does anyone know if they will mark the clearance even lower than this? And whats the biggest size they carry?

    • Rachel

They carry up to size 4T.

  2. Maria

I was there yesterday… They had lots to choose from but prices were not that cheap. $15.00 for Carters 2 piece pajamas…$9.99 for some shirts… Some stuff was marked a little less but not that great.

My husband’s grandma let me pick out the high chair that I wanted for our baby boy who is due in September! I was very excited because I was able to get the Chico brand chair and it was on sale for $99! I think it was regularly $149, so a pretty good savings for grandma! haha! I also want to mention that if you sign up for a credit card you can get an additional 10% discount on your whole purchase and I asked the lady if that could me used with other coupons and clearance items and she said you could! I am thinking about using the 20% off breast pump Q and signing up for the credit card to get the additional saving and getting a Medala breast pump! If anyone has any suggestions on breast pumps I would appreciate it! I have heard alot of great reviews on the Medala pump, but wondering if there is something else that is cheaper and would work just as good!

    • Dorie

I have the Playtex Embrace and I really liked it and it was cheaper than than the Medala

    • Erin

The Pump In Style is excellent–but check with your hospital before paying retail. My hospital had a breastfeeding initiative and you could buy breast pumps from the hospital and pay much less than retail. I knew nothing about this until after my son was born.

I got the chicco high chair too at that price. With my first son I bought a Graco chair and his grandma splurged for the chicco. Well, for my baby due in October she will sitll be using her high chair, while mine has a broken tray and a moldy seat pad that never came clean!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

As to a breast pump check with your insurance to see if they will cover any of the cost. Mine covered 80% as long as I bought it from a medical supply store. Even without insurance the medela pump I got was cheaper through the medical supply store than BRU even with 20% off.

      • Sue

I was thinking the same thing. My daughter is due with her third son in September and they found out that their insurance would cover a breast pump. She was so happy, one less thing that they have to buy.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My insurance would only cover the manual one and only a certian brand that I couldn’t even find…LOL. And the kicker was I had to get a script from the doctor saying it was needed…BIG LOL!!!!!

I love love loved my medela pump in style…. used for TWO children for ONE YEAR EACH! I mean, think price per usage on that! When I bought mine at babiesrus they had a sale on it, then i used a cpl more cpns on top of the sale and paid like $250; it was well worth it! (Of course it all comes down to how much you can put out up front.)

I used the Playtex Embrace with my daughter, too. I purchased it from Walmart. There was a problem with the motor a few months into using it, but the company sent me a prepaid box to ship it back and sent me a whole new unit. Great customer service. Also check out http://www.llli.org for lots of info on breastfeeding. I used their hands free breast pump bra and it was invaluable. I could pump while reading, working on the computer or holding my baby!

    • jamie

Thank you ladies for all your advice! I didn’t think about seeing if the insurance would cover a breast pump and will defiantly have to check into that now!

    • Porsche.Kumming

I have the Medela Pump in Style and I love it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have the Ameda Purely Yours. I bought off of diapers.com. I had a coupon code for 20% off and the shipping was free. Its a great pump and was a great value. I had to work full time and pumped several times a day for a year.

  4. Misty

Got my Medela at Burligton coat factory- was way cheaper than baby’s r us!

  5. Brook

I loved my medela swing for occasional use, and i bought it at burlington baby depot.

My husband and I went to BRU yesterday to get a car seat so he could have one in his car. We used the 15% off Graco coupon and a bunch of the $10 rewards coupons that we have accumulated. I looked at some of the clearance clothes while we were there but the prices, even on clearance, seemed really high. Got the $160 car seat for $61 after savings! woo hoo! Now, if only it was as easy to put the car seat in the car as it was to save that much! haha

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Can you use an MQ and a store coupon at Toys R Us? Because I would like to get the Enfagrow with the coupons and a rebate check that I have.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You should call and ask the store you are going to

  8. Heidi

I did this deal a few months ago and I love the reusable bag. It’s not one of those papery ones, but durable flexible thick plastic. It’s been a perfect beach bag! The discount is good too, of course!

  9. Julie

I went to BRU on Fri. And they were also having 25% off their clearance prices. Found a 3 piece gift set that had a swaddler blanket, sleep sack and security blanket for $11.23 after the discount! The swaddler blankets alone sells for $13.00ish. Plus, you can stack it with another sale BOGO 1/2 off when you buy swaddler blankets (or sleep sacks). I got a sleep sack for $2.25. So, for less than $14.00 dollars I got the gift set and a sleep sack. A huge score!

I’ve been watching the Britax Frontier Booster seats for quite awhile. They’re very expensive at $299 each ($500 with twins…ouch!). This weekend, they have the Onyx ones marked down to $249….and there’s a coupon, thanks to Collin’s post, for additional 25% off. What I found, though, is that the store would not honor the coupon since the Onyx seats were already on sale, but their internet site would. PLUS, they have free site to store shipping, and in addition, I got a “multiples” 10% discount. So I was able to purchase these $299 seats for $168 each, plus tax. What would have cost me close to $600 before (seats+tax+S&H), I got for $360….SCORE!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      ok…so I’m bad at math.

If you’re looking to an alternative to Medela (double electric pumps) they’re main competition is Ameda Purely Yours which is almost the same price. The amazing thing is that lansinoh’s double electric pump is the exact same pump- EXACTLY the same except it is purple and says lansinoh but it’s way cheaper. Baby Bargains was an awesome book helping to choose wisely and says that. I called lansinoh to confirm and it’s true that it’s the same Ameda pump. I ordered it from diapers.com for $102 total at the end of 2010. Happy I went with it.

TRU also had an extra 25 percent off their summer swim stuff. I got a rash guard for my youngest for next year for $1.12. The whole rack of boys & girls rash guards were marked down to $1.50 & you got an additional 25 off that!

  13. melissa

Does anyone know if priority health covers breast pumps??

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You just have to call and ask them

  14. moosefuzz

the tote bags are Not available at TRU They told me only Bru has that offer!

    • Rachel

I got mine at TRU today. They were on a rack within the clearance clothes!

  15. Tracy

They also have toys 25% off clearance price. I scored some wooden FAO for about $5.
