color I wanted. They had HUGE boxes all filled with JUST white and JUST black. I KINDA felt like they were holding out on us and they really had more colors out back..but I wasn’t going to push my luck and ask. I really wanted purple…but I can wait.
