Am I correct? Are these disposable bowls? They look too pretty and elegant to be disposables! I guess I could do like my mother….she saves the plastic cutlery to be reused. 🙂

That’s sort of shady to me. So they’re collecting people’s emails & getting them to like them & getting free advertising from I expect tons of people who will not receive anything. If it was a sweepstakes and only 250 people “won” the free thing I wouldn’t have the same issue. I also wouldn’t have an issue if you had to like them on Facebook and then wait between a set time for them to post something on their wall about when they’re giving out freebies or coupons. Maybe I’m a cynic these days but I see a lot of potential for fraud in these types of deals with some companies not giving anything out. If you don’t get it I expect you’ll just assume that you weren’t one of the 1st 250 people. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone gets it.
More and more companies it seems are advertising free things or in particular coupons on their own website if you’ll register or “like” them etc. only for you to find out when you comply that they’ve totally out and likely have been for ages and that the campaign has ended.
I received plates that I won from their giveaway a couple weeks ago. They are a great company, but I do think they should not leave the form up so long after the first 250.
Carol….just wanted to respond that often times we provide our email addresses and don’t win. 3 of us in our family were fortunate to get the TOM’S toothpaste samples when they had that stint with Cheryl Crowe. I do believe that was restricted to the first 300 or so. So YES…it IS possible to win if you’re fast enough!

I won them today also!! Just have to be fast.. 🙂 Try not to be so pessimistic (sp) and take a chance. If you don’t want a bunch of “junk” email, then sign up for this stuff with a special “junk only” email acct.
also, it just takes a click to “unike” a company and to “unsubscribe” from their emails. no big deal.

Adding all these random pages to win free stuff IS a bad idea…I have gotten tons and tons of calls from marketing places and tons of junk mail…Be advised also that I saw on the news that lots of facebook pages are also debt collection companies that are trying to find people. Which if you have no debt that’s not a big deal. Just be careful.
Thats exactly why I have a fake facebook, email, and phone number that I use for these freebies 🙂

I give my number that is for my DSL line. No phone:-) I also give a spam email. You can also delete any groups and apps once the giveaway is over.
I give my cell # because I am not a cell phone person at all. It often stays dead for a week and I don’t check my voicemail.
Really? I haven’t had any problems with any of that. The only call I’ve gotten is from a cruise line that I entered a sweepstakes for.
Me too, Amber R!!! I specifically created an email account for promotions, etc. And, once I “like” them on FB, if they post too much garbage .. I just “unlike” their page. Solves the problem. I’ve had my fair share of junk mail, sure .. but I had it before things like this, too. I’ve NEVER received any solicitation calls on my cell or home phone. I get on the “Do Not Call” Registry, too. ; )

The funny thing is they still have the promotion up. You can still send them your info for the bowls. So, it looks like they are still giving them away. If the thing is over then they should take it down.
