You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink. …AND if you are a newbie to Walgreens shopping, make sure to check out my Walgreens Store guide!

  1. coupon guy

Was the BOGO for suave coupon only found in some regions of the newspaper…because my newspapers didnt have it…Im in California btw

    • Jan

I am in CA and didnt get it either

      • France

        Hi Jan,
Where about are you in CA?

        • Jan

          Northern CA, hour from sacramento

          • Rebekah

we didn’t get it in Utah either

  2. Lauren

I live in Maryland and all of my papers stink! I finally found a paper that was supposed to have all of the good coupons (The Washington Post), but I was wrong. I was so disappointed when I opened my Washington Post this morning and the Suave Bodywash coupon that was supposed to be B1G1 was $1/3. Not a very good deal.
Is there anything I can do to get the good coupons when they aren’t in any of my local papers?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There are sellers on Ebay that sell them, usually for 1/10 of thier value, and other sites – google:).

  3. Krista

Can someone familiar with Wags coupon policy tell me if I can I use an $8 RR on two (or more) items worth $8 or more, or can I only use it on one item worth $8 or more? I’d like to use the RR for the contact lens cleaner to put towards 2 packs of Schick razors, priced at $5.99. Will that work?

    • Melinda

You CAN use the $8 RR to buy to other items totalling $8 or more. If you are using a coupon for both of these items, you will need to find a “filler” item to add to your transaction, like a Hunt’s sauce 3/$1. You cannot have more Manufacturer coupons than items purchased. Just watch out for that ratio and you’re fine.

    • Steph

Yes, you can do the scenario you described. Just remember RR count as a coupon, and you can only have one coupon per item purchased. If you have coupons for the razors, you will have to purchase an extra item.

  4. Anonymous

A bit off topic. I have been seriously couponing for almost a year and have done a great job and saved a ton of money! But, the time I spend on it is like having a part time job. I shop at CVS, RA & Wags every single wk., plus grocery shopping. At the moment I am completely burned out. I decided this week I’m not cutting one single coupon or going shopping anywhere (well, my hsb & I DID go to the greenhouse to buy flowers – lol). There is nothing I can’t live without. So…I’m on vacation from couponing this week! How many of you feel the same way sometimes?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

After you build up a stockpile, it is time to back off for a bit, especially if it is just you and your husband. One can only use so much body wash, lotion, razors, toothpaste, etc. AND, sometimes it does feel like having a part-time job. After your break, howeever, you may want to coupon some for your community. There are so many people in need right now.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I feel a little burnt out sometimes too, but I’ve only been doing it for 4 months. I just look at the deals and see if there is anything I need or need to grow a stockpile on. If the main deals are body washes and toothpaste, I know I have a few months’ worth so I take a break for a week or 2. Also, something that’s helped me a TON is to cut what stores you go to. I used to try to go to all the stores you do, but I finally decided to ONLY do Walgreens and grocery shopping. BIG time saver. I realized I won’t die if I don’t get everything and I’m still saving for my fam 🙂 Good luck!

      • lisa

I have been feeling the same way lately. I have a great stockpile for my family, and after watching Extreme couponing last nite, I said to my husband, Why does anyone need 60 mustards? I don’t know, perhaps they are really donating, but I need to focus on my home, children and business I own. This has helped me in so many ways, and will continue this couponing lifestyle, but I have been burnt out as well, For instance, when I go to Walgreens week after week and the shelves are cleared and then I find out that the same women go to the 24 hour Walgreens at 11:00 and fill their carts, and then wait in the store untill midnite and then do multiple transactions for rewards! I mean, I can’t do it anymore. Not worth it to me. They must be selling the stuff. I went to a fleamarket last weekend and saw a man and a women with a huge table full of splenda, body washes, airwicks, pediacare etc., you get my drift. This may open a can of worms, but If we all take just what we need, there would be plenty and Everyone would have enough. Oh well. Have a great day everyone.

    • Willa

I usually take the month of Feb off from couponing/shopping. It is the shortest month and should there be great coupons during the month, a friend usually has extra inserts from her paperroute. If during the year it begins to get overwhelming, take a week or two off. The world does not come to an end if you miss a deal.

      • Jill

I have been doing this for around two years now and last Jan I took the month off. I mean totally off. I did not shop for anything. My husband got milk and bread on the way home from work once a week and we just lived off my stockpile. It was very freeing knowing that I didn’t have to “follow the deals” and a challage to eat and use what we had. My freezer really got a good cleaning and I didn’t waste anything. Nothing is more a waste of money then throwing out things. Jan. was also a great month so our budget could recover from Chrismas.

