Has anyone seen, heard the reviews for this product? It has stained teeth brown, caused numbness of the tongue, and resulted in loss of taste. When I found out, I took my 3 bottles back to CVS for a refund. Has anyone experienced any of these type effects? It scared me to death…

I’ve used the Crest Pro Health toothpaste a few weeks ago, for the first time, and it complete tore up the inside of my mouth. After only 2 days of usage, my gums began bleeding and the entire inside of my mouth was very raw and tender. I stopped using it immediately, obviously, but my mouth was tender and raw for the next week.

i ordered my sample and just now read these comments. I googled some reviews….and they were horrible. this stuff is “oral suicide”. i’m scared to even try the stuff.

        I’ve just started using the Pro-Health whitening(been using it for about a week/week & 1/2).
I’m not having any adverse effects from it. Just like regular toothpaste for me. Maybe it’s YMMV (Your Mouth May Vary).

it made me think i had gingavitus. It made my gums bleed and bleed day afterday, i was thinking geez this must be bad and i tried a sample of arm and hammer and my gums didn’t bleed AT ALL. Now my teeth shine and no more bleeding gums and now i use arm and hammer. But good luck, it’s prob a hit or miss 🙂

You guys should contact Crest and let them know about what you experienced with their product. They should know! Sorry that happened to you guys 🙁

I did what it said and it doesn’t have a form to fill out for the free sample. Can you please help. Thanks.

    • Annette

Go over to the product that you want the sample (the floss/paste or rinse)…

I just clicked on the green box/area that said “Get free samples and a valuable coupon”.
This took me right to the form to fill out.

Love the Walmart free samples! Just fyi for anyone that doesn’t know this for the Walmart samples you don’t have to fill everything out. All that is required is your mailing address and birth year. It’s a lot faster to sign up when you just have to put in that info instead of having to enter your email address and fill out those surveys too.

This may sound dumb to some, but you should always check the warning/side effect labels before trying a new product. Also, it is a good idea to consult with your dentist/doctor/physician before trying any new product. I know, it’s just your basic oral care product right? Well, when new products come out, that doesn’t mean they are perfect for everyone. Some may have side effects, others may not. Just like when you see a commercial on TV for a new medicine, that doesn’t mean you should try it without consulting your doctor. Just because things are “over the counter” doesn’t make them safe for everyone. If you ever have negative side effects, stop using the product, consult with your physician and possibly contact the manufacturer if need be. This is where recalls happen, or products are altered, etc. Sometimes, an oral product may seem to harsh on someone’s mouth because there is an underlying problem that needs to be seen about. All of our mouths and bodies are different so we need to be cautious and check with a professional first!

I use the Pro-Health Sensitive and it is great. The regular Pro-Health though did a number on my teeth.

  17. Candice

I use it all the time, and I love it!!!!

  18. Brandy

I wonder if these are going to be the same samples that are going to be in the Oprah/Crest promotion from a few days ago? I am not saying the ARE…just wondering since they were offered so close together!
