Where do I get the $10 Living Social voucher from?? Is that a sign up credit? Thanks

    • Angel

She’s listing it as the cost, not that you are getting one. Because you paid $10 for the voucher your final cost for everything is the price of the $20 voucher ($10) plus what ever your balance is after applying it. I had to re-read that too. 🙂

    • Catherine

Click on her link to the deal. Living Social is a daily deal site. You will need to pay $10 for a $20 voucher.

  2. Anne

So the voucher can only be used on P&G products?

    • Collin

As I mentioned in the post, the voucher can only be used on the following brands: Accu-Clear, Align, Always, Ariel, Aussie, Bold, Bounce, Bounty, Braun, Camay, Cascade, Charmin, Cheer, Clairol, Clearblue Easy, CoverGirl, CoverGirl & Olay, Crest, Dawn, Downy, Duracell, Era, Fact Plus, Febreze, Fixodent, Gain, Gillette, Gleem, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Ivory, Ivory Snow, Joy, Metamucil, Mr. Clean, Olay, Old Spice, Oral B, Pantene, Pepto-Bismol, Prilosec, Puffs, Pur, SafeGuard, Scope, Secret, Swash, Swiffer, Tampax, Tide, Tide To Go, Vicks. 😀

Is swagbucks not doing daily deals with living social anymore? I cant find this or any living social deals on swagbucks.

    • Cally

No they are not, I was searching for the same thing when Living Social was doing a movie deal. I asked on the swagbucks blog and they said they were not. 🙁

you should never buy throw away toiletries without know your price per sq. ft. cost. meaning napkins, papertowel, toilet paper, etc….. there’s so many sizes and packaging… all ways to fool if you’re getting a good deal or not. for example at our target they have charmin packed 3 different ways but all are the same sq. ft…. always calculate the sq. ft… which is on every package to see if you’re actually getting a good deal. obviously if you’re getting a freebie or close to free it doesn’t matter, but if you’ve got a $1.00 coupon matched with a sale, you’ll be able to tell if you’re really getting that good of a deal. Costco Kirkland brand toilet paper, everyday price is around $0.011 per sq. ft. so we always base our coupon matches on getting better than that ….. looking at this deal and guessing on sq. ft.. it’s not that great of a deal. if you’ve got P&G coupons, walgreens 6 pack bounty and 12 pack of basic charmin are on sale this week.. matched with coupons, you’ll likely come away with a better price and stock up on what you need, vs. trying to get to $25 for free shipping…

    • Ann Dee

Thanks. It is always tricky to figure out TP.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is a good deal for me but maybe not to others. I look at other factors as well when buying items. One, I don’t live near a WG so can’t get the paper products deal; two, I don’t want to drive to town in the heat with 4 young kids in tow; and three, I love things delivered to my door–more time with the kids and family vs. shopping :)!

      • Cally

I agree Anna, and I will add one to your list…people need to factor in how much they spend in gas driving across town to get these items. You may have saved X amount in coupons, but how much did you spend in gas driving to the store? If you live really close to those stores, that’s great! I’m with Anna and would rather avoid taking my 3 children to the store, fighting traffic and stress. I’m not sure if I will get this deal, but I don’t think it’s a terrible deal either.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree about the gas etc. I guess that is what I was trying to imply because it is a 1 hour drive into town (= $10 or more in gas). I am very cost minded because I have 4 kids to raise by myself BUT my time and personal resources are worth money as well and are also a factor into how I purchases things. Time with my kids is the thing I value most and seems like I have the least of and if I spend less time at the store and can shop a little less and still get a good deal then worth my money. Again this deal might not be best for everyone so each person has to judge for themselves. I may or may not get the deal either.

  5. Courtney

I added $21.10 worth of stuff to my cart (after online coupons) and it says I qualify for free shipping. If I buy the voucher and use it will I still qualify for the free shipping? If so that would mean I would get a 4pack Venus refil razors, 1 Olay Body lotion, 2 20count Tampax Pearls, and a mens Gillette deoderant for about $11.10. Not bad.

  6. AndreaGonzalez

I just bought this deal and I had a credit for $5 (maybe a sign up bonus) so my total was only $5!

    • Vic

I did that too!! Such a fantastic deal!

  7. Jessica

Same here! I only had to pay $5 for the deal because of the sign up credit!!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just bought one and have my cart ready to go – does anyone have experiece on when I will receive confirmation that the voucher is ready to use? Thanks.

  9. kwiggins04

I was a new customer and it didn’t get me a credit 🙁 Where did you see your credit post? before you bought it or after?

    • AndreaGonzalez

It was there before I bought it…I didn’t know I had it. On the offer page it said the price was only $5 because I had a credit.

Soap.com is generally not the least expensive way to go. However, the convenience is what some consumers are more focused on. This is an excellent deal for those who need to NOT worry about cost per square inch/foot, etc. I am one who is very cost-conscious, but we also need to help those who aren’t to see that they can also save a penny…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Each person has to decide for themselves how to spend their own money to provide for the needs of their family. Based on postings on a blog most of us cannot determine what may be a good deal for one person vs. another person. Nor can one assume that another reader is not able to see what constitutes a good deal or not–that is up to the person purchasing the deal. It is my own opinion that most of the readers of this blog are VERY cost conscious but always appreciative of another reader’s opinion on how to save even further. Furthermore, what one person defines as convenience may actually be a necessity for another person at times. Different individuals may see savings differently from another.