    • myromanfamily

I can totally relate. I’m trying to build a stockpile up and then will take a break for awhile. I have 3 small children (all under the age of 5), so it is really hard for me to find time to coupon. But, I do it because we are on a budget and I feel like I’m contributing.

    • Emily

I just watched extreme couponing for the first time and that is what re-invigorated the whole couponing thing. I rested from it for about oh, two months for the simple reasons of 1) I was REALLY sick-got over it, I’m good now, and 2) Well, let’s just call a spade a spade-I got lazy. I’m slowly working myself out of this little laziness that’s lagging and really getting back to what I love to do, the rush that it gives me, oh, man- The rush-and how happy I feel seeing how much money I saved!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When I start to get burned out, I just do minimal research and go after free or nearly free items, or do “only food”. It gives you a break. Just keep telling yourself, there will be more deals later on!

  5. Liz

I went to Walgreen’s this morning and bought the Advil and Thermacare. I used the $5.00 off both coupon and it did not give me back the $5RR, they said that because I had a manufacturer coupon that it would not give me one back. I don’t really understand why as I have done this on other purchases. I also purchased the Scrunchi hair bands in the same transaction. Any clues why?

    • Michelle

In the past I have had that happen to me too. My understanding of the problem…The coupons are coded the same, I mean the 5 RR and the $5 off . So, the computer thinks that you paid with a $5 RR not a manufacturers coupon, therefore it didn’t print one. My Wags manager looks over the purchase then scans the items to generate my missing RR, w/o using a coupon and TA DA! I have my RR.

    • Candie

Did you buy the bonus pack Thermacare? They weren’t included in the RR.

  6. april

Ajax $0.99 BOGO, after in ad coupon
    Pay $0.49 each after coupons
use the $1 off 2 Ajax products not sure what paper they were in since i use a binder.

    = 2 for free per coupon 🙂

    i bought 20

    • Abby

20? Please tell me you have a really good use for hoarding that many. Or that you are donating. Becuase others in your area might have liked to take advantage of the deal as well.

      • april

actually rudeness, its not hoarding when you have a really messy family of 7 to clean up after and are just starting to coupon and build your stock pile. they were FREE which is when i would be smartest to buy them and this “hoard” will most likely last me 9 months if that. I do plan to donate eventually once my stockpile grows more, i also give alot of what i buy to my grandmother and cousins who are on fixed incomes. but just because someone is smart enough to grab a good deal doesn’t mean they HAVE to donate or they are a horrible person. How bout you worry about yourself and stop being rude and judgmental. and FYI my store had an entire shelve of these which I came no where near close to clearing. so stop being a troll.

        • Cori

Seems like calling someone a troll is far worse than what she said to you. Can’t expect people to be nice to you if you can’t be nice either.

        • Candice

If you don’t clean the shelves then buying 20 is fine as long as you leave plenty for the other shoppers. Not just 2 on the shelf and its Sunday morning and the sale lasts all week. Be courteous to other shoppers. I understand you have a family of 7 to clean up after but there are plenty of deals for cleaning products and I think you need more than just Ajax to get your house clean.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Wags wouldn’t take that Q, so I let it go. Turns out the UPC’s on Ajax and Q don’t match up.

    • Melanie

Hoarding is buying 60 containers or mustard or salad dressing. NOT something you are actually going to be able to use ALL of.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Collin,
My redplum only has a dollar off coupon on the suave no b1g1f. Is this happening to anyone else?

    • Taraneh

me too, I get the Chicago Tribune delivered and had the same problem.

    • K Crew

      No B1G1 in UT either

  8. Renee

    On the Bayer aspirin deal:
It was $3.19 at my Wags, but the sign said $2.19 after instant store coupon. They didn’t have any more May booklets, but he had one behind the counter, so I got 3 32 count @ $3.19 each – $6 from the in ad Q – $3 from the May booklet – 3 $1 Mfg Q for a MM of $2.43! I didn’t see the Q in the May booklet, but I’m assuming it’s a Wags Q, otherwise my Mfg Q would have beeped?

  9. Sofia

Yesterday at walgreens, I saw the small Bayer 81 things for 1.99 on sale until 5/28. If the in ad coupon does work on them, there will be many ways to get it free.

  10. Taraneh

I tried the thermacare deal today. You can only use one of the $3 coupons from thermacares website because the coupon is for $3/2 and the coupon wouldn’t scan so the guy had to punch in some code or something.
kinda bummed it wasn’t that great of a deal after all….

