I think you have Dollar General and Family Dollar mixed up at the end of the post?
LOL! It’s been a long night…thanks for catching that. 😀
There is a nailene coupon for 50 cents off on the family dollar site. Their coupon policy allows for Family dollar coupon to be combined with manufacturer coupon
Thanks! Just added it. 😀
I believe there is a $1/1 Bic Soleil Twilight 4pk store coupon for family dollar
Is this the dollar store where you can only buy like one item with a coupon per transaction?!?!? I had heard at either dollar general or family dollar people were being asked to only have one item with a coupon per transaction…
I’ve been going to Family Dollar the last week and it seems like you can only use one Family Dollar coupon per like item so you have to divide your stuff into several transactions to get the best deal. I take my mom with me and she buys a set of stuff and I buy a set of stuff.
Your family dollar accepts mfg coupons?
There are coupons for 2.50 off 2 covergirl products as well. Why can’t i buy 2 emery boards, 2 toe separators, and 2 clippers and use 2 of the $2.50 coupons and 1 of the $1 coupons?
I tried using the 2.50 coupon today and my family dollar store stated that at least one of the products had to be more than 2.50 so that they can type it in right. They could not type in the coupon amount even though the products I bought together were more that 2.50. Hope you all have better luck with these coupons than I did.
Does all family dollars accept mfg coupons?
Has anyone checked the FD coupon policy?? When it says that you can’t get an item for free, does that mean that none of the deals are acceptable under their policy? I tried the Reach and Cover Girl deals at my local Family Dollar and pretty much got chewed out for trying. :S Oops!
I am pretty sure the Family Dollar coupon policy is talking about “totally FREE without any purchases coupons”, not using “$1/1 Cover girl coupon” for $1 item.
Like if the coupon says “Free Cover girl nail clipper”, then you can not use it at Family Dollar. But if it says “$1/1 any Cover girl item” then if you want to use it with $1 nail clipper, then it should be okay.
I tried to use the Cover Girl coupons today. Tried the $1 off and the $2.50 off two and both times it denied them. The manager tried to tell me that since the picture had makeup on it then it would only worked for makeup. I think that is Bull, but whatever. Anyone know of another place to get Cover Girl stuff? Not makeup but like the tweezers and nail accessories? I tried the Dollar General but they only carry makeup.
I was able to use the coupons at my local Family Dollar, but a manager had to override and enter the amounts. I bought two Reach toothbrushes at $1 each and used two $1/1 coupons; Cover Girl emery boards, $1, and bigger emery boards for $1.50 and used $2.50/2; and CG eyebrow tweezers, $1, used $1/1 — they all beeped. The cashier got a second cashier to try and help and she mentioned she thought the CG coupons were for makeup — I very pleasantly said that seems odd because it says any product but left it at that…wasn’t worth getting upset over it to me. But then she said, let me get a manager and it was smooth sailing after that and I ended up paying 33 cents in tax. Thanks for the heads up Collin. One can never have too many emery boards.
I was told the same thing at my local store. It did bring me down a little, but I must say they were nice to me and my kids. I also admitted to them I had not read there coupon policy. So I guess lession learned there, yet I will be going there much less now.
I went to Familly Dollar today to buy reach toothbrush and the covergirl tweezers, the machine wouldnt allow the coupons. The cashier, so sweet, tried to help me and called the manager wich was worst… She ended up saying so loud this coupons are for get free products and we dont allow coupons for free products, like i was trying to steal the store…Whatever, i am not use to buy there anyways…going to use my coupons on another store like Walmart or Target… If the dollar stores want people use their coupons there they should train their managers better…Bummer!!!
Thanks for the heads up Collin anyway ;.)
At least, I was able to get 2 free Las Palmas enchilada sauce and 2 Libbys fruit can for 1 dollar at Dollar Tree…
I guess this is what there reading but to me, it could be taken a differnt way. I see it as a simple get one free item. They are acting like there not going to get paid.
Family Dollar will NOT accept coupons that:
Are from other retailers
Are expired
Are internet coupons without a scan-able barcode and/or promotion code
Contain the combination of an invalid barcode that won’t scan and
promotion code that the register will not accept
Are for “free” items, unless a purchase is required (i.e. Buy one get one
free is acceptable)
Do not have a “remit to:” address on the coupon
In addition:
“Cash Back” will not be issued if the value of the coupon is greater than
the purchase price of the item.
I went today and tried using $1 off one CG product. The coupon wouldn’t ring up and the cashier told me ‘i’m pretty sure this is only for makeup” so i told her “I’m pretty sure the coupon says $1 off one CG product and this is CG and it is a product.” She still stood there for a few more mins looking it over and then asked another cashier who eventually told her just to key it in.