      • cynthsherm

Absolutely agree, Anna. I meant nothing derogatory in my comment. I am sorry if it seemed that way. I am extremely frugal! When my children were younger, they learned how to calculate cost per for bath tissue, paper towels etc. To this day, I comparison shop. This particular Soap.com deal is good since $10 is spent towards $20 of merchandise. There are some consumers who are more convenience minded than cost-minded. I am certainly not one of them. I am sorry if I offended anyone.

  11. Erin

So glad I checked your site today – I got this deal for $5 b/c I had a $5 bonus left over from a while ago that I had forgotten about! Awesome deal for $5 (plus another $5 so I can get the free shipping)!!!! I can’t wait to use it. Thank you!!!!

  12. Melissa

On the soap.com site, it says that with a promotional referral code you get 20% off your first order… does anyone have a code? I have mine but I need someone else’s for the 20%.

    • alissa

you can use mine : ATEM3299

    • Jessica

that’s first order on any of their sites, so I doubt you’d get the 20% discount if you already have purchased from diapers.com ” When someone enters your unique Share the Savings Code or email address at checkout, they’ll get 20% off their first order (some restrictions may apply). Just remember, only people who are new customers to our family of sites are eligible.”

      • Melissa

I’ve never ordered from any of these places before… just started using coupons 2 weeks ago so it should be fine for me. Ty for the code.

        • alissa

you’re very welcome. According to the soap.com site, $10 will be donated to american red cross each time the code is used. 🙂

  13. sally

I got it for free, $5 credit for first deal from 01/19/2011 (sign up during the Amazon gift card promotion but did not make a purchase) and $5 credit for referring a friend from 01/20/2011 (my friend bought the Amazon gift card). I will use the voucher for FREE Charmin.

  14. Yvonne Bush

I bought products from them once before and it was very effecient. Might as well spend $5 more on something then pay that much for shipping. You can also send in coupons that you have for a product you buy and they will apply it to your acct for future order. They sent me a postage paid envelope to send the mfg coupon in.

    • chrissygwhite

Wow. That is an excellent tip! I did not know they let you mail in coupons to them. I’ll have to try it. Thanks!

      • cynthsherm

Be careful with the coupons. With expiration dates being so short, the coupons may expire before you can use them. Soap.com takes a while to register them into your account, which may leave a brief window available to use them.

  15. avmks481

How do I get the e-coupons once I get my code to purchase at Soap.com?

  16. erin

    it’s sold out now 🙁

  17. Amber

How do I get my code to purchase my items? I have already bought the voucher itself.

  18. Catherine

What’s the best way to only buy the products that are included? Whatcha think?

    • Marie

I purchased the Cover Girl & Olay foundation (love this stuff!) and the ginormous bottle of Cacade Rinse Aid. Those are items that I know I can’t get any cheaper than I will through this deal, and both had $1 off ecoupons. My total came to $23.94 after the ecoupons. Once I applied the $20 promotion code my total was only $3.94 shipped.

      Not bad for $8.94 OOP!

  19. nicole

Bummer.. sold out by the time I got around to doing it!

  20. Christie

The deal is over! Just went to site and said I missed it!

  21. melissa

I tried to check out this morning, I did an 8pack of Bounty Paper Towels, 2 napkins & a 24 pack of Charmin and my total was $25.95.

When I was entereing my voucher it was only taking off $10.30 so I called the 1800# at the top and someone answered right away (happy!) and he was very nice and helpful. I looked at my account and saw that I bought all the correct items and then credited the difference that the voucher was not taking off so I still got my full $20 off the grand total. Nothing better than good ol customer service first thing in the morning. (as opposed to the pissed off “i hate my job people” lol).

The deal itself wasnt that great, but still cheaper than retail and I bought it for a friend who lost her job so anything that saves money helps!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Same for me – was only taking it off 1 item as opposed to all. Figured I’d wait to see if it was resolved later and try again.

  22. Nicole

I can’t get it to work right. IDK if it is just me. Everytime I do the same order as the blog posted, to see if it will come out right it tells me I owe $15.84 and it only applied $10.30 voucher.

  23. Sarah

    It just worked for me!!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Can anyone tell me how to get the e-coupons?

    • Marie

Look on the bottom left. There is a box you need to check for ecoupons. Once you check the box, the amount will be taken off in your cart. HTH!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you so much Marie!!!! I really appreciate it!!!

  28. Barbara

I just placed my order with soap.com and at first was frustrated. I got on the phone with them and what a positive experience it ended up to be! I am very pleased. Although the living social code did not work properly, he issued a credit for me and was also able to enter a discount code since I am a first time customer. He told me that they are having trouble with the living social codes. I often hesitate to take advantage of these deals because they end up being more trouble than they are worth. Glad that this one worked out for me.
