I had given up on Restaurants.com because every time I checked there were no places in my city participating. I found out last week that my family’s favorite restaurant had started offering certificates on the website and got super excited and have just been waiting for a coupon code. So this is perfect timing for me. I Just bought 4 $25.00 gift certificates to our favorite restaurant for only $8.00. YAY!!!

15% cash back at Ebates if you dont’ do shop@home!

I got one of these a while back. I didn’t know until I chose a restaurant, that they require you spend at least $60, to use the coupon. There are just 2 of us. Don’t know when I’ll be using it.

    • Erin O

Different restaurants have different restrictions. The one I bought requires you to spend at least $35.00. Which for my family of 4 isn’t to hard to do. Maybe make a deal with some friends where they pay for the difference over you gift certificate value.

      • melissa

yeah, each restaurant has a different spending requirement. I found one with a $35 purchase requirement. Hubby’s on vacation in a few weeks, so this will be a nice treat for us and the kids, we rarely get a chance to go out to eat.

24% cash back at FAT WALLET (much higher than ebates)

I am attempting to buy one coupon but it says the DEAL is not a valid Promo? I have registered for Restaurants.com and am going through ShopatHome.com! Does anyone know! I a newbie to this!

    • serena

Look at the restaurant. It probably says in restaurant.com that it’s not good with any other offers/promos. A few say that and you can’t use codes on them.

      • mistercheap

        CODE IS SUN, not deal.

        deal is the old code.

        • melissa

yeah, looks like Collin copied from an older post and forgot to change “deal” to SUN. SUN is the code you want to use.

    • Collin

Woops! Sorry…I had an old code in one part of the post. I just changed it to SUN…thanks!

Thanks so much, I have been looking for a coupon code. My family is going on vacation next week, and this will really hellp with our dining cost. I bought two $50 and 1 $10 dollar gift certificate, and qualified for a $50 dollar restuarant.com gift cert for only $5. so for $15 dollars I was able to get $110 towards my food budget. I did $ 50 dollars to the places we would have dinner because dinning in a resort area is expensive, and the $10 will be for a quick lunch. Even better two of the three places are walking distance from our Resort. I am excited over this great find.

  8. Brianna

Thanks! Perfect timing, my husband and I were looking up Indian restaurants just the other night! 🙂

  9. hilarycol

I got $195 in certs for $23! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  10. Jen

I know its hard to believe its legit but I guess it is

Is the minimum purchase, say $35, before or after gift card is applied? If I had a $50 gift card and our bill was $53 would we just have to pay $3 or would we not be able to use it?

    • melissa

you need to look at each restaurant’s requirement. Most of the ones that are $50 vouchers in my area, need a $60 – $75 min purchase. So we would order $75 worth of food, apply $50 with the certificate and pay $25 + tax/gratuity.
      I bought a $25 certificate, with a min purchase of $35. So I’ll pay $10 + tax & 18% gratuity.

      • toni62864

        Thank you.

  12. Lynette

Thanks soooooo much for your help with the code, I have picked out three DATE nights and now I cannot get to the check out to pay my 8.00 what a deal but can’t get er dun? Any ideas!

    • toni62864

Did you try clicking on my cart? I went through Ebates and had no problem, didn’t even have to enter code. If that doesn’t help, I would just start over.

I have a question on this for those who’ve actually purchased and redeemed certificates through Restaurant.com… in the terms and conditions, it says “The redemption of a Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificate requires additional consideration paid to the restaurant. Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificates have no value without additional consideration.” – Can someone tell me what “additional consideration” is required to be paid? Is it tax or what? I mean, I know obviously gratuity & tax…is that what it means? Sorry if this is a stupid question…I hate legal wording! LOL!
