These kind of stuff is very familiar to me. Almost every household in Japan has similar kind of indoor/outdoor clothing dryer hanger.(not wall mount though) And they are useful. 🙂

Going to try to convince hubs to let me order it. We havent owned a clothes dryer in over 7 yrs! This looks more fun than my wood racks!

Looks like an upside down umbrella with a wall mount. Either way, neat idea!

does anyone worry about mold when drying clothes indoors? I’m concerned about it.

    • Jessica

No, as the clothes dry quickly enough it wouldnt be an issue. If you live in a house that already has a huge mold problem, maybe, but otherwise they arent going to grow mold in a matter of a few hours.

Actually, it’s great in the cooler months for adding a little humidity back into the air if your central heat dries out the air in your home. During the winter and summer, our clothes dry in less than four hours, eight or so if no HVAC is running. Definitely not enough time for mold, which needs damp surfaces (not just damp air) for days or weeks.

I have almost the samething in my washer and dryer room and I put a fan facing towards the clothes. I don’t have windows and it’s the nest best thing. I can dry towels in less than 2 hours with the fan on them and them hanging!!! Also, I use one of those little fans that puts out very little electricity!! I use it mainly for my husbands things and the towels and heavier stuff that wastes the most electricity!! 🙂

I hand dry all of my 23 month old’s clothes because most of them are smocked dresses. I have never had any problem with mold.

We so needed a solution for the laundry room in our new house. Not enough room for a traditional clothes line or a wooden rack. There is however the perfect space for this about the sink! Thanks so much for sharing!
