awesome! I needed a fathers day card, im not patient enough for the slow free deals lol so thanks 🙂

  2. Taylor

    I got mine, thankyou 🙂

  3. serena

It says it can’t be combined with any other offer. i’m assuming any other manuf. offer, right? Also says consumer is to pay any remaining balance after discount along with sales tax.

  4. Mary Ann

Thanks! I’m going out shopping today! Fun times for me!!!!

  5. jill

good luck finding cards for 1.29. most of the fathers days ones are 2.99-3.99. still worth it though for sure!

  6. Cathy

I went to Rite Aid yesterday and did not find a card priced at $1.29. The cheapest I found was $2.99.

    • Erin

Yup. I’ve never found these mysterious $1.29 American Greetings card at Target nor at Rite Aid. And the American Greetings cards that my stores do carry are so lame I wouldn’t buy them, so I can’t imagine how bad the $1.29 ones are.

  7. angela

i can only find a coupon that says $1/3….Did the other one go away?

  8. Heather

Reading the fine print on the coupon it says, “Cashier: Scan greeting cards through the register and then scan coupon which will automatically deduct $1 off the purchase price” Just wondering if anyone has tried using this coupon yet, and if so, were there any issues with it scanning and deducting $2?

    • Colleen

I was wondering about the $2 coupon also. It says it will automatically deduct $1 not $2. Is this a legit coupon? Last time I had an American Greeting card coupon it wouldnt scan at Rite Aid and they wouldnt take it.

      • jill

mine also didnt scan. i showed him my cards and he took the coupon though. it looked like he didnt really want to though, so maybe they are getting more strict with coupons that dont actually scan.

        • PG

Their official policy is not to accept IP coupons that won’t scan.

      • PG

It is a legit coupon, as it’s hosted on the American Greetings website. The previous coupon was $1/3 so it looks like they just forgot to change the fine print when they changed the value.

    • SenoraE

$1 is deducted off each card. HTH!

  9. Betsy

Isn’t it a better deal if you buy four cards and use two $2/2 coupons?

    • Yes!

Yes, but mainly if you get TWO $3 rewards. Or don’t you?

      • WouldRequire6

Would require you to buy 6, not 4, to get two rewards (IF Permitted by RiteAid).

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, You are right, buy 4 and use 2 coupons for less out of pocket cost. Now the question is, if the coupon scans at all??

    • PG

I’ve used several of these coupons and mine have always scanned. I did not resize mine at all and I did not use the fast draft setting on my printer. My stores do have the $1.29 cards and there are actually some nice ones. The limit on the +UP is 2 so a better way to do the deal is like this:

      Buy 6 @ $1.29 = $7.74
      Use: (3) $2/2 coupons
      Final: $1.74 and get $6 +UP

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do you have silver or gold Wellness discount?

I’m curious if the discount would mean I need to buy a higher priced card to qualify for the +UP? Or just cards priced @ $1.29 would still work?

        • PG

I have gold but the deal worked fine with the discount. The cards ring up as $1.03 with 20% off and you’ll still get the +UP. 🙂

  11. Samantha

Had a great Rite Aid trip today. Was disappointed that there were no Veet wax strips, but got some of the more expensive cream with my 10% discount and clearanced grocery items ( applesauce, 2 bottles of soy sauce, a bag of brown rice and a box of pasta), used a $3/$15 survery coupon, all of the scenario coupons for Veet and paid .64 OOP then received my $5 +Up. Whoo-hoo! 😀

  12. Melissa

I tried to use this coupon today and it would not scan. The cashier said they are no longer able to apply the coupon unless it scans. Hope you guys have more luck.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      same here!

  13. Ro

I went to get this deal on yesterday and I didn’t find not one card price at $1.29!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

And even better deal: buy 2 cards for $1.29 and one for $.99. Worked at my Rite Aid just now.

    • PG

Yes, but the coupon isn’t for cards that are $.99. It excludes those.

      • PG

I see what you’re saying. You bought 3 cards and used the $2/2 coupon. It’s still a better deal to buy 6 and use 3 coupons. 🙂

  15. Lorraine

I can only find a coupon that says $1/3. Can you tell me where in the American Greetings site you fine the $2/2? Thank you!!

  16. socialworker13

Did anyone read this coupon to say that you could only buy Father’s day cards? I did not interpret it that way and tried to buy various American Greeting cards. However, my store would not honor them- said the coupon only applied to father’s Day cards. Anyone?????

    • PG

I don’t think your store knows what they’re talking about. AG puts these cards out frequently with seasonal cards pictured. 🙂

  17. kristie

Is the $2/2 a legit coupon? In the cashier section it says scanning will automatically deduct $1. I also saw on fb where some asked the same question and American Greetings gave them the link to the $1/3 coupon.

    • Rebecca

Yeah, Kristie – that was me on FB. The $2/2 is not hosted on the AG site (anyone can create a pdf w/AG info. in the title) so that got me wondering…. Anyway, I find it odd that AG would ask me to use the $1/3 if the $2/2 is something they are promoting… YMMV.

  18. Joanie

Can’t find the $2 coupon to print.

  19. socialworker13

i returned to the store and pointed out to the manager that the coupon was NOT specifically for Father”s Day cards (thanks PG) and insisted they honor my 6 coupons. They refused. I have now written the store’s corporate headquaters. I know it is only $12.00 but it is the point!
