Although this is adorable, the American Association of Pediatrics recommends to NOT use a bumper and NOT use a blanket, rendering 2/3rds of the set useless.

I suggest wall mounting the quilt (it is really cute), and turning the bumper into a pillow or something. Perhaps a body pillow for the pregnant momma?

yup that’s what I did with the bumper from the set for my first kiddo!
Only useless for little babies! My 3-year-old twins still sleep in cribs and will likely stay in them for quite a while longer once I convert them into toddler beds. These quilts would be perfect for them as the weather cools. The bumpers are also great for them right now because they don’t keep each other awake at night as much when they can’t see into the crib next to them while lying down!
I definitely use a bumper since my little one sleeps wildly! Otherwise he would wake up with bruises on his head! He is also breastfed which reduces the likelihood of SIDS and we share a room!