Brittney and Ruth – Thanks for your replies. I have a recently divorced sister with 4 children and going to nursing school full time! I had been saving supplies for her and a couple weeks ago took her 5 huge boxes (she lives out of town). She was so appreciative! I have another sister who recently lost her job after 10 yrs. I give her extra stuff every week. And, of course my grown daughter. I started seriously couponing when my hsb and myself lost our jobs on the same day (we worked for the same company). It was devestating and unemployment only goes so far. I remember the weeks we’d go to Walmart grocery shopping and would have to include essentials like deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, detergent, etc. It adds up so quickly when you’re paying full price! There is a old YMCA builing in our town and they rent rooms to very low income men. I have been saving supplies for each of them. I have all the body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes now…I just still need a few more shampoos and then I’ll deliver to them. I have a box of feminine hygiene products to take to our local shelter for battered women this week. Our post office just recently had a food drive for the area food bank (not sure if they do it everywhere or not)…we set out a huge back of non perishables for that. I bet our mailcarrier was thanking his lucky stars that he has a driving route and not a walking route! lol. Anyway, my point is…I try not to judge people, but I often wonder why some people choose to NOT give to others. I have a small stockpile, which is all WE need. You’re right, there are so many people in need, so many people who never thought they would have to rely on others to just get by. If EVERYONE did SOMETHING, no matter how large or small of an act or donation – can you imagine how wonderful this world would be? 🙂

Is it me or has Walgreens gone crazy? I feel like they make up their coupon policy as they go. The cashiers have no idea what is going on. Heaven forbid if a coupon beeps-they make up a reason why and that’s it. I carry my coupon policy with me but they have no interest in reading it. I always have a detailed list when I go there with all of my coupons down to a T, but I always end up spending way more there. I think I am done with Walgreens!! Anyone else starting to get fed up?

    • Shawna

I completely understand. Today was one of the rare days where I had very friendly and coupon-knowledgeable cashiers at 3 different locations. Most of the time, it is a hassle. The cashiers and managers don’t understand how their store coupons work, let alone newspapers/internet coupons. I try to stay away from Walgreens as much as possible unless there is an amazing sale going on!

    • Renee

One of the Wags by me remodeled and upgraded their registers. Every single coupon beeps!! (and they’re all legit) Needless to say, I go to the other one a mile down the road with the old registers.

  13. Heathergosnell

what does RP stand for im new at this and I really would like the coupon for the Listerine…thanks!!!!

    • Renee

It’s the Red Plum insert in your paper.

  14. Je

Hello fellow money saving mommys!! I was wondering if any of you know of any good enfimil deals or coupons out right now!! I just had triplets 3 1/2 weeks ago and finally got the last one home today!! let the feeding begin!! We are were going through a big tub of formula every 2 days with two so now that number three is home I can only imagine what we will blast through!! Any help would be so appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

if so please email me at jro_425@yahoo.com

    • Abby

Congratulations! Glad to hear you have all your babies home. I, unfortunately, can’t help right now, but I will keep your email address and let you know if I come across anything. Are you brand specific or can u use other brands of formula as well?

    • Shantell Andersen

My doctor said that all formulas are basically the same. They all have to pass the same FDA stuff so they are all healthy for your baby. Costco sells the Kirkland brand formula for $16 for a very large 36 oz tub. This is by far the best deal I have been able to find. The other thing I do is every time I go for Dr. check ups I ask for samples. The nurse always brings me about 6 tubs of Enfamil. Can’t beat free. The only thing is it is not good to switch up a baby’s formula every day so I wait until I have quite a few of one kind of formula and then switch to use it then. So I am not constatly changing up wait baby eats.

      • MommySpendsLess

I agree on the generics. I used Enfamil and Similac with my daughter for quite a while because, emotionally not logically, I thought it was “better” than store brands. When I finally switch to Target’s Up&Up brand it was such a relief. I could get a larger container for about the same price as the name brand AFTER sales/coupons and I didn’t have to worry about finding a deal. I switched formulas gradually and my daughter didn’t seem to notice a difference in taste/texture and I didn’t notice any changes to her digestion.

That being said if you or your little ones are set on Enfamil, make sure to sign up on their website so they’ll send you coupons and samples. I bet if you called and told them you have triplets they’d send you lots of freebies in hopes that they’d encourage you to be stay brand-loyal to them for the loads of formula you’ll end up buying this year.

Oh and congratulations and good luck to you and your babies! 🙂

  15. Kristina

Same here: I live in Oregon and got a $1 off suave coupon but not the b1g1 coupon or the $5 off advil and thermacare coupon 🙁

  16. kate684

The Complete Multi-purpose coupon was in RP for me.

