(Thanks, One Frugal Chick!)
I’ve never heard of them either but there was a coupon for them in the Washington Post’s Sunday inserts for 7/10.
I saw a commerical for them here in Texas this past week. They are apparently healthy yet still taste like chocolate? Doubtful 🙂
We bought them and ate the whole pkg in a day. They taste just like chips ahoy. I am having everyone I know print for me because these cookies are my kids new favorite and I feel okay about giving it to them.
these cookies are great! i get them for my son who i don/t let eat too much junk food. It makes me feel a little better when he gets a treat. they are full of vitamins and taste good too!
These cookies have trans fat and HFCS fyi. I would rather have a home made cookie with legit ingredients than these cookies being passed as health food.
Look’s like the Lowe’s Grocery stores in NC carry these i did a city/state search 🙂
I saw that too Delene. Does Lowes Foods take printable buy one get one free coupons? I know my local Harris Teeter doesn’t.
YEAH! -1 Q’s in Smart Source! Heading to Target soon anyway, maybe this will make for some inexpensive cookies I won’t feel TOO guilty giving the kiddos 😉
anyone have an idea on how much they cost
I just got back from Walmart. I didn’t buy them yet, but the sign said $2.78. Good deal with me! 🙂
My daughter just tried them yesterday for the first time and loved them!! My mom found them at Fred Meyer for 2/$5
Just checked to see if there were in our area (San Jose, CA) Not here yet 🙁
I checked my zip and it said not available but I bought 2 pkgs yesterday at Kroger. They must be behind in updating their system Greta cookies! .
They are at some but not all of our Kroger’s. Look like something worth trying to me!
Ahh! These are sooo good!! I want the coupon but my power is out from the storm in the Round lake area on monday! Hopefully it comes back on before the coupon is gone!!
Found at piggly wiggly
Found them in Wal-Mart in N. CA. They are pretty good. A treat without feeling guilty.
It is a new product, and my kids like them! It beats feeding them real oreos! I bought a pack at one of the super walmarts where I live.
Off topic: I just got the Crest Complete sample pack from Oprah (5.8 oz. toothpaste and Oral-B toothbrush). And it only took a month to get her…not bad at all 🙂
to get *here* 😀
These are at Walmart. Saw them today for $2.78.
If you have a Jewel near you, use the BOGO coupon and the $1/1 coupon from the Smart Source insert this past weekend and pay just $0.75 per pack! Woohoo! Looking forward to getting 4 packages for $3 🙂
I got these yesterday for .50 after a coupon that doubled. I got the oreo-type ones. I can sorta taste some vitamins in there (a slight metallic taste) but overall they are pretty good. 3 of them equal a serving, which still contains 7 g of fat . . . but there are more nutritional perks than a regular cookie, I guess.
Just got home from the grocery store. Bought two packs with two $1/1 coupons. There were only two boxes left on the shelf– both Crispy Chocolate Chip. Came home, opened them. YUM!!! Definitely will buy these again and use the BOGO q’s!
As I was putting them away, I was thinking, “They’ve been fortifying cereal for years. Why didn’t anyone think to fortify cookies?”
I’m guessing because cookies are supposed to be a rare treat and cereal/grain is a major component of peoples’ diets the World over.
I’m sure these cookies stack up to be a better choice when compared to regular cookies, such as Oreos, etc., but I notice the comparison on their website to “normal” cookies only compares the vitamin content. It doesn’t compare the sugars, carbs, fats, etc. Also, there is a soft and chewy version. There’s no way there isn’t some kind of preservative (in the other versions as well) that many parents might choose to avoid.
We can shoot up any food with vitamins but it’s another story entirely to remove the “bad” stuff.
Right on. Just don’t eat the whole box, people!
I’d like to see the ingredients list, personally!
Do not be fooled – they are NOT Nutritious. I wrote a review here: https://thefrugaldietitian.com/?p=23371
Tops Markets have them on sale starting Sunday 2 for $5.00.
I just saw these today at Walmart. I wish that I’d known about this coupon! I may be heading back soon.
I just went to print and I couldn’t find it??? 🙁
I got greedy & tried to print 2 …now their gone! WT? Does this happen or am I going Nuts? haha
Got a $1 coupon for these in last Sundays SS in Hampton Roads, VA area. They are on sale at Farm Fresh for 2/$5. They were cleared out on Wednesday (Double coupon day) but restocked on Thursday. I looked at nutrition info because I am always leery of “health food”….they may be full of vitamins but they are also high fat and high sugar so I’m not sure this is such a good trade off. May buy a few to try since such a good price.
