Do you think this was wrong?:

I like to give my kids Angus, a brand I feel good about because it’s not lips and a$$. LOL

    • shawna

      LOVE your comment!

      • DP

Thanks! Usually it’s only me laughing at my jokes! 😉

    • Smellyann

DP – Yes it was wrong, because all processed meats are gross and bad for you. 😛

I entered a comment anyway – for the turkey ones b/c we don’t do beef, which is especially bad (and dangerous) for you.

Coupon was up to $1.50 when I entered.

Why did you bother to participate if you feel so strongly about processed meats? Why do people feel the need to jump on their high horses and cut down everyone else all of the sudden on this site? I used to love reading the comments section because everyone was so sweet and helpful towards each other, but now it just makes me mad! Eat what you want and believe what you want, but there is NO need or place for anyone to cut down another person for eating certain things or NOT eating certain things. Geeeeeeeeeesh I’m so tired of people being flat out RUDE and no one saying anything about it!

        • Smellyann

Oh, get over it. You’re just mad because you know it’s true and you feel guilty about eating that crap. 😛

          • Zina

Whatever the meat from this brand, they are all the same grade/quality. Do you think that the turkey variety from this company is somehow less processed than the beef?

            • Heather H

As far as rudeness is concerned, it is a big part of why I have stopped reading some blogs. I have read a lot of discussions that went from helping each other get a deal to whether or not people are trashy. I even read one where a “minimal couponer” claimed that anyone who uses more than two or three coupons a week is a hoarder. She/He must not have known what “hoarding” actually means. It doesn’t mean just “stockpile”. I’m pretty sure most of use don’t have rotten food, dirty clothing, biological waste, and whatnot mixed in with our extra box of brownie mix and frozen veggies. I digress.

While we all are entitled to our own opinion, we also have an obligation to help one another. It is why we came here in the first place, isn’t it? For a little help? Let’s just focus on the deals and not the nastier side of food production. Everyone here is just trying to provide for their families and/or communities the best way they know how. This site has helped my family avoid more than one crisis, and hopefully will do the same for many other families. Thank you, Collin!

No, I don’t think the turkey is any better. If it’s free, though, I will happily donate it to my church food pantry. It’s up to someone else to decide whether to eat it.

Honestly, I didn’t think I was being rude or nasty in my OP. But to bury your head in the sand when there are all kinds of truths about the bad-ness of these products is, well, burying your head in the sand!!!

Wouldn’t be rather one a $5 coupon? Surely a package of hotdogs can’t be more than $5!

    • AnnaM

I think I saw the Oscar Meyer Angus dogs for just over $5 at the local grocery–which is one reason I don’t shop there often. I was so shocked by the price that it stuck in my head.

  3. Sue M.

I entered a comment about the Turkey ones, also; which I eat. The coupon value was also up to $1.50. I’m sure after all the hip2savers alone chime in, it will be free.

Thanks again Collin, for all you do!

  4. Becky

It’s just 600 from going up in value again – there is NO way this progressive will make it until August! I’m betting it’ll hit $2 before the end of the day (as people come home from work and hop onto Facebook).

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Was at $1.50 with 440 left to go till next increase…..

  6. Jennifer

I voted for the Bun Length Angus!. The way I see it, we’re only going to live once…why not eat “the bad things” every once in a while. I’m all for processed foods (in moderation)!

    • Who's on first?

Amen Sista! Gotta go sometime..I’m gonna enjoy my grub now and then. Everyone has their own preference..its all good! 🙂

      Get going people! Share share SHARE! I want my free meat dogs..beef dogs..turkey dogs…lips and a$$ dogs…or whatever!!!.. 🙂 🙂 🙂