    • Penny

Thank you Kate (writer above me). Thought I was loosing it. Multi-purpose solution coupon now found in Redplum. Also did not have B1G1 suave coupon either…oh well next time. Collin thanks for all you do. My husband and I check in on this site daily and think it is wonderful. Any chance your tour will include that town in Missouri the tornado hit yesterday (sorry name of town escapes except there were really devastating losses).

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you! I looked and looked and looked for the Complete coupon in the SS and thought it was regional. Now I found it! Bless you!

  17. kwiggins04

I wasn’t able to get the eyeshadow deal. They said that it was only on the colorstay cosmetics and that they weren’t included. oh well, guess I didn’t need them anyway…:(

  18. tanya

the spend $25 get $10 in RR never work for me.. i spent 25, hand over my coupons and did not recieve my 10 in RR??? I was told that my totle was under 25?????? Anyone else with this problem???

  19. Amy

I am so frustrated!! And this is why I stick with my cvs!! I made s special trip today with my 14 month old to grab the huggies swim diapers deal. The manager REFUSED to let me stack the qpons. He said ” you are already getting $4 off, you can’t get more than that. ” ( I was buying two packs) . He was such a jerk and acted like I was a criminal! Why did the machine beep? Did I need to do manufacturers before wags q? Help!

    • katrina80

yes..if you read the top, it says to hand them the wags coupons last to avoid beeps. better luck next time =[

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My store makes you do the store coupon first, even if you try to wait.

        • treynolds

I was frustrated too! I took my 26 month old 2 year old, to the store for the Huggies Swimmers deal. Got to the register and they would not allow the infant care booklet coupon, it beeped and we both reread the coupon it is for the “Big Packs” only whatever that is. So the Huggies Swimmers deal is not really anybetter than the previous, Toys R Us deal or the other drugstore deal last week. ; (

          • Courtnie

The Little Swimmers Walgreens Q is in the May coupon booklet, not the infant care book. 🙂

    • Mitchell Wischmann

Generally, if the coupons found in the monthly booklets are scanned before the manufacturer’s coupons, they will cause the manufacturer’s coupons to beep. This happened to me a few times, so I had the cashier void the Walgreens coupon, scan the manufacturer’s coupon and then scan the Walgreens coupon.

  20. Heidi

I went to my Walgreens tonight and bought the Thermacare heatwraps and Advil, used the $5 mq, but did not get the $5 RR. The Manager on Duty told me it was because I used an MQ, and I would not get the RR because it too was an mq. I left disappointed and confused. Later, I realized she has to be wrong. I also purchased Pantene with an mq (separate transaction) and DID get th RR for that transaction. I regularly use mqs’ and DO receive the RRs’ promised in the ads. Unfortunately, I kept the Advil and Thermacare and went home. Now I am left to wonder…

Can I take the items back tomorrow? How would they refund me my $5 coupon a day later? I did see in this thread that someone posted that the Thermacare bonus packs were not included in the sale, so I think this may be my problem because I got the back patches w/1bonus wrap. Will WAGS allow me to return and exchange for the other Thermacare w/o bonus to get the RR? Anyone know? Thanks for any ideas.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Walgreen’s would not let me use the BOGO Sauve coupons plus the .two of the 50cents off coupons. The manager said you can use either or. I used the BOGO of course, but it made me angry that he wouldn’t let me use 4 coupons when I purchased 4 lotions. I don’t know what the policy is about that, but I wasn’t going to argue. I still got 4 lotions for $2.00.

  22. katie

i don’t do wags very often, so every time i think of a deal scenario, i get nervous. could i do this?:
    trans 1:
    Complete Multi-Purpose solution 12 oz $7.99 = $7.99 RR
Use the $1/1 coupon found in the 5/22 SS
    Pay $6.99
    Get back a $7.99 RR

    trans 2:
2 packs of Huggies Little Swimmers 10-12 pk $6.99 each
Use 2$2/1 coupon found in the 5/15 SS
Plus, use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the May Coupon Booklet (takes off $4)
    Final cost $2.99 each!
Nestle candy 1.28-2.1 oz $0.49 with in ad coupon
Use the $0.50/2 Nestle Single Candy bars (1.5-2.1 oz) coupon found in the 5/1 SS
Final cost $0.24 per candy bar!
Ocean Spray juice or drink 64 oz 2/$5
Buy Ocean Spray diet cranberry juice 64 oz $2.50
Use the $1/1 Walgreens coupon found in the Walgreens May Coupon Booklet
    Final cost $1.50!
    total: $7.96
then will they let me use the $7.99 RR, or not because it’s still 3 cents short? I guess if not, I can get another couple of candy bars. Does that all make sense? Does it work?
